OK, I'm a shade tree tech on automotive. Dodge I have never worked on and my best friend has begged me to look at his car. It's one of the first generation 2000s Chargers with the 5.7 motor. He said that he is overheating and having to refill the cars water supply even after it sits for a few moments.
So I popped the hood and added water. Yep, it's basically spraying where the water inlet to the motor is. On Chevy I would call it the thermostat bell housing. But this isn't that and it looks as of there is a bad gasket of a Crack under the aluminum where I can't really pinpoint it. But it is coming from there.
So I thought it was the intake and I came to this video and found out the intake is on top. So what's under the intake that could be causing this leak there? If you can help, I would be so thankful for it. Thank you so much.

Where would you look if you needed to find an entire engine to PCM harness for an 07 5.7 Hemi Charger?

The top part is not the intake it is the plenum. The part with the white gaskets on top is the intake.

Yep. Most intake replacements should just also include the plenum, especially on a 3800 engine

I have a 2013 Dodge Challenger 3.6l vvt V6 engine, and I have a code for “P0303”cylinder 3 misfire…. I’m sure it’s the intake gaskets, -already changed spark plugs and coils- but my question is, Can I jus change the upper intake manifold gaskets to fix the cylinder 3 misfire? Or do I HAVE to change the lower intake manifold gaskets as well?…. Even tho I have no leakage other than air.
