thank you so much for this video... I bought a victorian house which needs a lot of work and I wanted to do my own crown molding and applique, thank you!
Using an alcohol spray over the top is helpful for bubble displacement. Also, I get a lip on my resin on the back and have to sand to get flat enough for adhesion to furniture. Don't forget your mold release.
I was thinking the exact same thing! I've never heard anybody pronounce it the way she did and I just wanted to tell her its app-lick-kay) so she would know for the future.😊
Thank you for the video! My question is why would you choose to use resin over modeling material? Or visa versa - when would you choose to use modeling material rather than resin? Thanks!
do u have a link for ur molds? The only ones I can find on Amazon are for cakes and way too small......and thanks....BEAUTIFUL job! Do u ever have to spray with a nonstick spray? And I'm sure these can be spray painted, right?
Yes and yes. The finish you apply may or may not hold up outdoors though so if you are planning on painting, be sure to use a paint/topcoat that will hold up outdoors as well.
Helpful suggestion: liked your video but it is pronounced “app lu Kay “ as in this video ruclips.net/video/jXyRk_G-5fQ/видео.html. Not meaning to be critical, just helpful. It’s actually a French word.
App-la-kay
Wood glue and sawdust mixture is an interesting medium too. Use a cornstarch dusting on the mold first so it doesn't stick. .
Great video! Thank you so much and for keeping “mistakes” in the video too.
Thank you Jade! Yup, lots of mistakes 😂
AP-LI-KAY

Awesome! I bought paper clay to use with silicon molds and it was a disaster. This seems much easier. You are so talented. Thank you for sharing.
great1i wish u had a tutorial for painting too!

I have them listed on the blog post under "Source List" here. :) salvagedinspirations.com/diy-resin-furniture-appliques-and-onlays/

Both work nicely but I find the resin easier than the modeling material.
The finished project looks so cute. What did you use for the gold color on your box?
Hi Joy! I used Redesign With Prima's Guilding Wax in Eternal... love this stuff! salvagedinspirations.com/diy-resin-furniture-appliques-and-onlays/
Thank you! I'm going to give it a try.
They look beautiful! But just an FYI, you’re pronouncing “appliqué” incorrectly.
I'm glad someone said it. 😂

I bought mine on Amazon but possibly HomeDepot or Lowes might carry them ??
Can these be used outdoors? Are they water resistant?
Yes and yes. The finish you apply may or may not hold up outdoors though so if you are planning on painting, be sure to use a paint/topcoat that will hold up outdoors as well.

dixiebellepaint.com/re-designed-by-prima/moulds/?aff=8 for the molds and amzn.to/2XdqseS for the resin I used. Hope this helps. :)
Hi where did you get your moulds from? I can't find any that are that big
Hi Megan! They sell them on Amazon amzn.to/31OJjxC or you can find a retailer here www.redesignwithprima.com/all-stores/ Hope this helps.
It's pronounced UH---PLEE---KAY, not UH---PLEEK
Thank you!
Sorry, but we missed the middle bit where you presumably paint the decals and the wooden box.
Can you please put a link of all the items that you are using?? Cos I've been searching for the past 3 days now n I couldn't find it...
She listed them under the other comment. But I can’t copy & paste.
