c'mon Jackie...I iknow you're a bergen County gal, but what about essex county??? Montclair, Bloomfield(not expensive) both have great bus and direct train service(20 minutes) into the city! oh, did we forget about South Orange and Maplewood????
Hi Jackie, we love your videos and insights! We live in Paramus and commute to NYC using bus (30%), but also Park & Ride locations (70%) at Vince Lombardi or Ridgewood - which are amazing.
Hi Jackie, I love your channel. Thank you for doing this. I live in Brooklyn, but planning to move to NJ. In this video you covered purchasing prices. Wonder if you release a video about renting prices. Thanks again
Hi! Thank you for watching! I don’t think I will be making a video about rentals. If you would like more info about it, send me an email and we can discuss. Jackiebakersellsnj@gmail.com.
Hi Jackie. I really like your content. I think fair lawn should get a mention. There are two train stations with the one on Radburn having nonstop to Secaucus. And there are buses all over the place. My commute from door to door is about an hour.
What Pascack Valley? Westwood has a wonderful center of town that is not a strip-mall with a Police Station/Town Hall and both Bus and Rail access to NYC/Hoboken.
Grew up in Bergen county, moved to West Milford in 87 o Greenwood lake and commuted to Fort Lee for 30 years. About 38-40 miles one way. Only problem is WM is Passaic county and did jury duty 4X. West Milford property tax was pretty high. Move to South West FL in 2015. I bought a nice 3 bed 2 bath central air home for 62 grand cash. FL these days ( Dec 7 ) the home prices way overpriced and currently prices are dropping fast. Looks like 2008 here. 1/2 abandoned home sites.
Sup with the Athens of the East "Leonia" GWB or 166/11A buses, 30 minute commute now its the Highest percentage asian but for anonymity its great, taxes suck,, no bars not that anyone cares its worthy of its own youtube episode check out Wikipedia

I grew up in Caldwell and took the bus lines - one hour to Manhatten

Out of all the town listed - Liked Glen Rock the most - was there back in 2000 to look at the big rock on Rock road
I love Glen Rock!!

Which option is the best for family with good public schools?
Anywhere in Northern Bergen County. Check out my video about the best school districts in Bergen County.
thank you for this video Jackie
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!
@@JackieBaker No worries. Keep up with the great work
What about Secaucus?
All nice towns….but if your looking for a easy commute you can’t beat JC (downtown) or Hoboken.
Left Garfield out....with good reason.
Very interesting content. Ty
Thank you for watching!
Great video, can you do a similar video focusing on towns of Hudson Couty NJ? Thanks!
Hi Jackie. Your videos are awesome!! How are the schools in Rutherford?
Thank you so much! I recommend checking Niche.com for information about schools. Thanks for watching!
What is the best place to buy home for commute near to NYU Tandon college? No best school requirement.
What about my favorite towns in Bergen County; Mahwah and Upper Saddle River? Easy commute to NYC?
Hey Steve! You can commute by train from those towns but it will take about 90 minutes or more. Thanks for watching!!!
While I like Mahwah and Upper Saddle River, Bergen County...I: everyone goes to nyc, no one from nj is from nj these days
Having lived in Mahwah for 27 years, catching the express from Ramsey Rt17 can have you in Manhattan in less than 40minutes
Englewood 15 minutes to uptown Manhattan. 40 minutes to midtown 😁
Hi Jackie! What about the commute from Roxbury, NJ?
You're looking about an hour by bus and hour and 30 minutes by train.
Bergenfield is a great area as well to NYC
Hi, great video! Can you share commuting times for Haworth, NJ. In addition, how are the bus lines? Frequent schedule? Or difficult to get
You should check NJ Transit website for any scheduling info
Great video, thanks!
You little beauty! And you've done so much research; what an eager beaver!
Hey Jackie, what's your professional opinion on Belleville ?
Don’t really know that town
Have you ridden the train and buses to these towns?
🔥🔥🔥
what about Union and Springfield? are they good places or bad place to live in NJ?
I don't know those areas. Check out Niche.com for more info and data.
@@JackieBaker Seems, it's not on neither list of the greatest place to live nor the worst place to live in NJ. But, seems close to Newark.
You don’t even mention Union County which is closer to midtown and lower Manhattan than anyplace in Bergen County!
Thanks for watching. Good point.
"*That* Lincoln Tunnel"??
Thanks
New brunswick i just moved there and dont here much about it. Is that a hood thing lol
What about Edgewater?
Edgwater is an excellent option
"*The* Port Authority"??
Kearney NJ nobody talks about I'm interested to know
It's Kearny not Kearney.
😯
I didn’t hear a single reasonably short commute. thanks anyway
Your welcome
