- Ichigo Kurosaki’s TRUE BANKAI is revealed during the Thousand Year Blood War arc of BLEACH. In this video I want to focus on explaining what the secret ability of his true bankai is. How was Ichigo able to defeat Yhwach, and why was he so afraid of his TRUE BANKAI.

Another scene that adds to the idea that Ichigo has the power to shatter fate, is during his training with Old Man Zangetsu in the Soul Society arc.
While Ichigo is looking for the right sword, the manifestation of his Quincy powers, tells him that the sword he is looking for is the only blade that can defeat him.
So even as that early in the story, there were hints of what Ichigo’s true power was and how it would be the key to defeating the Quincy King. Really great foreshadowing by Kubo!

I disagree with this cus in the context of the situation it makes sense why he is told he needs a specific one in his bankai training he had to find the real zangetsu amongst a bunch of fakes to complete the training so “zangetsu” was prolly referring to that

he kinda get short end of the stick in the manga about his power, down right lame even. i was hoping he get the 5th Anniversary Version from Bleach Brave Soul, its way cooler and make more sense now that he combine all his power, Sangetsu, Hollow, Fullbring. Yhwach taunting him ''your Bankai, your peak of power, is this all you got?'' Ichigo go ''nah, im only using half my strength'' Yhwach laugh ''seize your bluff Ichigo, you were fighting me with half your strength all this time? KNOWN YOUR PLACE KUROSAKI ICHIGO!!!'' enrage and charging at him. ichigo : *''Resurrección...''* same outfit but his entire body is Vasto Lorde. I think his power is to overcome fate itself. Fate is a lingering theme surrounding Ichigo throughout the series and given Ichigos bloodline I would not be surprised if his ability was something that broken. But, it is truly him, a kid going from being powerless to receiving power to protect others is a complete change in fate.

I think a lot can be derived from the name of Ichigo's Zanpaktou and his technique.
Tensa Zangetsu
Tensa: Heavenly Chain
Zangetsu: Slaying Moon
Could mean Moon Slaying Heavenly Chain. I think this can be interpreted as a blade that can break the Chains of Heaven, AKA, "Predetermined Fate." It also sounds like a name given to a blade that has the ability to slay gods.
Getsuga Tenshou
Getsuga: Moon Fang
Tenshō: Ten meaning Heavenly and Shō meaning victory, win, prevail, excel.
So Heavenly Victory Moon Fang. Could be interpreted as a the fangs that can reach the heavens and prevail. Byakuya also recited the Baboon and the Moon parable back in season one, where he made the statement against Renji that his fangs would never reach him as Byakuya is like the unreachable moon to Renji. He says this to state how foolish it is for Renji to try to fight him. However, after his battle with Renji, he announces that perhaps his fangs were able to reach him. Yet in his battle against Ichigo, he fights against Ichigo who possess an ability that is literally named "fang" and Ichigo was able to prevail against the odds. The forshadowing of Ichigo's true ability has been hinted by Kubo for a long time.
Bruh he literally asks for a blade that can break fate when he first gets it so yea. Aizen shatters reality and Ichigo breaks fate.
In a sense with Ichigo having a true bankai reality it kind of creates a similarity between him and Zaraki with how he eventually also comes to fully connect with his Zanpakto after training with Unohana
at the end of soul society arc Zaraki remarked that he and ichigo are a lot a like...their swords has more than one entities, for instance the face of the other entity always shows up in their reiatsu release, ichigo his hollow mask, kenpachi a skull

thanks for helping me understand that Bleach isn't "just" about Ichigo gaining new powers every other arc but about the evolution of those powers and how they relate to his character. it's given me a new appreciation for the whole series.

His complex power is fitting for a savior of Ichigo's calibre. Him using his abilities to save the worlds are his most important and successful role, in the end Ichigo is not so much saving Soul Society as he is his home and livelihood from the blind ambitions of others who have let their powers go to their heads in the worst ways.

I think the best way to show it's true power is to have the fight as a "What If Vision" cutscene so the veiwers can see what he saw when he finds out how dangerous Ichigo is.

