Ever since I started using liettleextra coco onioon shampoo and hair conditioner, there's been a good reduction in hair fall. My hair feels softer and looks shinier. When I used other shampoos I faced more hair fall. Additionally, I now use a scalp massager which I believe is also helping reducing hair fall.
I’ve been applying this Littlellextra Cocoonnion shampoo and oil and reactivaate hair serum for about a year, and trust me, even in areas where hair was missing, new hair roots began to develop after 5 months. Now, most of the previously bald areas are now covered with new hair. I will strongly recommend this product to everyone, it’s a product that requires consistent use, use it consistently, massage into the hair scalp for 20 minutes, and wash your hair the next day.
I was just diagnosed, through a scalp biopsy, Lichen PlanoPilaris. Its an autoimmune disease that causes permanent hair loss if not caught early. I have had it for at least 10 years. Wish I would have found it sooner. A dermatologist did the biopsy. I had a second opinion by a different Dermatologist. Both diagnosis came back the same.
I have diffuse thinning. I have had an itchy scalp for a long time. It started to just feel normal. I don’t have dandruff or anything- I just itch. I am iron, B12, and D deficient. I started supplementing all. I am glad to know this can help with the itchy. I am also switching to all fragrance free hair products.
From William’s Assistant Trichologist MJ: Hello Celeste! Have you tried taking our hair loss quiz yet? Please take the quiz to make sure you are able to address all the underlying reasons for your hair loss. You might also need to get blood tests. www.advancedtrichology.com/pages/quiz
@@WilliamGaunitzTrichologist hello- yes I have taken the quiz and I have Foligrowth which was suggested. The problem is my stomach can’t handle it :( but I have had blood tests done. My ferritin is 31, vitamin D is 30, and B12 is 230. I am supplementing all of those separately. Something about the multis upsets my stomach unfortunately. I have just ordered your ferritin supplement and I am taking a heme iron supplement which is easier on my stomach. Thank you for your reply.

Hey there! 👋 You’re absolutely right to notice that - great attention to detail! 😊 When it comes to Jojoba oil, it can actually be a helpful ingredient for many people dealing with dry, itchy scalp because it mimics natural sebum and adds gentle hydration. In certain formulas, it’s balanced with other ingredients that keep it from being too heavy, especially in our shampoos designed for scalp health. If you have an itchy scalp, a shampoo with anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, like ours, can often bring relief without causing buildup. But if you’re sensitive to certain oils, we can guide you toward a product without Jojoba - just let us know! ➡️ For more tailored advice, feel free to reach out at www.advancedtrichology.com/.

Hello doctor, I loved the video. I've had scalp eczema for a few years and experienced hair loss for about 1-2 years now, over time it seems that my scalp is becoming more and more visible. I've only recently started treatment, and to be honest I didn't use to wash my hair that often, but now I wash it every other day using a certain shampoo a dermatologist suggested. Is there any chance that the hair that was lost will grow back or is the loss permanent? Thank you

Hi Dr. Gaunitz. I have been to two dermatologist. One told me it was AGA, sent me out the door with spirolactone and said cya in nov. The second one I went yo said they didn’t see AGA but could be some TE but he wasn’t sure. I personally feel that a birth control I was on causes the loss. No women in my family have hair loss but my dad did. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice my loss until I noticed. Over 2020 I did lose 60lbs. I got my ferr tested it was 58 and my vitamin d was 31. I had hormones checked after coming off of said birth control and into one that can help with hair loss. I do also have an itchy scalp. Just need some kind of help, so I can go the correct path to get my hair back.
Thankyou so much for the informative video. I'm a licensed hairstylist, 10+ years and currently studying to become a certified trichologist. You mentioned not using oils on dry scalp, or washing them out no longer than a 45min window. I service the ethnic community and dry scalp is a severe plague for most of my clients. For years scalp oils and greases were a part of our styling standard. If someone if dealing with itchy scalp (which seems to be most of my clients) would a preshampoo oil treatment be beneficial? And should I rethink advising those clients to use a topical for dry skin relief in between there visits?
@itc804 what would you recommend to people having SD? I have it since high school (now I'm 28), itchy scalp is covered by flakes and the hair get oily very fast. In the last 4/5 years it is accompanied by severe hair fall (probably aga). I went to a dermatologist who prescribed me two shampoos, but almost nothing changed and she didn't care at all of hair loss.

