I liked the shihakosho that Ichigo got from this form. Tensa Zangetsu even if it's fake is more famous. But the thin katana still looked cool in battle
I hate the new Bankai. Genuinely my second least favourite Bankai in the series. The 5th anniversary Bankai from BBS is so much better. I would change it a little bit, but it’s still much more pleasing.
I mean, Byakuya was being smug and in denial that a Ryoka could use Bankai. Remember, Renjis Bankai was false, but Byakuya didn't say anything on it really.
I think Byakuya simply thought that Ichigo had a new shikai ability since he knows exactly that it’s impossible to squire bankai without cheating. Imagine you are one of 13 people that are considered the strongest of their class and you and your peers are at least 2-500 years old and you mastered everything there is to master. Then some schmuck comes up to you who you knew didn’t even even know the name of his own Zanpaktou a few months ago and now that very same dude appears and talks about having something you’ve worked your ass off to learn and master. I would be in denial too.
I've seen someone say when Old Man Zangestu said that only the real Zangestu can defeat him, he meant the final version of Ichigo's bankai that he used to kill Yhwach. I think that's pretty cool
@@nomad155 during bankai training old man zangetsu said that only the real zangetsu could defeat him out of all of the fakes that were present, and in the end, after finding out yhwach was old man zangetsu, yhwach was eventually finished off with "true" zangetsu
my personal headcannon is his quincy powers didn't know how to properly seal his bankai spiritual pressure into a sword like a shikai, so he just spawned 10,000 and hoped for the best. zangestu: AHA! that one didn't break! I me-*cough* **deep voice** Yessss Ichigo... That's the one...
I always theorize that since yhwach was defeated by prime yamma before. Deep down inside, he has a fear of zanka no tachi, so when ichigo asked for a bankai, the quincy soul that resided him formed the same image that remarked an image from yhwach as the symbol of what a bankai should be, forming tensa zangetsu's false form. Maybe not fear precisely but have been more cautious about it more than other bankai.
Even if this form was "false", I really liked the transformed Shihakusho & the extra waist cape that comes with it. Because that made Ichigo so iconic-looking, it's basically his brand at this point, & I really feel like this is the missing factor of Ichigo's "True Bankai" design.
True bankai is symbolic if u actually try to understand it his powers are internal now ppl miss the point that his true shikai is his actual zanpakuto u can’t expect something new to be like something old
@@GraveEnd I get the sentiment, however from a design standpoint I feel that it is important to to establish a design identity, and Kubo has established that Tensa Zangetsu's design identity is that it's a dominant black, thin sleeved, waist caped, & small-bladed Bankai, Kubo pushed this with every Bankai form that Ichigo had (Dangai form & FB Bankai form). And to take those aspects away would almost be like Kokujo Tengen Myo-o's true form isn't a giant samurai figure, or Soo Zabimaru removed the skull-tail & snake head skull, or Asta's union form removed it's pair of wings. My main criticism with Ichigo's "True Bankai" design is that every trace of his previous Bankai forms is almost nonexistent outside of the red/black hilt & the chain, and I feel that the change is too drastic. You CAN make a completely new form without dismissing it's previous forms, the 5th Anniversary BBS form & the 2019 BBS Quincy form is a good example of this, they looked completely different yet they still have traces of Ichigo's previous Bankai forms & paying respects to it (the slim sleeve, the waist cape, black accent, the whole package).

@@GraveEnd I guess that's a fair assessment. The "Ichigo doesn’t need to wear his power anymore it’s internalized" does indeed makes sense & is in line with the concept of "The Blade is Me", and it's the one aspect that I admittedly missed. And I also understood the concept of "having white and black combine not black overtaking everything the all black" in the blade for a while now, but at the time I didn't get why Kubo would do that at the expanse of it's original clad design (which now I do). I think I wasn't satisfied (if not disappointed) with Ichigo's True Bankai because we never see what it can actually do (due to it being destroyed by Yhwach the second it was activated). I hope Kubo can find some way for the Ichigo's True Bankai to be fully showcased in the upcoming Anime.

Off topic, but I noticed something interesting regarding Aizen and Tosen. Both were apparently defeated the moment they forsook their strongest trait. Tosen was killed when he became to reliant on sight, ignoring the other senses he had sharpened to compensate for his blindness. And Aizen was defeated when he became reliant on the hogyoku, disregarding his cunning
To be honest, I thought Byakuya was referring to Ichigo's Hollow as to why his was so odd. But then, with Ishin's statement saying it's the users control determines the size, and Ichigo has had, up to that point, no control over his power, I assumed it was White aiding Ichigo, because of his reluctant release of control
And it made since he was struggling with his bankai. He was too strong to the point that he couldn't even control himself. So basically he was crushed by his own power.