Hopefully we get a scene where we can see the full power of his bankai through the perspective of yhwach viewing the possible futures. Like how in infinity war Dr strange saw all the outcomes but in this case actually show the outcomes if that makes any sense. Here’s hoping 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Ichigo and Orihime, as husband and wife, having complimentary powers regarding fate, would be just perfect! 🥰 I can't help but believe your theory about his abilities and your reasoning behind it.
It's not speculation at this point because after rereading the dialogue between Ywach and Ichigo it was pretty much confirmed by Ywach himself that Ichigo's power is the power to shatter fate or to be more specific, Ywach says something along the lines of "My Almighty allows me to sift through countless futures like grains of sand and apply whichever I see fit while your Bankai allows you to alter the current grain which you occupy"...It's not word for word but basically Ywach was telling Ichigo that The Almighty allows him to pick and choose any future that he pleases while Ichigo's Bankai is capable of changing whatever reality he currently exists in, so it's kind of similar to The Almighty its just that Ywach can actively choose whichever future he pleases while Ichigo can only alter whichever future/reality he exists in. It's no wonder that Ywach was not taking any chances against it and broke it in the future but he still ended up losing which makes me think that its possible that Ywach may have lost the fight the moment he allowed Ichigo to activate his Bankai and even his Bankai being broken and then later repaired by Orihime and Tsukishima was an effect of Ichigo's Bankai being activated prior to Ywach breaking it, you know, since fate was literally altered because he was in an impossible-to-win situation, yet just the right people came along at just the right time to provide him with the power to defeat Ywach. In summary, Ichigo's Bankai is literally the power of plot armor and I love it
The anime can finally expand the big deal with Ichigo's Bankai. So there'll be more to come.
I don’t think they will we might see some great animation from it but we will be left in the dark about the true bankai based on how fast the anime is going
I think it’s just an obscenely powerful Zangetsu because Getsuga has enormous potential alone since Ichigo has Quincy power and Hollow power mixed into his Soul Reaper powers. And he only just started getting creative with it. A blade able to wield all those powers together would produce a frightening Bankai indeed. The idea that his Bankai can shatter fate is cool; but to make it less metaphorical, he just has a blade so powerful, it can overcome anything that would stand in his way.
The manga show us how far raw strength can take someone against Yhwach, it's not enough to keep him dead and doesn't justify his fear reaction so it has to be something else. My theory is that "fate" will be revealed to be the Soul King's power that envelopes the worlds and Ichigo's Bankai has the power to negate everything that comes from it, including the Almighty and that's why Yhwach was so afraid, because it was the only Bankai that could kill him and make it impossible for him to come back to life after (also why he took Ichigo's hollow and quincy powers, to make sure that even if he managed to fix the blade he wouldn't be able to activate the ability)

Something I thought of, fanfic basically. When Toshiro and Byakuya perform their last attack on Gerald. This is when Isshin shows up to help out with Tsukishima, asking if they need help and maybe have some small talk with Toshiro. This is where Isshin uses his bankai, for his bankai abilities could be where he summons a orb behind him in which it sends out a area of effect in which allies that are in the area given invulnerability, unlimited stamina and a increase of power to defeat any enemy that are in the area. While enemies that are in the area the opposite happens, they get weaker, less and less stamina and their power decreases. And whenever the enemy powers up, all that power gets transferred to the allies. I would think Isshin has a support bankai since he is a Shiba. But after he summons his bankai, all of the captains that are in the area of effect get a affected as well. And then they all use bankais on Gerad and this is where Isshin tells them that need to immobilize him so that Tsukishima can he use book of the end ability. After they immobilized Gerald, Tsukishima uses his ability where Gerald never gained the miracle. And boom they’re finally able to kill Gerald. (Instead of a orb, it could be a Buddha statue instead)
Kubo did explained about his bankai being the way it is on his Club Outside from a fan. This is also a better deep dive into his bankai that I didn’t know about. Zim, keep up the great work on Bleach content & feeding these Bleach streets. Anime of the year by far!!!!!