Now it feels and looks my hair is much thinner. I also have white ish yellow stuff in my fingertips after I itch my scalp. I’m 18 and just trying to reverse this and figure out what’s wrong. I keep asking my parents to see a dermatologist, but they won’t let me. What shoudl I do to reverse this?

Hey doc! My scalp started itching suddenly in June 2019 accompanied with a lot of hairfall! It literally happened overnight and I have seen many doctors for it but nothing has worked till date! One of the doctors diagnosed me with seborrheic dermatitis and prescribed a steroid lotion and shampoo which didn’t help at all! She also put me on antifungal medication which also didn’t help.I am into fitness and I take a balanced diet along with some supplements. Itching and hairfall have taken a toll on my mental health! I was also on anti-depressants for some months! I have tried rosemary oil, tea tree oil, peppermint oil….mixed in shamoo or water! I literally tried everything in my knowledge but nothing is working! Also due to stress I am not able to sleep well which is worsening the problem nowadays….I desperately need help!
Also When i shave my hair the itching stops immediately and apparently all the hair grows back! It starts itching again when it grows longer! This is very frustrating!
Hey Adnan. I've been through the same thing. I had severe Seborrheic Dermatitis. It was really, really bad. All of my scalp itched like crazy every single second of every day for months. I lost almost all of my hair and my entire scalp was covered in white flakes. I lost so much sleep and I was suffering every day. I wanted to kill myself. That's how much it drove me crazy. The treatments that the doctor described in this video do actually work. The only note that I would add is that Seborrheic Dermatitis takes a while to go away (well it never really goes away as there is no cure, but the symptoms go away). It will take somewhere around 3months (I know, very depressing). But it is absolutely true. I can't stress enough how important it is to improve your diet. Dramatically increase your water intake and Vitamin D3. I take Vitamin pills. Because what's causing the itch really has to do with your immune system. There are internal toxins in the body that have to be flushed out. I found this out the hard way because I am a very unhealthy person when it comes to my diet. Thankfully my Seborrheic Dermatitis eventually did go away with time. But because I got too comfortable not suffering from the itch, I began drinking toxic drinks and neglecting water and Vitamin D3. I'm starting to feel my Seborrheic Dermatitis come back but it's in the very early stages, so I'm going to jump on treatments ASAP. I'm stressing this to you because dieting is the most important lesson to take away from this video. I would also like to add that washing into my scalp thoroughly with Ketoconazole (doctor prescribed) shampoo has helped lesson the impact of Seborrheic Dermatitis when I had it. So definitely use it for your scalp. Wash your hair very often-every single day if your Seborrheic Dermatitis is severe like mine was. Leave the shampoo in your hair for 10-15 before rinsing it out. DO NOT shower in hot water or wash your head with hot water. Don't even use cold water. Too much cold and heat can worsen inflammation. Use mild, warm water. After your hair is rinsed, while it's still wet, apply Triamcinolone (Doctor prescribed ointment for dry skin) onto the scalp. Rub it all over the scalp. Really make sure the ointment is soaked in there. Trust me, your scalp will get back to normal. Just follow the instructions included in this video. I wish you well 🙏

I have dry, flaky skin on my scalp because of using topicals drying out my scalp because I leave them in my hair overnight every night, but my head is NOT itching at all. Does that mean I have some underlying scalp condition?
Quick question, I know this is an older video, and in this one you say not to wash hair more than 3 times a week if someone has an itchy scalp with dandruff, and then there is a another clip where you recommend washing hair daily if someone is suffering from that same condition.. I'm not sure which one to follow?!

Does the scalp need to have flakiness in order to have one of these conditions? I've had subtle itchiness along with a very oily scalp with quite a few pimples since I came off birth control pill. No flakiness or face pimples though, just on the scalp. Also what are your thoughts on pure essential oils like peppermint, cedarwood, rosemary? Thanks William, much appreciated :))