With his false shikai, he blocked a strike that was as powerful as "1000 zanpakuto". And he did it one-handed, behind his back. Ichigo has always been busted.
@@jakhimgordon1287 I mean didn't they explain it in the manga and zangetsu himself says that white is his actual bankai and the reason he never achieved true bankai is because they were never in sync and the other reason he takes over ichigos body when he is in danger is because his mother told white to protect ichigo any time his life is in danger
I like how the method Ichigo achieved his first bankai was invented by Urahara and then we learn later that Mayuri has forced his sword into Bankai with his experiments. "The great minds think alike", as they say.
It’s always interesting how the red outlines for the black getsuga were only in the old anime but now the manga accurate version with no outline will be featured in the new anime. Damn this look is still iconic as hell! Please do some videos about aizen’s hogyoku forms!
I've always been under the assumption that his "shikai" was basically the training sword that all normal initiates get and that his bankai was him just actually sealing all his power and doing so he was able to focus it rather than having it just exploding out everywhere.
It looks great, the color spread is fantastic and the fact that Kubo colored an entire chapter just for the reveal makes it so much better. Shame VIZ only have a grayscale version on their website
my first time seeing ichigos bankai form had me screaming cause of how cool looking it is and the black blade of tensa zangetsu, my 14 year old self had never been so excited in his life til then
I commend you for stating that it is an incomplete bankai, because I'm so sick of everyone discrediting Ichigo's first zanpakuto as a fake/false zanpakuto when it is really a true zanpakuto appearing in an incomplete form. Many statements of Ossan and Shirosaki throughout the series supports that THEY ARE ZANGETSU, which means each of them is a part of Zangetsu, the zanpakuto Ichigo has been using throughout the series, the old and new/reforged. In shikai form, it is true that to release shikai, the shinigami must understand and in sync with his zanpakuto. The first time Ichigo obtains this is in his first fight with Renji. Ichigo asked for so much strength that massive reiatsu was released by his zanpakuto enhancing his combat prowess. Perhaps he is supposed to attain Zangetsu's name at this moment but since he is relying on Rukia's powers he couldn't. It is further emphasized in his fight with Zaraki. In bankai form, a shinigami must obtain the part of his soul that is good for fighting, the very nature of their zanpakuto and materialize it. This is the same test that Ossan provided Ichigo in his training. The test could be in different form for every shinigami but the goal is the same. Now it wasn't explained during this training what part of Ichigo's soul it is. It is further revealed in Ichigo's training with the vizards. Shirosaki explains that he, Zangetsu refered to as cannot accept Ichigo as because Ichigo lacks the attributes to be the king of his soul/world. Flashbacks of Zaraki and Byakuya starts to appear in Ichigo's eyes reminding him the part of his soul that is good for fighting, it is his KILLER INSTINCT. Now remember when Ichigo has to master Final Getsugatenshou, Tensa Zangetsu Ossan explains that Shirosaki's form at that time is when Ichigo is unable to suppress or control his destructive impulses/killer instinct. Out of all this, the following are my assumptions: 1. Ichigo's first shikai form, comprises of Ichigo's pure shinigami powers, which is a part if Shirosaki. 2. Ichigo's first bankai form, comprises of Ichigo's shingami powers suppressing its hollow nature represented by his slim black sword, and Ossan/quincy power representing the change in his shihakusho. 3. The more Ichigo masters his shinigami powers, the stronger Shirosaki get against Ossan, especially in bankai. Shirosaki tries to possess Ichigo during bankai when Ichigo fails to use it properly, that is without his killer instinct, which is further improved with his hollow mask. 4. Shirosaki being the materialization of Ichigo's killer instinct proves he is Ichigo's true Zanpakuto, the true Zangetsu. 5. The complete form of Ichigo's first bankai is Vasto Lorde Ichigo. Ichigo's death allows Shirosaki full control over Ichigo's shinigami powers releasing most of his shinigami powers. 6. The new Zangetsu is the same as Ichigo's first Zangetsu. Its just in this new form, Ossan and Shirosaki is separated during the forging process.
