Wish i had a track like that one in my state❤️Exactly the atmosphere that turned me off to to racing and eventually RC cars all together. Nothing funner than going to a track and getting treated like crap because you dont run what the locals run or happen to be new to racing 😒 got into helicopters and airplanes a few years ago and gotta say its a lot more relaxing and friendly.
Seeing Stemp laughing and going goofy around the track really makes the hobby seem like so much fun. I only wish all the tracks were this fun and lighthearted cause you guys have such a wonderful time
@@Offical_KingCorgiGaming the closest track I have to me is kind of in an "unsavory" part of town. And it sucks because all the bad people race and bet money on it all the time.. BIG money :p and it doesn't give people like me or even young kids a chance to be able to race around a track. :/ They make a big deal out of it like it's a public track you see.. but I have to pay one of the hoodlums to be able to race on it. Even if you go there early. In the morning and no one is there. If the gangs catch you. They will demand money and if. You don't have it they will either take your car.. if it's nice... Or smash it. I've seen it happen... The city police has been notified COUNTLESS times. But they seem to want nothing to do with it... Oh well.. I guess I can go around in a small circle in my backyard. Or up and down my street. With hellacious potholes... If I ever get a house with some. Land I'm gonna build a super nice RC truck. And it's gonna be free for anyone. And gambling in the race will be a no no.. ALL FOR FUN ;) ;)
For those watching, the LC10B5-that's their "race version" of a 1/10 buggy. The PGT-1 (shown in this video) is more for bashing. Obs, who cares, and you can race both-but, being a super fan of LC Racing, I thought it was worth mentioning. Also, the LC10B5 is a kit that needs to be built vs. the PGT-1 will come pre-built. The PGT-1 comes with a slipper clutch and is mostly plastic while the LC10B5 comes with a center diff and comes with tons of carbon fiber. As Kevin would say-that's enough techno babble.
Hands down greatest racing video. Seeing the smile on stempies face though out the race is priceless. Driving his broken car around the track was epic and watching Ken driving, the way over powered mini, just had me laughing out loud. . That's the way it was when I joined the hobby back in the 80's. It was all about fun and making friends that have the same interest, and not taking yourself so seriously that you forget these are just very expensive toys. I enjoy your channel tremendously and would fly across the pond to enjoy a day of racing FUN.
We used to race the Losi mini on indoor carpet close to 20yrs ago. We cut down 10th scale foamies and fitted them to the losi… HUGE difference! Keep up the great videos! You have resparked the rc fire in my soul!
That looks like a blast. Everyone smiling and having fun. That's what the hobby is all about. My cheap rc break the pins a lot to. Guess it's a cheaply made part. Great video
Kev, I gotta be honest here……and this is a big statement…. but this is your absolute best episode yet in my opinion!!! Just knowing that a racing club exists where people actually smile while inside the building let alone racing has gotten me excited again. Now I just need to find a track remotely close!! That 1:18 Losi was a rocket ship! One of the comments here said he put a 3S setup in his….. You need to do that please!!!!
I agree his vids have gotten me back into it. Against my wifes wishes lol. Our friends dad hosts an outdoor track in OK about 3 hours away. So im looking forward to smoking him on his track this year!
I've been a hobbyist my entire life. The one thing I've learned is cheaper isn't good when you play hard.. I raced every week end for years my b 44.1 is still a monster still rocks the track.. it wasn't cheap but I've had it for years!! I got a bunch but that one is big $ but it don't break and is ready to race!!
The one thing I tell newbies to rc racing is that you dont need the latest and greatest to get started. If you come with a basic rtr buggy, that's cool. If you enjoy racing you can upgrade later to something better. Hell, I still race my old Team Associated B5M on club days and it still holds it's own against newer buggies.
The main difference with a digital radio is the ability to set steering end points and overall steering and you can also make the car easy to drive by setting steering exponential/steering curve. A high end radio is as much about the feel of it rather than how responsive it is. This year I've just changed from a normal digital servo to a brushless servo and it has again made the car easier to drive, seems to track straighter.
The higher end radios do have significantly better latency. You don't need the M17 to get that, but I could feel the difference between a radio link and sanwa and testing I've seen confirms its real.
Went from a cheaper end radio (Core Rc) to a Sanwa, and needed to learn again, the response time is instant with the sanwa, and kept turning in too early. Couple of days getting used to it, then start altering settings.
Oy Mate. You have a great saying, whatever puts a Smile on your face. I gotta say... I'm always Smiling when you get together with your Mates. The Boat episode the dingy with Stemp was Hilarious! I'm liking this long clip of you and your Mates just having Fun at the RC Club. That's what it's about. I'm a Noob, a couple new Mini Zs I just started to wrench with, and haven't even decided on a bigger scale rig yet because I'm still doing the research. And you are helping me out an awful lot. Keep Ripping!! Great Channel.