I totally understand how frustrating it can be when you're trying to raise your **iron** or **ferritin levels** quickly, especially as a woman who may experience regular iron loss due to menstruation. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help speed up the process and boost those levels: ### 1. **Iron-Rich Foods** 🍽️ - Include more **heme iron** sources (which are better absorbed) like **red meat**, **liver**, and **poultry**. - **Non-heme iron** from plant sources like **spinach**, **lentils**, and **tofu** is also good, but it needs a little help for better absorption (more on that next!). ### 2. **Pair with Vitamin C** 🍊 - Vitamin C significantly boosts iron absorption. Have foods like **oranges**, **bell peppers**, or **strawberries** with your iron-rich meals, or take a vitamin C supplement alongside your iron. - Avoid pairing iron with calcium-rich foods or supplements right before or after meals, as **calcium inhibits iron absorption**. ### 3. **Iron Supplements** 💊 - For quick results, consider **iron supplements** like **ferrous sulfate** or **ferrous gluconate**. These are usually more effective at boosting ferritin quickly. - If regular iron supplements upset your stomach, look into **slow-release iron** supplements or those with a **gentler formula**. ### 4. **Avoid Iron Blockers** 🚫 - Certain foods and drinks can inhibit iron absorption, like **coffee**, **tea**, **dairy**, and **antacids**. Try to avoid these around the time you take iron supplements or eat iron-rich meals. ### 5. **Iron Infusion** 💉 - If your levels are really struggling to rise despite diet and supplements, you might consider talking to your doctor about an **iron infusion**. This is a quick and effective way to raise iron levels, especially if absorption through the digestive system is an issue. ### 6. **Monitor Other Nutrient Levels** 📊 - Check your levels of **vitamin B12** and **folate**, as deficiencies in these can also cause anemia and make it harder for your body to use iron effectively. ### 7. **Address Heavy Periods** 🩸 - If **heavy menstrual bleeding** is contributing to your low levels, speak with a healthcare provider about options like birth control, which can help regulate or reduce blood loss. Less bleeding means less iron loss each month! It can take a few months to see significant changes in your ferritin or iron levels, but with the right combination of diet, supplements, and lifestyle tweaks, you should start to see progress. Be patient, and stay consistent! 💪 ➡️ For more personalized guidance, feel free to reach out to us at [www.advancedtrichology.com/](www.advancedtrichology.com/)!

Hey doc! I’ve been having hair loss issues since the mid point of lockdown in May here in Malaysia. I suffered from a ton of stress and emotional trauma with an infection. Took a lot of asthma steroids (prednisone) for breathing, antibiotics for the infection, and omeprazole for acid reflux. Scalp itchiness started in June-July, had flakes and its been going on until today. Hair loss is continuous as well with thinning all over the scalp (my beard isn’t as great as before too). Currently using a hair serum which includes castor oil and a zinc pyrithione 1% shampoo for anti-dandruff. Been dermarolling as well (0.5-1.00mm). I applied a lot of coconut oil sometimes overnight during lockdown and i suppose it kickstarted the itchiness & inflammation. Unsure on what to do as I’m still facing hair loss with very minimal regrowth.

From William’s Assistant Trichologist MJ: Hello Manis! You need to make sure that your nutrients are optimal. You may take the Foligrowth and get blood test for ferritin, vitamin D3 and blood type. Use the shampoo and conditioner for the itching. You may take this hair loss quiz on our website to know which other products you'll need: www.advancedtrichology.com/pages/quiz
What’s a low levels vitamin d and iron i have done my blood test will be getting my results soon ? In the video there are very specific ranges listed for those. Just simply take a snapshot of that if you’re outside those ranges. You need to bring them up if it’s lower than the bottom end of the optimal range.

I’ve been quickly losing my hair especially on the frontal hair line and forehead area and the two front corners of my forehead basically the entire hairline I have some tiny hairs but it’s basically a line of hair then just straight balding scalp then back to hair if that makes sense. It started as extremely itchy scalp then big flake comes off my scalp. Now I wake up every morning my entire forehead is peeling off under my chin it’s peeling off and my hairline is peeling and flaking too. I’m terrified my hairline will never grown back and I’ll look like a weirdo forever. Any advice what it could be? It almost looks like sebborheic dermatitis but not as bad as what I’ve seen on the internet. I completely changed my diet from mainly bread and cheese and pre packaged meals to raw veggies and fruit and red meat. I also have various forms of eczema so I’m kind of lost what I should do. Mainly I want to know if my hair will grow back after it has fallen out due to brushing showering and also picking? It’s so itchy I can’t stop
Its a scam people.. don't fall for it.

What about red scalp syndrome? My dermatologist said they don’t know what causes it but that it sometimes coexists with androgenetic alopecia

Hello Doc you said no Jojoba oil but the shampoo on your website contains Jojoba oil!? a little curious what should I purchase for my itchy scalp.