I'd say its more of a resurreccion as it gives physical buffs and changes his appearance (like most res) aswell as his hollow side taking more control and I'd say "vasto lorde" Ichigo is the true res when old man zangetsu isn't holding ichigo's hollow/reaper spirit back just my opinion though feel free to disagree
It actually makes sense that his first bankai in its true form is Vasto Lorde and when suppress only the coat is release to empower his body and with the mask it takes over his mind (or at least it tries too on different release state)
I like the idea that his first complete Bankai is the vasto lorde form, since bankai is the materialization of the zanpakuto soul (I think). And since his first zanpakuto his hollow, ichigo having hollow like attributes in his bankai like the claws and feet and the mask would make a lot of sense
I always wonder how much the story would have changed and how powerful ichigo would have been if old man had not hidden the truth from ichigo and had helped him control his true power from the start. Like would he have made as much of a impact on the soul society in a positive way or would they have feared him and worked to seal him instead and would he be weaker or stronger then he is now as he would have never had to work so hard to gain power in the first place
The filler arc Zanpakuto rebellion does a lot to explain the nature of the Zanpakuto to go along with Oestu. I believe Zangestu allowed this version of himself to be unleashed to compensate for Ichigo. Much like Zabimaru gave Renji a modified Bankai version of itself. It's like they wanted to help but understood the limitations of their Shinigami. The power of a Zanpakuto can be overwhelming and could drive a Shinigami crazy if not properly managed
I think it's a bit of a stretch to say Byakuya noticed that his Bankai was sealed. When you say Bankai to the Captians they are thinking like Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō, Daiguren Hyōrinmaru, or Zanka no Tachi. Releases that are instantly recognizable power increases and new skills. So of course Byakuya is going to be like "That's it? You made your sword smaller and gave yourself a cool coat? That's not a real Bankai." Think it was more him looking down on a "peasant." Rather than Kubo slipping in foreshadowing for something 10+ yrs in the future.
I always kind of feel Ichigos Bankai was so short sighted from Kubos side of things. Sure, extreme speed looks cool fighting against Senbon Sakura but literally every other villain in the series instantly has to be able to keep up or be faster than Ichigos Bankai otherwise the fight would be over in seconds. It literally negates his Bankai for the entire series.
Actually that is the point. Both Ichigo and Renji acquired a bankai in a short-sighted attempt to defeat Byakuya. Renji had the acknowledgement of the Hihio but not the Orochio (when manifested, the baboon was consoling him but the snake was insulting him), while Ichigo jumpted to the Bankai train before he knew the first thing about his Zanpakuto or himself. Also, because of his lacking in his reatsu control he alternated between defeating Byakuya and losing to him. Kenpachi had the same problem too.
Ichigo was in High school, started fighting MONSTERS at 15 yrs old. I am a multi instrumentalist, I didn't master guitar, bass, drums within 2 years. Ichigo did ALL OF THIS at fifteen. Come on dude
Yeah. But that was kinda the point. OMZ let him have a fake Bankai to make him stronger, but it was just a weird reishi weapon to make ichigo feel better. By the arrancar arc everyone he fought was so much stronger and faster than his bankai, it was practically useless. he had to rely on his hollow mask more and more this was because 1) his hollow/shinigami powers together are his true power 2) it forced him to get closer to his hollow side
@@giovannigonzalez6349 Which is why he is saying it was short-sighted on Kubo's part. He gave it an ability that was slightly OP early on without thinking about how it would affect the series later on. So he ends up having to nerf it and basically make it useless.
Ichigo v Byakuya is one of my top 3 bleach fights Ichigo yelling bankai revealing the newly acquired form for the first time is one of my favorites moments in the series
I also think that the blade of false bankai of Ichigo was so durable and might be really hard that it can break other swords. Only my opinion after watching his fight with byakuya and gin.
The fact that we were told on our faces that this Bankai was fake at first watching, but we thought it was just Byakuya's pride and ego talking, and after seeing Ichigo beat him we just wrote it off as again, Byukuya's arrogance, oh how naive we were.
Idk y but da way u explain shit in ur videos so detailed I completely agree and believe everything I dnt even question the info lmao ur gud at convincing ppl 💯💪🏽
I just realize that ichigo is the gohan of shonen. Someone with extreme potential but never train to get stronger past the moment he was strong enough for the current evil. The only difference is ichigo friends keep sparing with him to keep him in shape will gohan got no one asking him to spar unless he really want to.
Shit...reading this now, you're not wrong. Personality wise they are blatantly different but both at their core are beasts who love to fight. Both suppress it but when they give in to it, hell is unleashed
Hey, I like your content. I was wondering if you could cover these characters in the future? Ganryu/Kokuto/Kusaka/Kira/Riruka/Tsukishima/Hisagi/Hiyori/Ikkaku and many more. I hope you see this!