That was hilarious!! As others have said, these clubs are normally a fun free zone, but that was great! Also great to see the young lad there, having a blast regardless of what toy he had! Stempy kills me 😅
I’ve been a fan for years and I’m glad you found a track where you can race and have fun..as a bonus seeing you come in first is awesome..keep up with some more race content when you can!! Love it 🔥🔥🔥
I love watching your videos. I’ve been watching your videos for three years. they’re the best RC videos out there. You’ve inspired me so much with RC cars.
Hi Kev it's nice to finally see a Losi Mini model on your channel. I suggest you could also get the Mini-B and race it against the Mini-T. Both models got brushed and brushless setups, I think you're gonna have a good time with those. Also you can also get the Mini-B pro roller version and make it your 1/16 project racer. Cheers.
Enjoying the buggy racing man. Looks just as much fun as bashing. I enjoy watching your channel aways full of energy! I tryed racing before and the place I went to was just too serious
Cheap out on your electronics starting out, but get a name brand kit. The issue with weird off brand chassis is that parts support is horrible. You also have a lot harder time getting help with setup at the track. Running the same chassis as the fast guys you usually will help you set up your car. To be clear, the name brand kit isn't about going faster, its not having a frustrating experience and a broken car that ends up sitting on the shelf.
Kool stuff ...and if this RUclips thing doesn't work out for you maybe a couple of big sponsors and run the pro class worldwide I think you got the skills 👏 👍 😉
Hey kev great video, you have to tell stempy, to turn down his dual rate , he was all over the track he had to much stressing, nice buggy and good driving Kevin 2nd place well done brother, thanks your friendly neighborhood Doorman william from NYC forgettaboutit 👊 😀
You know, these aren't too bad considering. Even the Re re Ultima spits the back hinge pins out on high grip like carpet. A British company makes solid metal retainers for the Ultima to help with it. Proper tyres on these things, then maybe tuning the expo or end points and such, might help with the steering. Plus some tuning of the suspension. They might be a good level entry car to get into racing??
One of great things about the expensive top-of-line Sanwa or Futaba radios is you can tune the servo speeds and feels to make them easier to drive. Most pro racers are turning down the servo speed 10-20% when racing with the ultra-fast servos on the carpet. Takes away some twitchiness and makes it easier to just push the car hard and get consistent fast laps with fewer mistakes. Slower is faster is more than a stupid racing cliche.
People still get mad when you say cheap or expensive even if it is relative, I’d say for a toy grade £1-£40 is cheap, £50 is average, £60-100 is expensive and at £100 is about the point between toy and hobby and for hobby £100-£300 is cheap, £400-£500 is average and £600-£1000+ is expensive
I will like to say Kev I love watching your videos and have been subscribe to your channel for about 4 years it’s great to see your Monster Truck finished. Can not wait to see you and your monster truck in a Monster Truck Event 👍👍🇦🇺
LC Racing is a very popular new-born brand in China. In our RC community, almost everyone has one on hand even we all have top tier buggies like AE and Losi because LC cars are quite cheap while having the pretty decent quality and performance.
Your nation has practically shown the RC world community what a ripoff Japanese brands are! Kyosho are NOTHING now & all Tamiya can do is cater to my generation's nostalgia (I'm 44 yrs old).
Hey Kev I was wondering if you can give some advice on what servo I should use in my Arrma Typhon 550 Mega. I am looking for something with metal gears that is under $60 USD. Thanks
Can't you make a rounded or arched roll cage that roll the car until it's on its wheels ? It couldn't stay on the roof or its side then, always getting back on its wheels.
There was a car trick team that had a shortened VW rabbit it as shortened and had a curved roll bar over the top. They would hit the brakes and roll it over on its roof I belive I've also seen a lada do the same thing. I have done a stoppie (endo) in a Kei truck
"Double wishbone" suspensions have upper and lower wishbone shaped arms connecting the hub to the chassis. The Losi is an independent single wishbone suspension design with upper turnbuckle links just like the RC10.
Hey Kev, I haven’t been watching you for a long time but I really love your content and sometimes I feel like there isint enough videos to watch. Im new to the rc world and I would appreciate if your review the ftx tracer ( my only rc car ) as I would like to see your thougts! Thanks 😊
Kev I would like to see you do 1/10th scale rc drag racing and maybe try and make a car that can do 1.5 sec or lower as I believe the recorded is 1.59. And also I would like to see a cheap 1/10 scale drag rc build as well
Where I live in Guernsey we have a club that races 1/18 scale on an indoor circuit, the Losi features quite a lot, great little car, I have one of course so I'm biased lol.
hello, what a good video, I have an ATTACK dino from Maisto and I was wondering if you had it because I want to improve it but I don't know how, so if you could make a video with the dino so that I can improve it
There’s not really any point in that. Most cheap servos now have metal gears so they’d basically look the same. The difference is in the speed and torque
So nice to see a nice none pretentious elitist race club. People racing and just enjoying themselves.
yes, its a breath of fresh air! wish more clubs were like it
Well said. The attitude of most racers is why I gave it up.
Where is this club kev