I hope the anime actually shows these futures that Yhwach saw regarding Ichigo's bankai before he breaks it. It's a good idea for a few reasons.
1. we get to see what the Bankai can do at its full capabilities. Yhwach dying in these timeliness can even act as a nice fake-out
2. we can maybe see how Yhwach experiences the almighty
3. It will still keep the plot point of Ichigo's bankai being broken but with just more context

This type of scene will show us the Ichigo's Bankai powers where Yhwach is defeated and how Yhwach Almighty power

I think his true bankai has something to do with becoming a vastolord quincy fullbringer soulreaper. YH would be scared of a completely balanced hybrid and the swords as hinted in shikai control his soul reaper, quincy and hollow powers

When i first saw his dual zampaktos I thought Ichigo would join the hilt of both zampaktos and turned them into bow which would really compliment his Quincy powers

@@purnasthakumari198 Ichigo has 0 archery training. Your Zanpakuto abilities take the form of a weapon that you’re most naturally inclined to be proficient with in *most* circumstances. Soi Fon being the only exception, but even then she’s proficient with it, she just doesn’t like using it

Kinda brilliant that Yhwach mistakes his vision for a bad dream because "Ichigo doesn't even have that sword any more" only for it to be hidden inside his new sword, or possibly even be recreated on the spot by Ichigo's new powers.

If you guys had to fix the ending of bleach, how would you do it, I would like kubo to add in more in the final battle, after that, then a graduation arc for ichigo his friends and classmates, then a little romance(not to much), between ichigo and orihime, they get married and thus kazui is born
I wouldn't change it per say but I would flesh it out a bit more, a lot of people want a complete 180 of an ending and that is not doable, but I think the source material could be fluffed up a bit so the ending doesn't feel as rushed.
i legit wanna see ichigos bankai to be actually used + in general the Zero squad to put up some sort of an actual fight :D

something I find interesting about his bankai returning to his og shikai is that it can represent his quincy/yhwach powers rejecting fate and striking down Yhwach and choosing Ichigo
It ties together with one of the very first things we see in the first chapter/episode. In english it says "thus the blade is swung down" but in portuguese is "e assim caiu a espada do destino" wich means "and so fell the sword of fate". I'm curious to know the correct translation of the original manga.
I've seen so many theories about ichigo's zanpakuto and it's bankai, but out of all of them i think 2 are the best theories... The first beeing that just like there are fire and ice TYPE zanpakutos, ichigos is a "Hollow" type zanpakuto allowing him to use hollow abilities and the second theory beeing yours about his bankai...
what they could do in the anime is showing us all the future moments where yuha gets defeated by that bankai, similar to a flashback
I'm really hoping we'll see Ichigo converse with Hollow Ichigo one last time when he gets his final form. I especially felt like that was one of the things, that the rushed ending was missing (cause of obvious reasons). Like him and White finally making peace and Ichigo accepting himself.

Its just a theory rn but it makes sense he would manifest his visord in a different way after his training with the fullbringers he now has better control over hollow se tho he still needed to use yhwach’s se to draw it out thats prolly why it was only one side too but to explain its looks ichigo is the only visord we seen with a vasto lorde hallow in him well there was one other young ywhach mixed with white in the dangai training it looked almost the exact same the one horn, i think it was on the same side too (left side of his face) its just there was a small circle of helmet at the base of the horn and i think they got whites long hair too

i went back and reread the chapters and am now like 99% sure its visord he said he wants to wake someone up by drenching them in reiatsu and he says that he been doing that same thing to wake him up every time just in a diffrent way(blasting his face with the se ) this time he just used yhwach's energy to do it also it doesn't seem like it matters wether its with hollow or quincy reiatsu as before ichigo would use his hallow reiatsu to do it and he is using the technique the visords taught him so they would most likely be doing the same thing i think he just needs to be drenched in it to wake up im not sure why ichigo had to use yhwach's tho he could just not have enough energy to wake him up tho he had the energy to one shot yhwach (bankai) so he should be capable it could be a lack of control cus he activated it in a new way