I'm of the opinion that Ichigo is a Visored Quincy without a zanpakuto the entire time, and uses the Quincy technique to make his sword pretty much the entire series. He never had an asauchi so he legit went the entire show without using the shinigami portion of his powers. All his different transformations are his inner hollow giving him access to resurrecion boosts to substitute for the fact that he has no zanpakuto. Normally an arrancar gets a zanpakuto when they remove their mask, and a Visored already has a zanpakuto before hollowfying and getting a mask. Ichigo meets neither of those requirements, so old man zangetsu is more than likely using Quincy shenanigans to keep him from ever getting access to a zanpakuto at all. He straight admits to not wanting Ichigo to be a soul reaper. So Ichigo just calls stuff shikai and bankai cuz he doesn't know any better. It's often overlooked that his mother passed him both Quincy blood, and his inner hollow. The two powers are confirmed to be linked. Neither of them have anything to do with his shinigami powers from his father. So to call his inner hollow Zangetsu, is just as incorrect as calling inner yhwach zangetsu. Neither of them are his true Zanpakuto spirit. They are two sides of the power from his mother, Quincy and hollow. I believe there is a third Spirit inside Ichigo who he only finds after getting his asauchi and having the Quincy/hollow powers removed so they can no longer hold back true zangetsu. We didn't get to see it because he never went back to his inner world, but that would explain everything, and the idea of three powers harmonizing within Ichigo fits the themes. So as far as I'm concerned, the final fight with yhwach was the first time we saw his shikai and bankai
Huh wym calling his hollow zangetsu is wrong? It literally merged with his shinigami powers and became his zanpakuto, whats technically wrong is calling the old man zangetsu, given that the whole time he was copying the hollow powers (as stated by the old man himself during the reforge) to help ichigo throughout the story. Plus if there rlly was another 3rd spirit inside ichigo, he would've felt it being drained as well when yhwach took his powers, which didnt happen
@@kumamatsuri2836 so what you said is how the show presents it and expects us to understand it. My theory is based on other bits of lore and the internal logic that is presented for other characters with similar circumstances. I'll start with how the other Visards work. They have their regular zanpakuto spirit, and an additional hollow spirit inside of them. This is because they were shinigami before being hollowfied. You could argue that their spirit became hollowfied and they still only have one, but if that were true they would be unable to use hollowfication and shikai/bankai independently. Every time they used their zanpakuto, their mask would appear, and vice versa. It isn't stated outright, but you could also assume that all of the Quincy have a version of "old man zangetsu" in their inner world also since they all have a piece of yhwach's soul. It's also confirmed that the hollow White was attached to the Quincy powers that Ichigo inherited from his mother, because yhwach can only steal the powers of a Quincy. So the hollow powers were only taken because they were attached to the part of yhwach's soul that he took back. I realize the logic is that all three of the powers merged, but since the two spirits we see are Quincy and Hollow, I don't think he ever even awakened his zanpakuto spirit at all, and should still have had regular Shinigami powers after losing them. Without an asauchi, old man zangetsu would have had to use quincy reishi manipulation for Ichigo to create a sword at all, and worked together with White to boost Ichigo's power enough for him to survive. Which as I explained in my first post, is why Tensa Zangetsu is more accurately described as a ressurecion because of the way it boosts his power and doesn't have abilities like a normal Bankai does. The whole "constant release" thing with Ichigo's shikai is also a pretty big indication that he is using hollow and Quincy abilities to imitate Shinigami powers and just calling them shikai and bankai because he doesn't know any better. It's also worth noting that his outfit being confirmed to be a part of his bankai is super abnormal. We know from Nemaia (the literal creator of the Zanpakuto) that any damage to a bankai is permanent, (with a few rare exceptions) so the fact that his clothes repair themselves with no cost, drawback, or risk also breaks the rules of bankai. Don't even get me started on the fact that the damage to his outfit reflects how much reiatsu he has. Nemaia also made it very clear that there is a right way for reapers to do things, and a reason why it's important to do it that way. Lastly, just as a rhetorical question what would have happened if Isshin had a child with any other woman? The result would have been a normal shinigami with no hollow powers. How can White be his true Zanpakuto spirit when he is both attached to, and was inherited from a Quincy? In conclusion, by the series' own logic it's at least debatable that White is the true form of Zangetsu. If he is, then you could argue that any child of Masaki would have all three powers, even if the father wasn't a Shinigami. After all, the original hollow White that bit her was created from a Shinigami, so it's more likely that the Shinigami powers were inherited from him if the hollow became a true Zanpakuto spirit. If Ichigo had inherited his shinigami powers from Isshin, he would have a normal zanpakuto spirit in addition to the hollow and Quincy spirits just like the other Vizards. Especially since the spirits share a name (Zangetsu/Engetsu) which I'm not positive, but I'm fairly sure is because they come from one of the 4 Great Royal Families. So either there is a regular Zanpakuto spirit inside Ichigo that we never saw because of White and Yhwach suppressing it, and therefore neither of them are the true Zangetsu, or Ichigo inherited absolutely nothing from his Royal blooded Shinigami father, and any child Masaki had would have the exact same powers Ichigo has, regardless of the father. I'm inclined to believe the former, and think that neither of the two spirits we know are the true Zangetsu, and the real one is still locked away until he does things the right way with an asauchi. Then Zangetsu, White, and Yhwach will all be inside of him working together, and when he goes Bankai/Ressurecion/Leitz Stil, they all join together in harmony to become the true Tensa Zangetsu. And for completeness sake, I'll say Fulbring is the glue that holds it all together because it represents his own will to power, and allows these completely opposing powers to coexist within a single being in harmony lmaoooo XD
@@iamlordapollo White is Ichigo's Zanpakuto Spirit. You are really severely overcomplicating it. The original White fused with Ichigo's Zanpakuto Spirit & became Zangetsu. Zangetsu is the source of Ichigo's Shinigami & Hollow powers.
