Hi there Leah! I think we need a Swedish candy do-over. I went to 4 or 5 places and asked the people working there what their favorite candies were, and then bought all the suggestions. I was specifically asking for chocolates, gummy candies, and anything banana or caramel flavored. Michael loves candy & I was hoping to surprise him with a bunch of good stuff! I went to a gas station, a book store, and 2 or 3 candy & chocolate shops and bought everything recommended to me. In hindsight, I'm wondering if maybe they knew I would take anything and gave me some of the non-best sellers LOL. I've heard from several Swedish people now that I unfortunately missed out on some of the best Swedish candies, what a bummer. Hopefully next time, whenever we're able to go back and visit, we can find all the right candies & chocolates! We're always open to suggestions if you would like to suggest some! :).

Hi there! At the time when we filmed this video, we thought these were all Swedish candies. They were all things Julie bought in Sweden that we had never seen before in the US (minus the chocolate frog). She did ask people at multiple stores to help her pick out candy that Swedish people eat & like. We understand now that not all of the candy was made in Sweden though. Hope you enjoyed the video! 💛💙💛

Hi there! Julie here. I do feel like we missed out on a lot of the better Swedish candy. I went to maybe 5 different places, from candy shops to gas stations to a bookstore, and asked the people working there what they recommended or what their favorite candies were, and that’s how I wound up with this assortment. In hindsight I’m wondering if perhaps some of this was maybe stuff that needed to be sold because no one was buying it, because some of it was just not great!! 😂😂😂. We would love your recommendations for what the best Swedish candies are. We’ll be back in Sweden soon I hope and would love to track down a scavenger hunt list of what you think we would enjoy! Hahaha unfortunate taste, that's also a possibility! I had an AWESOME time in Stockholm. I was there with 2 friends who were in town for the hockey games last November. It was a really huge deal to hockey fans from the US, although I don't know anything about hockey! I was just tagging along because Sweden was a bucket list country I wanted to visit. I really regret that we did not have time to see any more of Sweden than just Stockholm. Michael wasn't able to go on this trip, so he and I are hoping to take a trip back together in warmer months and see more of the country as a whole. I will say I was totally impressed with Stockholm. What a beautiful, CLEAN, nice city, very easily walkable, with so many gorgeous public parks. The food was awesome too, I was not prepared for how good the reindeer meatballs are! I filmed our entire trip and am planning to put those videos out in March as I finish editing them (vlogmas and daily videos in January and February put me a bit behind on my uploading schedule). I hope you stick around to watch them and tell me what you think!

That would be awesome! We'll for sure let you know when we can make it back. I so want to see Uppsala & Gothenburg! And I'd absolutely love to drive up and see the northern Swedish mountains.... My favorite part of the Stockholm trip was probably Skansen and seeing what historical, natural Swedish history was like. That was such a beautiful park. What a wonderful country you live in!
