Raised my children and commuted to NYC from Chatham for over 25 years. Towns along the Morris & Essex NJ Transit all have great service. But we still left at retirement due to the astronomical taxes both property & income.
I really appreciate her way of speaking and phrasing. she is very talented and pleasant. I just lost a family member who was a great conversationalist and I am finding these videos very comforting.
I loved loved living in Morris Plains. 1 hour into the city and there are so many great restaurants within a 1/2 hour from home. The fresh produce especially the tomatoes and corn - amazing.
has everyone forgotten about essex county???? montclair, glen ridge, Bloomfield, south orange maplewood, Millburn - all with direct train service to ny in less than 30 minutes!
Voy a viajar a NY en octubre y quiero visitar también NJ. Así que tu video es imprescindible!!! Por cierto, ya no has hecho nuevos vídeos, son muy útiles. Ojalá puedas hacer un vídeo pronto!!! Translation: I am going to travel to NY in October and I want to visit NJ as well. So your video is essential!!! By the way, you haven't made new videos anymore, they are very useful. I hope you can make a video soon!!!
Noticed a bit of inaccuracy regarding the NJ transit. I live in Clementon in south jersey and I drive to Trenton train station which takes about 45 mins, then the train to Penn station takes about an hour and a half. Also, the train runs from about 9am-12am
Thanks for sharing this info! I mostly only report on transit from the eastern central areas through northeastern NJ as I have less knowledge of the south Jersey transit system. The transit in our area runs from 4am to around midnight. Thanks for sharing more about southern NJ :)
@@jennacavadas-realtor8650 NJ Transit is literally a Commuter Rail system. In that it doesn't run constantly. Yes there are trains in Rush Hour but trying to get somewhere after 11 can be dicey at best. Then the trains flow out of Penn in the Afternoon rush. Then it gets sparse again after Rush Hour. It's not like regular bus service. Yes It can only come every hour but at least you know it will come. NJT Rail that's a crap shoot after Rush Hour.
My god so many errors. Path is 24 hours, you did not mention any of the towns on the Montclair boonton Branch with one seat rides like Montclair and Bloomfield, and what about the towns with good commuter bus service to Port Authority like Wayne, Pompton lakes, Wanaque Paramus etc
The only reason to stay in NJ is because you have family there. over priced, crowded, taxes, shit weather and people who never left and think they are worldly because they have been to Aruba or Miami. Being close to NY doesn't make up for all the bad things
Newark. Newark. Newark. A great art and music scene. An incredibly diverse demographic. Affordable rents. From my apartment: walk out my door the NJ Transit buses to Penn or Broad St. Station. Path or NJT from Newark Penn to lower Manhattan From Broad St. NJT trains to NY Penn. Total transit time from either place is under an hour. Unless you have a specific need to mow a lawn, avoid the Bergen, Morris and other outlying counties. They are expensive and boring. Local suburban towns are notorious for petty corruption and ill trained police. Newark, Newark, Newark
“Quick” access to the city is an exaggeration - in some of the cities you named. I know because I lived in one of them and commuted to NYC. Took me 4+ hours every day and cost me about $125/week to commute to NY from NJ - so I’m not sure what your definition of “quick” actually is

Thank you, this was such a kind compliment. I’m so sorry for your loss and glad I can offer some comfort at a difficult time. Be well 😊

No mention of towns in Northeast corridors?????
Thanks for the idea! I had wanted to do this as a separate video and it fell off the list! Thank you 😊🙌