My head cannon is that zangetsu ISNT in a constant state of shikai release but instead it's just the normal shape of his sealed zanpakto with the guard and even the hilt missing due to it's extremely reduced state (kinda like it's not FINNISHED and is instead just the blade fresh out of the smithy) and that what he thinks is a Bankai is really his Shikai. After all, it acts alot more like a Shikai and his father can use Getsuga Tensho which implies that ISNT a special ability of his Zanpakto and instead just a form of Hado. This would mean that when reforged, the reason his 2 blades look like that is because that's what his sealed state IS and the combined blades are again is REAL Shikai and so WE HAVE YET TO SEE HIS REAL BANKAI! I know this sounds unreal but think about this- in order to draw out Bankai, you must summon your Zanpakto Spirit into the physical and get it to submit but Ichigo didn't do this. He summoned the manifestation of his inner Quincy! White is his true Zanpakto Spirit and White never fully submits. Therefore Tensa Zangetsu being an unusually short name for a Bankai makes sense because it's a normal name for a SHIKAI and sooner or later he will realize this and form a TRUE Bankai which will have a 3rd word added to the name, making it more in line with a normal Bankai name. So just to review: Zangetsu is sealed most of the time and not in its Shikai like we thought. The Getsuga Tensho is a Kido or Hado and not a Shikai ability. Tensa Zangetsu is his Shikai and not his Bankai. White is his Zanpakto Spirit. And finally his reforged Zanpakto has still only been seen in its sealed state (two blades) and its Shikia (combined blade).
I wonder how much different the story would if Ichigo's dad had just told his children everything from the start. Hey children by the your half Shinigami and half Quincy that why your able to see spirts. You might inherit both abilities side of your bloodlines or just one half. It time we start teach you on how control your spiritual energy.
Ichigo, Karin, & Yuzu would've been justifiably taken aback but accepted it in their own ways (yes, Ichigo understandably freaked out when Yhwach-getsu confirmed what Nimiya was true & how Zangetsu [Ichigo's Shinigami-Hollow manifestation] helped Ichigo from the very beginning but he still accepted the truth of everything and still deemed both manifestations as Zangetsu equally) yet it's understandable why Isshin didn't say anything (Ichigo didn't learn the truth about his heritage until he was 18) since Isshin Shiba-Kurosaki wanted his kids to live as ordinary humans as a way to honor Masaki's wishes- Isshin did tell Ichigo how he wanted him to live, grow old, and die with a smile on his face.
@@AngelKnightZeo713 I just sick of this kind of writing. I think it be more fun if children where able to chose if they want to train there own birthright power or just try to live a normal life. Ichigo only found out about his powers because he the Main Character Cliché.
It would be great if you would like, I dunno, link the relevant other videos you mentioned that cover the other forms. So people don't have to comb through all your uploads to find them. Just a thought.
I personally think that Ichigos false Bankai is more of a resurrection then a bankai. Ginjo explains the details about his "bankai" in CFYOW and says that he called it Bankai b/c he didn't know any better. Ichigo is in the same boat. Since Ichigo didn't have an Asauchi (spelling=/ ) he couldn't have gained shikai/bankai properly. Ichigo's true Bankai looks like that of his old "shikai". Ichigo's appearance in soul society is just the manifestation of his soul reaper powers and his fake bankai mimics a resurrection. The reason I believe highly in this theory is b/c Oh-etsu said there's a set way to do things and ichigo never followed and could not even be granted the name of soul reaper. I believe Ichigo mainly used hollow powers in the series due to the lack of an Asauchi, as well as Ulq, Ginjo, and oh etsu commenting on how hollow like/not soul reaper like Ichigo was. I hope this makes sense since I'm bad w/ explaining things =/
OK HOT TAKE, his bankai is Supposed to be 2 swords and the chains are supposed to connect to himself and extend out to infinity. imagine Him using the spin moves that Hollow ichigo uses but with Chains instead of the strands, and with 2 swords at once. he could even use the chains for defense wrapping them around his arms to block attacks, ext.