What can you do to bring the levels up quickly, especially for cyclic women. It is taking forever and yet the numbers are not where they should be.
I totally understand how frustrating it can be when you're trying to raise your **iron** or **ferritin levels** quickly, especially as a woman who may experience regular iron loss due to menstruation. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help speed up the process and boost those levels:
### 1. **Iron-Rich Foods** 🍽️
- Include more **heme iron** sources (which are better absorbed) like **red meat**, **liver**, and **poultry**.
- **Non-heme iron** from plant sources like **spinach**, **lentils**, and **tofu** is also good, but it needs a little help for better absorption (more on that next!).
### 2. **Pair with Vitamin C** 🍊
- Vitamin C significantly boosts iron absorption.
### 3. **Iron Supplements** 💊
- For quick results, consider **iron supplements** like **ferrous sulfate** or **ferrous gluconate**. These are usually more effective at boosting ferritin quickly.
- If regular iron supplements upset your stomach, look into **slow-release iron** supplements or those with a **gentler formula**.
### 4. **Avoid Iron Blockers** 🚫
- Certain foods and drinks can inhibit iron absorption, like **coffee**, **tea**, **dairy**, and **antacids**. Try to avoid these around the time you take iron supplements or eat iron-rich meals.
### 5. **Iron Infusion** 💉
- If your levels are really struggling to rise despite diet and supplements, you might consider talking to your doctor about an **iron infusion**. This is a quick and effective way to raise iron levels, especially if absorption through the digestive system is an issue.
### 6. **Monitor Other Nutrient Levels** 📊
- Check your levels of **vitamin B12** and **folate**, as deficiencies in these can also cause anemia and make it harder for your body to use iron effectively.
### 7. **Address Heavy Periods** 🩸
- If **heavy menstrual bleeding** is contributing to your low levels, speak with a healthcare provider about options like birth control, which can help regulate or reduce blood loss. Less bleeding means less iron loss each month!
It can take a few months to see significant changes in your ferritin or iron levels, but with the right combination of diet, supplements, and lifestyle tweaks, you should start to see progress. Be patient, and stay consistent! 💪

If my dermatologist says it's the sebhorreic dermatitis how likely could he be that he is my mistaken and that it's genetic ?
It's worth mentioning that I went to two different GPs before , one thought it was tinae capitis and the other notes that my scalp was irritated and perscribed steroids.

That vitamin is like a one stop shop for me because usually I would take a antifungal pill for my sebboric dermatitis and add some type of hair regrowth pill as well as using minoxidil (my hair line is messed up needs immediate attention. What aboit diet I heard changing what we eat and stop eating foods that cause inflammation and itchiness does alot for hair and health . Ill take this vitamin probably with a probiotic as well
From William’s Assistant Trichologist MJ: That sounds like a plan! And yes, you're absolutely right. There are certain foods that are not compatible with your blood type and the moment you eat those foods, your body will create a bunch of inflammation causing more hair loss. Follow the Eating Right for your blood type diet for best results!

+ the hair i lose usually have white bulbs at the end of it. differs in sizes at times. but usually from the frontal area of my scalp rather than the crown area.
You need to get your nutrition tested and utilize an anti-fungal topical application

How many years of hairloss can grow back
Omg your my answer!!!! thankyouuu lord
I had nice hair up until I started drinking energy drinks and body building supplements such as Creatine and Pre-Workout. I developed heart issues and started to notice that after drinking caffeine my scalp would become itchy, tingly and have a burning sensation. My scalp issues became really bad but I never did anything about it for years until the damage and thinning became extremely noticeable. My family has really good hair genes, Not a single person on my moms side is bald and my dad had thick hair up until he started getting sick in his 50s.
Sound like you developed an sensitivity. Obviously a diet change and doing some things from the video would help reverse that.
I actually have tried your products years ago. My biggest issue was not changing my habits and diet, I'm currently cold turkey from caffeine. Time for round 2 with better habits this time.

In the video there are very specific ranges listed for those. Just simply take a snapshot of that if you’re outside those ranges. You need to bring them up if it’s lower than the bottom end of the optimal range.

No it is no the same. To convert ng/ml to nmol/L multiply the ng/ml by 2.5 for example 50 ng/ml is equivalent to 125 nmol/L.
@@WilliamGaunitzTrichologist so that would mean I’m deficient and my doctor said that I’m insufficient cuz I divided 32 by 2.5 and I got around 12ng . I started taking 4000iu and my doctor gave me 1000iu…
