Seriously Angie, I’ve been doing this for 40 years.....! You have those enviable old school skills, but you work in such a beautifully intuitive way. No surprise to me that you have an arts background! You’ve only just begun this RUclips adventure, but you are well on your way to being an inspirational mentor to thousands.... For me, you have become the person to watch, and I’m so happy for your success! Congratulations! :)
I have to agree - I am sooo not a furniture refinisher, but my daughter is graduating from college and headed to Colorado for law school. We decided that we would buy really cheap Ethan Allen furniture on FB Marketplace and refinish it. TFG is the best you tuber we have watched so far... NOW we are purely watching for entertainment because her furniture transformations are true Cinderella stories.
First timer here - touched that you’re not showing your face. Feels like you’re saying this is not about me - it’s about what I’m sharing. Refreshing to see genuine humility these days.
Side eye🤣 You're so funny. I really appreciate the time you take to show and instruct without babbling through real time. Enjoyable to watch you work!!
I’m not really a fan of painted furniture either (old girl 😆) but I have learned to be ok with it when Angie does it because more often it is the best way to make the piece lovable for years to come!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I was the same way at first. I felt like I was ruining the age of the piece, but they turn out so nice and they actually can be reused when you change up your decor. So win win.
"Old girl" here. I'm a wood grain fan myself. However, I'm also a fan of Angie's work, and whatever she decides to use to finish out her work is fine by me. I trust her judgment exclusively. I've seen her apply paint in such a manner I'd never think of doing, because I'm not creative and knowledgeable like her, and her pieces always turn out extraordinary. As an "old girl," if I had a daughter, I'd wish for her to be as talented and nice as this young lady. So, "old guy" go with the paint and don't feel like you're going against any prior feelings you may have about refinishing.
I think Angie definitely respects the wood and if the quality is there she won’t paint. Laminate… well then paint is definitely an option. (old guy) The white wax is awesome.
Don’t worry, there is nothing wrong with your music and I don’t listen to it anyway.. I’m either listening to you or watching what you are doing. You are so good at this, you should have started your RUclips channel ages ago. I’m really enjoying all your up-cycling projects.
@@teresamcbeath2832 yes! Her videos transcends the music. Plus, the music is not loud. I like music, but not when it drowns out the dialogue. She does a great job!
Yeab I usually just listen to you not the music. But I really am inspired by the work you do and I'm currently trying my hand at up-cycling some side tables and a small office desk
I think it would be better for the viewer to have a few more seconds of the before and after side by side. I enjoy watching what you do. I’m sure you inspire many! Thank you for what you do.
I LOVE how this turned out! Your videos are great- the music, your voice over description of the steps, the camera angles, the transitions, everything. I know the many MANY hours of work that go into producing these videos, and yours are perfection.
Thank you so much for the recognition- you are soooo right. Every video I do takes me three times as long to do a piece of furniture because of moving the camera etc, and then it’s several hours on top of that between editing the footage, doing voiceover, uploading, etc. So much work- so thank you so much for this comment ❤️😊
I have an old chest, similar & have been wanting to paint it. Timing was perfect seeing your video. Wish it had the handles like yours. Yours looks fabulous!! You do beautiful work!!
My grandfather was an antiques' dealer and restorer in Old Havana. You have no idea how many memories you are bringing back for me. Even the smell of the varnishes and shellacs.
I watch a lot of furniture artists and there are not many where I like every piece they do but I have to say you are a rarity, I have loved every piece you have done so far. They are stunning and creative. Keep up the good work your channel will will continue to grow with content like this. The piece is beautiful.
Angie, you should not be surprised by your success on RUclips! Your work is beautiful, your selection of colors is spot on and your voice overs and music is pleasant. Thanks!
The music doesn't bother me at all. It's not blaring and I'm focused on the voiceover anyway. You're really engaging and funny. I love the way the legs and pulls turned out. They really stood out against the paint color. Beautiful.
Full disclosure this is the 3rd. video in a row of your I've watched in the past hour!! Super satisfying, relaxing, enjoyable, & I can appreciate upcycling & saving furniture from the dump. So many cool little tricks in repairing the pieces too. Sooooo FUNNY about the sander face, I totally see it now!! Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!

😳 Breaking your spine?? Oh I am so incredibly sorry that happened to you, I cannot imagine how awful that must be for you. I'm so glad I can inspire you! Best of luck with your pieces. ❤️
I am slowly working my way through your videos, and this piece is one of my favorites. You took a dresser that I felt was bland at best, and turned it into something that appears high-end and with an artistic touch. That dresser would be a show-stopper in any room! I so appreciate your attention to detail in your preparation. Nice job! Finally, I hear you apologize a lot (i.e. music, color choice, camera angle, etc.) You create videos that are tastefully and beautifully done. There’s a reason why your channel is growing quickly! Those that matter can see past these things, and are enjoying your talents. Thank you, as you bring something new and fresh to your craft!
In just a few of the videos I’ve watched of yours so far, I have learned an incredible amount about flipping furniture - you are so informative in such a humble and easy-going manner. You seem to effortlessly translate your craft for us viewers to understand easily, you are able to pack a wealth of info into each video that makes a novice like myself feel confident to try my hand on a couple of old pieces I have around my house. thanks for such a quality channel and for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us, your kind demeanor and passion for your craft is palpable in your uploads and I agree with other people’s comments on your voice being so soothing, it comes as no surprise to me that in such a short period of time you’ve gained such a large following, it is so well deserved! So excited for more content.
Wow, thank you so much! I’m glad you are enjoying these so far! It’s always hard for me as a quiet, sensitive person to put myself out there, but comments like these make it all worth it! ❤️
This laminate dresser is so chic and contemporary now! What a lovely transformation. I've yet to find a piece with anything remotely like those handles *swoon*! Beautuful job. Your music is fine & your vids are terrific; I always enjoy watching your channel. Thank you!
There’s something so striking and fresh about the handle/foot color of this price against the pained color. So pretty! I have a mid century Buffett that my step father has gifted me that I’d love to refinish but I’m so afraid of ruining it. 🤦🏾♀️
I’m really not a fan of mid century furniture, but what you do to these pieces makes them look so much more elegant, classy and certainly more appealing than they originally were. I love your right arm tattoo, it reminds me of an Alexander Henry design that I love ❤️

As long as the music is quiet and in the background it doesn't really matter what the music is. Much better than the videos where the talking is quiet and the music is loud! Love your work ❤
I wasn’t sure I’d like the light color handles and legs with the darker color, but they look really good - and I can’t imagine what might look better!! It looks Lovely!!!
I keep looking over my shoulders at my old mid century dresser and sewing machine table with the horrible paint and etc. you are tempting me. will keep watching. It may yet come to be
just so you know: you inspire more than furniture make-overs. i've got a reasonably hideous faux wood paneled wall. your videos on laminates have helped me figure out how, and get my courage up, to tackle this wall. thank you!