Wait wait wait...... An avg captain (continent-planetary lvl) can hold bankai for 12-15hrs as unohana(multi planetary - solar system lvl) did explained she can hold bankai for 2-3 days and we know she ain't a avg captain she is far greater than that . Even if false tensa zangetsu makes use of spirit energy really low still it's a bankai , it must cost quite much of spirit energy. Ichigo can hold his false bankai for 3 months like WTF and this was only a fraction of his full potential soo JUST HOW MUCH SPIRIT ENERGY DOES THIS MAN HAS 😭 . Can he just go around launching ceros destroying planets and solar systems 💀
man's too busted and the fact that he is the perfect hybrid opens up to almost infinite possibilities, learning Resurrecion, some Quincy abilities, Kido etc, well that's if he wants to lol
Where are you getting these planetary- solar system calcs? The only ones in the series who has any type of cosmic level scaling is Soul King, Ywach and maybe Yamamoto depending on interpretation.
@@giovan483 I mean Yamamoto literally has a mini sun as his bankai . 15 million degrees bruh that's the core of our sun . That imo puts him above star lvl maybe solar system lvl . Zaraki destroyed a universe that gremy made in his shikai alone . Ichigo , aizen , yhwach and soul king are way stronger than zaraki . I'm not saying zaraki is uni or something it's just that these feats are actually present in the manga I'm not making it up . I'm not a professional scaler tho I maybe wrong
If ichigo achieved his true shikai and bankai in the soul society arc, aizen arc and Espada would have not happent, ichigo would have clapped everyone too hard
ichigo would have died if he used it, his body was way too weak before tybw. Even using it against byakuya his crushing his bones under the wight of powers cause he can't control it, full bring training is why he can use his true power and he needed the training frmo squad 0 to use his bankai without killing him.
Imagine if the vacuum cleaner was destroyed when ichigo was going towards the soul society to defeat byakuya and he would train in there for like a year
I'll never forget the 1st time Ichigo went Bankai in the manga because the entire chapter was in color, that chapter is the only chapter 162 "Black Moon Rising" in BLEACH to be fully colored for some reason (apart from the 4-koma in Bootleg KaraBuri+.) Also, Bleach 162 and Naruto 700 are the only chapters of the Big 3 to be fully colored before the JC digital colored versions, I think.

His bankai was a result of his Quincy powers. He never had a sword to put his pressure into. Uryu said he was like a Quincy and grimmjaw said he was like a arrancar. Ichigo was unintentionally absorbing retsei and evolving his fake bankai. His bankai is a fusion of the Quincy ability and resurrection with bankai. I think his bankai can change base on his will. I can't get enough of Bleach and Ichigo I just love it all forever, Too me it will take a long time before I find any other Anime thats better then Bleach.
I think the explanation of Ichigo bankai being a compression of his reiatsu is a bogus misinterpretation by Byakuya. The real reason Ichigo bankai is relatively small is due to his hollow powers, making his bankai closer to a hollow's resurreccion and quincy's natural tendency to clad themselves with their power, something we saw with Letz Still and Vollstanding. Also, the real reason Ichigo is ridiculously fast in bankai is because he combines sonído with hirenkyaku, something shown to be possible by Hikone Ubuginu and done instinctively by Ichigo. Were Ichigo to train his powers, I think he could possibly combine Blut vene with Hierro, making him nearly indestructible.
I really don't like the term false bankai. Zanpakuto are simply manifestation of their soul and even of its only a part of it, it was a legit bankai. Heck even Zanpakuto shouldn't define an individual whole power. You got stuff like kido, fullbring and all that stuff, this is especially true for Ichigo. His first bankai was a legit bankai. What's "false" was his shinigami status because he never truly is
what if that's Actually his shikai? And his base sword that we thought was his shikai is the sealed form hints why in the new hell arc his sword is in shikai againx
I think Kubo answered that in the new chapter it's his Shikai. Since the Blade Is Me chapter exists, Ichigo is kinda one with his Blade. So he can change the appearance of the Shikai atleast at will. Maybe he likes the kitchen knife version batter and easy to handle than the dual sword lol
I'd say its more of a resurreccion as it gives physical buffs and changes his appearance aswell as his hollow side taking more control and I'd say "vasto lorde" Ichigo is the true res when old man zangetsu isn't holding ichigo's hollow/reaper spirit back just my opinion though feel free to disagree
Back in the day when i heave first seen this bankai release the words epic and hyped are too small you can call it a great time to be alive in the anime world and i can't wait for the release of the last ARC and a possible future after that for the NR 1.