I know I love watching videos when Kev and Stemp get together I laugh so much my face hurts...we all need a Stempy in our lives

Thanks for clearing that up. Because they were less than impressive.
Thought they did a more high end car.
yea, thats why the chassis seems familiar, it looks pretty much the same as my ptg2r
@kevin-so you mind pinning this so folks will know the "techno-babble" behind this model?
but for the price its better than most

Hey Kev… keep up the good work bro… love the content….. love your vids…. I’ve been a huge fan from your beginning. All the best champ..
Cheap RCs have a good place in the hobby.
I started on a TT02 and was keeping up with thousand $$ chassis in VTA racing.
I’ve been a fan for years and I’m glad you found a track where you can race and have fun..as a bonus seeing you come in first is awesome..keep up with some more race content when you can!! Love it 🔥🔥🔥
That looks cracking fun... Going to have to find out what local clubs near me are like I think
Hey Kev just to let you know the mini losi is a 1/18 scale and that on horizon hobby you can buy a 3s battery for it I think to give it more POWER
Put a CC sidewinder 3s 5400kv combo in mine and I can confirm it's absolutely absurd
that would blow the esc
That rock music realy rocks the amps out of the lipo core.

Feom my experience, in RC you definitely DO get what you pay for! If it's cheap, it's cheap for a reason!
Budget race cars are good to get in the hobby. But high-end brands just have better replacement part support, and they last longer.
Awesome video. Love Vinny and Stemp. Really enjoying your buggy racing videos 😃
Love the video.watching from sunny majorca whilst lounging by the poole.and the losing is fun think it's the mini t
That's the coolest rc racing video I've seen in a long time.
It's nice to see Kevin making people happy :)

They don’t have to be necessarily top of the line, as my 4pm has all those features

Kev, are you going to do a build of the 30th anniversary kyosho mp10 I seen in the background? I managed to get my hands on one too😎
Those indoor carpet tracks are so much fun !
Dude , you look very funny in the thumbnail! Love it. Is nice
Makes me want to hunt down my old Rc car from when I was a kid & upgrade all it's electronics & see how it goes.

That racing buggy is quick as hell. Super responsive. For 2s its incredible.
hey kevin love the videos especially the moster truck builds keep it up
Stemps always been my favorite kev friend on this channel, absolute legend!
Love seeing everyone just have proper fun like it's supposed to be. That kid with the old rig would've been me with my stadium blitzer 30 year's ago
i love you and this is my dream to get this types of cars i have 5 RC cars but they are not fast enough
$30 Amazon special motor and ESCs have been incredibly reliable to me

I have the 2.0. Really a fun little thing.
Hi, I'm from Vietnam 🇻🇳 and
I really like your channel 😍
Friends having fun with Rc. Thanks for the laughs!
Hiiii ypu are the best youtuberr
Hey Kev
I was wondering if you can give some advice on what servo I should use in my Arrma Typhon 550 Mega. I am looking for something with metal gears that is under $60 USD. Thanks
21kg ecoboost i would say but you might have to change servo horn if it came with sprktrum servo
Can't you make a rounded or arched roll cage that roll the car until it's on its wheels ?
It couldn't stay on the roof or its side then, always getting back on its wheels.
The aerodynamics and the center of mass would be kinda f*cked then, but if youd manage to overcome those, yes, itd be pretty epic mate

Kevin, do a Losi Tenacity DB Pro video mate, you will love bashing that little monster, I promise!!!
Really interesting
Kevin I love your videos I want to be like you when I grow up a have a channel as well and I only have 123 subs
So glad you finally got a brushless Mini T!! That stock Dynamite system is legit 💪 one of my favorite cars (I now have five of them 🤣)
I Just love this kind of videos Kev! Makes me feel like a kid again. 😃👍
Wow that mini t is lively!! Haha loved it mate
You got me wanting to get into racing now lol
Nice video kev it held up ok for a cheepo good review glad I watch your channel 🙏👍
Losi mini-t is ace. My son has the brushed and I have the brushless. It has dual rates so you can speed them up even more than they come stock!
Another great video as always thanks Kev
i dont know about you all, but everytime i see an RC i get happy everytime, since i was a kid... it feels the same
Congrats on a first place finish mate! 👍🏻🍻
you are very creative w the vid ideas, thanks for the awesome content
Lovely video Kev! I don’t think anyone would say anything while they were being filmed! 😂
Propper mash up with the lads. Awsome
Not related to this video really but Kev you really gotta try rustler 4x4 wheels/tires on the slash😉 Integy xd axles👍
I love kt vids. They always make me happy. I love all the expensive tumble wumbles

too much speed boss kevin!!!good race
hello, what a good video, I have an ATTACK dino from Maisto and I was wondering if you had it because I want to improve it but I don't know how, so if you could make a video with the dino so that I can improve it
Can you take apart a cheap and an more expensive servo and show the difference inside?
There’s not really any point in that. Most cheap servos now have metal gears so they’d basically look the same. The difference is in the speed and torque
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS KEV, also, your teeth are so perfect now congratulations on that too mate 😅
Are your ESC´s setted just on forward-backward or with break?
