@@Blakktastikvision Awesome bro! Lc racing made a winner here. I'm eyeing the lc10b5 as a future buy and maybe a tenshock motor for the lc12b1. I agree with you that this thing drives and handles like a champ.
@@GuyslacklusterRcReview I just recently finished my 10b5 build also! Runnin a sensored 7700kv 2s castle mamba x........superb handling! You won't be disappointed! Just watch your manual closely.......i had a few parts identification mistakes in mine, but it's definitely high quality!
If you are on facebook, I recommend joining the Lcracing group. There are some really knowledgeable people in the group that can help you with various set-ups for different conditions for this buggy.
@@jean-marcrevill3175 I only had Tamiya anti wear grease and some old shock oil lying around(30w) at the time. For general bashing, they are doing pretty good.
I don't think the manual recommended the weight of the oil. If I recall correctly, I think 35 front and 40 rear for shocks???? For the diffs, I just used Tamiya aw grease.
The oils and bearing are extra stuff I have lying around the house from my old kits. The bearing is from my Tacon short course truck. Contact the dealer where you are planning to get from, I saw on a fb group that one person has a kit with oils included. Sorry I am not much help but you cannot go wrong with this kit. I've had good experiences ordering from Riptide.
you prolly dont care but if you are bored like me during the covid times you can watch all the new movies on Instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my gf for the last months :)
Thanks! I ended up using a stock setup from the Tacon Rally. It's a 380 4500kv motor with a 35amp esc. Here's a running video of it. ruclips.net/video/jn01of5xJBo/видео.html
UCmenierian: Thanks, but i actually live in puerto rico and had an hurricane passed in our area. But is there anyway they could like ship it here?? But i saw another store called RcMart, and they have every LC racing product. Anyway stay safe and thanks for the help!!
@@ruthfeliciano4744 Sorry to hear about the hurricane. Hopefully no one got seriously hurt. I'm not sure if they will ship to Puerto Rico though. Rcmart is a legit company and I've ordered from them many times. The only thing is that recently shipping prices are higher than normal.
UCmenierian: O yeah shipping prices have been higher than normal, but it’s because the covid-19. if it wasn’t by the covid stuff shipping prices wouldn’t be high. But thanks for the good information, and have a nice day!!!
Got back into RC because of covid with the 144001, it's nice, but I'm looking for something that built a bit better, without as much slop. Question: which would you recommend between the rc12b1 or emb-t? The EMB-T will do both just fine, going back and forth from buggy to truggy, with a body and wheels. I'm not sure the lc12b1 will like it as much, though. It does look like a lot higher quality and design. I prefer buggies, but like the flexibility of doing both. The other concern is availability of parts and general support. Can't seem to find as many spares online. What would you do?
I've seen people in the Facebook Lcracing group that converted the Lc12b1 to Truggy succesfully. Personally I enjoy driving the LC12b1 more than the Truggy even though the T can go on rougher surfaces. I'm not sure where you're located, but I haven't had any issues ordering parts for it in the USA. Of course it's not as supported as the big brands but so far, it has beeen good and smooth.
@@GuyslacklusterRcReview I'm in east Asia. Banggood and Ali aren't a problem, but I don't have any shops around where I can go try to see if stuff fits, and can't just buy everything online in case it fits. The rc12b1 is very very tempting.
@@irishlinuxgeek Yeah the lc12b1 is one of my favorites. Over here, I also only get online support for them since no shops carrry lc or Tacon. I have a brushed Tacon Sct for a couple years already and really haven't broken anything on it except the body. Almost all parts from the lc 1/14 and 1/12(and even the 1/10 touring car I believe) are interchangeable and people even used losi and associates parts. If you are not already on the lc groups on facebook, I highly recommend joining because there are tons of good info on there. Are you close to Rcmart.com? They seem to have a good amount of lcracing stuff and they are a solid company. At the end of the day, parts support is really important. It is a tough choice and I wish you luck.
finally gots it! on special now at 175! almost got it last year also but last minute cancellation. Where\d you get Tenshocks from? how do you like the kv rating? esc? Wooohh!
Nice man!! I got it from riptiderc and it's 4850 kv. I feel like it's a decent balance for dirt and parking lot. The esc is not too bad also. I am curious about the higher kv ones though. I've heard people throw in 6k plus and it rips.
Thanks for saying that. This 12 scale model has slightly different motor layout and beefier arms(might fit the Tacons and the other lcracing cars also). Besides those differences and maybe a few others that I might've missed, I'm estimating about 80 percent of the parts are the same. But when comparing similar models of Tacon and Lcracing such as the brushless Soar and emb-1, the only noticeble difference that I am aware of is the body material with the chassis being pretty much identical.
Great video
Thanks for sharing . Such a nicely engineered machine... we will be looking at doin 1:12 buggy soon

Awesome! Was just thinking of buying one of these tomorrow! Will wait and see your running video first :D
Thanks! Hopefully I can get a running video out soon. I'm anticipating the weekend or early next week.
I like it !
It does look like some quality control of components and craftsmanship of them went into the design.
Yeah everything is good except for the typo in the manual 🙂