@@CelVini Just because you can't come up with a better name, doesn't mean you should use an erroneous one. "False" bankai doesn't make any sense because White Zangetsu was still the origin of that form. Ichigo's quincy power had nothing to do with it. This is why Old Man Zangetsu told Ichigo that every time he needed to Ichigo how to use his zanpakuto, he had to use White in order to do so, and why White Zangetsu was always the one to save Ichigo when he was at risk of dying. None of the pre-reforged abilities of Ichigo's zanpakuto came from Old Man Zangetsu. The only role that Old Man Zangetsu play up until the dual-shikai was created was buffing Ichigo's spirit body and preventing serious wound from bleeding out, aside from the fact that he suppressed the lionshare of Ichigo's shinigami/hollow power.

Holy crap!! I just now realized that Byakuya accidentally foreshadowed THIS Bankai not being the real one
I mean, Byakuya was being smug and in denial that a Ryoka could use Bankai. Remember, Renjis Bankai was false, but Byakuya didn't say anything on it really.
@@UnifiedEntity I think that's because not even Renji knew his Bankai was incomplete
I think Byakuya simply thought that Ichigo had a new shikai ability since he knows exactly that it’s impossible to squire bankai without cheating. zangestu: AHA! that one didn't break!

And Aizen was defeated when he became reliant on the hogyoku, disregarding his cunning
They were so intoxicated by their new power they completely ignored their typical abilities and methods they use

So basically he was crushed by his own power.

my first time seeing ichigos bankai form had me screaming cause of how cool looking it is and the black blade of tensa zangetsu, my 14 year old self had never been so excited in his life til then
I commend you for stating that it is an incomplete bankai, because I'm so sick of everyone discrediting Ichigo's first zanpakuto as a fake/false zanpakuto when it is really a true zanpakuto appearing in an incomplete form.
Out of all this, the following are my assumptions:
I'd say its more of a resurreccion as it gives physical buffs and changes his appearance (like most res) aswell as his hollow side taking more control and I'd say "vasto lorde" Ichigo is the true res when old man zangetsu isn't holding ichigo's hollow/reaper spirit back

Even though it was a false Bankai this was the series of episodes that made me invest alot into BLEACH. Thank you for another video DBZimran.

Byakuya saying its not a bankai and then ichigo just be like "im built diff my guy"
I like how Kubo used the anime trope of the villain saying “you’re power is pathetic” but turns it around to be more than mere mockery
So far I prefer the false bankai over the true bankai .
I am a multi instrumentalist, I didn't master guitar, bass,drums within 2 years.

Even if it's false or fake bankai it is still my best ichigo form tbh
Ichigo was just built different and Urahara just knew better.
My God I forgot how many forms that Ichigo has in the series, but all and all the Bankai blue my mind out of the water.
Your comment has me thinking. If "Tensa-Zangetsu" is the name of his shikai i wonder what the name of his bankai would be.
Ichigo was training with the final boss the entire time
0u forgot Reji, he also attained bankai this way and bit quicker than ichigo or urahara
Renji took more than 10 years lol
I liked Ichigos fist Bankai the most of all and wished they would have kept it.
@@Chief-Remeldian-Olympus Fair point.
Well had Ichigo trained with the Zangetsu(s) he probably could've learned more things such as his resurrecion
It would be great if you would like, I dunno, link the relevant other videos you mentioned that cover the other forms. So people don't have to comb through all your uploads to find them. Just a thought.
I prefer this form over his true bankai, it just looks cooler
Fair point.
I love your videos!! Keep up the Great Work!!! 🥰
Just like Tengen Uzui from demon slayer.
Dood thank you makeing all the they really explain alot my younger year's alone of drinking and not remembering lol
This is my favorite of his forms, mostly because I love his coat with the Ragged edge and red lining.
@@christiandelacruz6619 fr mf is the perfect candidate for soul king too 💀
Where are you getting these planetary- solar system calcs? The only ones in the series who has any type of cosmic level scaling is Soul King, Ywach and maybe Yamamoto depending on interpretation.
i dont know about that last statement.
BUT i keep telling my friend Real full power potential ichigo bodies naruto at his full 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Wow this is crazy I didn't realize this happened
It's cool in every way, and after the fallbring arc,it even looks cooler
Byakuya: that's not bankai...
then later gets his ass handed to him LOL
If ichigo achieved his true shikai and bankai in the soul society arc, aizen arc and Espada would have not happent, ichigo would have clapped everyone too hard
ichigo would have died if he used it, his body was way too weak before tybw. Even using it against byakuya his crushing his bones under the wight of powers cause he can't control it, full bring training is why he can use his true power and he needed the training frmo squad 0 to use his bankai without killing him.