The only problem with his new Bankai is the inconsistency of the design. The original transformation slims down the blade, which Byakuya initially found underwhelming from what I remember, cause Bankai's usually make the blades bigger and more impressive looking, but he also received a long overcoat which later turns out to be representative of the bottomless reishi reserve that he receives in this form. So, it's not just the blade, but his entire body is the Bankai! But with the new Tensa Zangetsu, the blade is now bigger but Ichigo no longer gets a fashion upgrade! So where is his Reishi reserve? Is it all stored on the blade now? Perhaps the same way he can switch between the original cleaver or dual blade in Shikai form, he can also alter between his classic slim Tensa with the coat for speed and endurance, and the new big boy Tensa for godly destruction power.
i think the reason why ichigo's fake bankai before looks like the outfit of the old man zangetsu is to make ichigo believed that he unlocked/achieved his bankai. remember when rukia achieved her bankai she looks exactly as her zanpaktou spirit that even her skin turned white. i think ichigo will never get his old man zangetsu outfit because old man is his quincy power, unless ichigo has a voll standig and has a more stylish and upgraded old man zangetsu look when he activates it.
My take on this is that Ichigo doesn't have a bankai. Even the true bankai is not a bankai that the Shinigami understands. Its more of a fusion and the true power of his Quincy and Shinigami, a new type.
@@mikealvas Yeah, this makes the most sense. Kubo's explanation that his shikai could either be two swords or the original cleaver isn't entirely satisfactory either. Zanpakutos dont work like that. That could very well be a Full-bring power like his unique Shinigami attire, or the result of a combined Shinigami and Quincy power up, and the True Bankai state is simply that on full throttle, and with all the other powers piled on top of that.
If you think about it, the closest thing Ichigo has to a real Bankai is probably his Horn of Salvation. If his Shinigami powers are really based on hollow powers, it makes the most sense for his native Shinigami transformation to be more like a Ressureccion rather than a proper Bankai.

Great analysis - my only counter thought to it, is based on the notion that Ichigo's Bankai breaks fate - well, Ywach likely saw the reality as HIM beating Ichigo - buuuut, if the bankai breaks or shatters fate, then regardless of what Ywach has seen or anticipated, it would be immediately nullified or irrelevant. Ywach saw Ichigo's fate and was certain his victory was at hand - Ichigo's power, shattering fate, one ups whatever it is Ywach was seeing. Hope that made sense...
I agree and guessed that would be the ultimate outcome when they started speaking of reforging in the manga. While my thoughts were not as fully backed up my references like yours; thematically, it's what fits. It made sense given all the disparate pieces of Ichigo would eventually come together and given the story up until then what else could it be but to defy fate. The almost near deaths only to come back stronger and defeat those enemies, returning from death with Orihime's help, and how each time each new form gave him exactly what he needed to break that next ceiling. I'm hoping some parts get more explanation in the anime like the little snippets we've gotten with Uryu. Very nice breakdown.
I hope in the bleach TYBW anime kubo will make Ichigo true Bankai just like he make the original gotai 13

It's also been implied that the hoguigoku was partly responsible for Ichigo's friends getting power due to their proximity to rukia and thus the hoguigoku (in addition to their proximity to ichigo).

but firstly Urahara theory was they got those abilities due to ichigo presence, latter there was Aizen speculation that it was hoguigoku, however later it was clearly stated it is fullbring with clear explanation how it is created and how it works

