I had it for 1€ when I bought the S1R The MF clutch failed 2 times Got repaired two times and failed again… Sold BUT in terms of optical quality it was impressive. I may have had a bad one and I’m not against trying a new one…
If I could I would have kept it as it is so marvelous. I didn’t compare with another 50mm at the same time, so I can’t tell you about its true focal length.
Hello my friend !!! Well seen !!! My new D3X is here 😊😊 I will try deeper the 58 but consider at least f/4 This lens is very special and needs to be trained to use it. It’s not the all rounder lens that you take with you everyday. Backlighted subject is not for it.
Nice ‘a revoir’ to your SL 1.4/50 lens, photos are great and no drought it is an excellent lens. 1.4/50 Summilux M mount is a great lens as well; let us know your thoughts of it and some nice picture of France. Take care Didier.
Thanks a lot! We say « au revoir »! 😊 it’s great you write in in French ! I will, for sure, speak about the M version in a coming video! Take care you too, Jan.
Excellent photos, especially those at night. You have inspired me!
Great to read this! It’s a pleasure if you found inspiration thanks to some of my pictures.
Do you own this lens?
Have a good day.
@@DidierMOULINPhotography yes. But in my hands it is like a Maserati being driven by an 80 year old man haha
@@davidlarson3419 same reason why I sold them all and went back to Nikon with great lens and hard work to do to improve myself.
Tours ? Ah yes lovely city! Super review merci beaucoup !
Yes lovely town but too small to be creative each time I go in.
Ever tried the lumix 50 1.4? Absolutely perfect lens!

Indeed, my most used lens.
I am using it as my only SL lens, it's awesome. Though I have the feeling, it is a little wider than 50mm.

How much do you have to stop down the 58mm f1.4 to loose the purple fringing? ps. Bonjour D3x. 😜