I never even thought about the fact that Ichigo was in bankai for so long. 3 months lmfao...
This false bankai gave me the same feeling as when I saw goku go super sayajin for the first time.
Bloodlines: Champions of Lithis is actually the only mobile game that I actually play and it's a ton of fun.
this is my favourite form of ichigo because of the drip
It's like a manifestation of yhawch swinging a katana. With that being said, i wonder how mugetsu would look like since he knows his true heritage
Probably my favorite mc. Out all animes that i watched . The whole arc whas super fun the first time i read it and watched it. All off his forms all awesome.
I would have liked this form to become Ichigo's true Shikai. It would have fit better being revealed as such
I Iike duel wield more tho
@@ikuzo5847 He most often wielded it one-handed, so that wouldn't have been in the way of Ichigo's true Shikai being his old false bankai but with the option of duel wielding
@@ikuzo5847 duel wield is cool, but imagine how badass would be Ichigo True Bankai being his true Shikai, and the Bankai being two swords, one pure black like the old one, and one pure white with a hollow like handle guard, plus a new badass cloak
The other ability of Ichigo's Bankai is being able to fire a Getsuga without swinging his sword.
Very Quincy 👍 like to add to your point.
@@AJ-kt5zo No?

His bankai was a result of his Quincy powers.
He never had a sword to put his pressure into. Uryu said he was like a Quincy and grimmjaw said he was like a arrancar. Ichigo was unintentionally absorbing retsei and evolving his fake bankai.
His bankai is a fusion of the Quincy ability and resurrection with bankai.
I think his bankai can change base on his will. He sword was broken at the end and he returned to his fake zanpakto.

It’s actually kenpachi who achieved bankai the fastest. Literally no training needed (although clearly not mastered)
And yet no direct call out to the epic "BANKAI!" cry before he transforms. Definitely something that always had impact every time you heard it in the Japanese version. I never watched the English dub but I have heard the bankai from the English dub; dude just can't replicate it!
Someone I'm sure: Man all Dragon ball is now is making the main character stronger by giving him a new form
Ichigo: Sweats nervously.
I love of this bankai it’s the best. The Black cloak and black Sword.
How a fake zanpakuto spirit help him attain bankai? yeah it's not true bankai, but which portion of power was ichigo utilizing in his bankai form ?
This is the shikai of his shinigami form and mugetsu is the bankai
No
I can't get enough of Bleach and Ichigo I just love it all forever, Too me it will take a long time before I find any other Anime thats better then Bleach.
I just thought of this after watching the video, but his bankai acts more like the Arrancar's release.
Is that shrek 1:40
I really don't like the term false bankai. Zanpakuto are simply manifestation of their soul and even of its only a part of it, it was a legit bankai. Heck even Zanpakuto shouldn't define an individual whole power. You got stuff like kido, fullbring and all that stuff, this is especially true for Ichigo. His first bankai was a legit bankai. What's "false" was his shinigami status because he never truly is
The GOAT
what if ichigos bankai was supposedly the release of his zampakuto.
what if that's Actually his shikai? And his base sword that we thought was his shikai is the sealed form hints why in the new hell arc his sword is in shikai againx
Nope
I think Kubo answered that in the new chapter it's his Shikai. Since the Blade Is Me chapter exists, Ichigo is kinda one with his Blade. So he can change the appearance of the Shikai atleast at will. Maybe he likes the kitchen knife version batter and easy to handle than the dual sword lol
@@chasinghaze0962 True but I 💘 his true dual Shikai though. But I also 👀 see your point though.
Ichigo bankai has the least amp. He just gets faster.
The true zangetsu is the white ichigo.. when the white ichigo said "I AM ZANGETSU"
even that false bankai look cool as f
I'd say its more of a resurreccion as it gives physical buffs and changes his appearance aswell as his hollow side taking more control and I'd say "vasto lorde" Ichigo is the true res when old man zangetsu isn't holding ichigo's hollow/reaper spirit back
just my opinion though feel free to disagree
I love this Bankai!
Back in the day when i heave first seen this bankai release the words epic and hyped are too small you can call it a great time to be alive in the anime world and i can't wait for the release of the last ARC and a possible future after that for the NR 1.
It's weird, Fake Bankai looks better than True Bankai
Because it's not fake. He's just parroting reddit theories.
@@shonenjumper93039 then what would you call it? Pre upgrade Bankai?😂
In fact, self that true Bankai is not even the fully developed version of Yamato own