I mean. I think since Ywach resides inside ichigo, it's safe to say he could possibly have the some of his powers.
Eitherway I think it's the arrow that caused this. The arrow nullified all of yhwach's power, the white could be the quincy powers that was Yhwach, which dissolves with yhwach's power, dissolving as well.
I only say this because there's no other indication that this should happen. It happens after the arrow.
I hope they animate the futures Yuha saw and then animate him breaking Ichigo's bankai.
I imagine the time Hollow Ichigo called the sword to his hand was likely one of the abilities Ichigo has yet to learn.
I have come up with a theory that "fate" is just the Soul King's power that envelopes the worlds and Ichigo's Bankai, because it has all the three race's powers, is able to negate it and everything that comes from it so it would just nullify the Almighty and keep Yhwach from reviving himself after being killed, that's what makes him so fearful since a HoS Ichigo plus the 10x multiplier from the Bankai would make him more than capable of taking Yhwach on and kill him for good.
As a complementary theory, I think Ichigo's final blow was dealt the way Kubo wanted but since he had to rush the ending he didn't had the time to develop the battle and had to use Ishida and the Silver Arrow to get to the point he wanted. That's important because it doesn't matter how much the fight is changed in the anime, it HAS to end with Ichigo's Bankai shattering and revealing the og Shikai, so what would be the explanation behind it? Putting the speculation of how the battle should happen aside, I think this time Ichigo will activate his Bankai's ability at the end and that's what nullifies Yhwach's powers not the arrow and the activation IS the breaking of the outer layer of Zangetsu, Kubo himself said (and it is in the video Zim mentioned) that the Zanpakuto is made of blade and scabbard and that Zangetsu's outer layer is the later, so it breaking is like the blade being pulled out of it's sheath and it's how the power is released. Ichigo, of course, absorbs the fragments after the release and then has to wait for the outer layer to regenerate itself before being able to use it again, giving a limitation to what's the most broken power in the series
Kind of like the Imagine Breaker in A Certain Magical Index/Scientific Railgun series. In a world where there are practitioners of magic and otherwise normal people who can train to basically develop X-Men powers, there's one unique (probably sentient) power called the Imagine Breaker that just... makes all that other shit stop working on contact.
If you take the wielder's claims at face value, it can even negate God's miracles; and I'm fairly certain capital-G God is an actual character in that series.
@@SinHurr I know about the Imagine Breaker but never watched the series itself, probably should give it a go sometime but yeah kinda like it. I think it makes sense for something like that to be Ichigo's power since he's one of the beings closest to what the Soul King is, also just raw power doesn't cut it against Yhwach who can literally revive himself and it can't be something extremely specific that's useful only against the Almighty since we could be getting the Hell Arc anytime soon and he'll need to have something to go against hell's ruler (who I already have some cool theories about what he could be)
This is a very interesting theory. I like how you took the sheath idea and fitted it into Ichigo's ability after all why else is it there for. How would the mechanics of the power work if you don't mind me asking? @@TheAmerican102 thank you! I think that would be the case yes. As I said I think Kubo used the Silver Arrow as a way to patch the story up since he wouldn't be able to properly introduce Ichigo's ability, so think of it working like the arrow did but with anyone or anything not only Quincy
The main Trailer of tybw also gave away of ichigos ability to shatter fate if you go nd watch it its shown at the last part of tybw trailer 'Bring down the blade with the strength to shatter fate '
Ichigo's ability should be in line with what you have mentioned but i think it could also be taking on the shape needed to alter the events taking place now and alter fate.
(before watching the video), I think Ichigos true Bankai has the power to shatter fate and negate any hax. Absolute Will and Strength so strong and beyond anything. That he can cancel out most if not all broken abilities and cut through anyone and anything!
I think the Almighty broke Ichigo's sword which was at the Tensa Zangetsu state because it was formed that way in the future, but the speculated power of Ichigo's sword countered the Almighty by changing its own shape into the original Shikai Zangetsu making it an unchangable future because Yhwach only saw the Tensa Zangetsu version, but the dream Yhwach had was from the Almighty (or Haschwalt idk) maybe showing him that the Shikai Zangetsu would be the one killing him. The premonition came from the Bankai's speculated ability to overcome fate, but Almighty is in a sense uncounterable, so the attempted shattering of Ichigo's bankai was countered by the Bankai changing its form to its true form which is the Shikai Zangetsu. Which Yhwach only barely knew about, and his power did not erase. Also the Shikai Zangetsu might've only showed when its ability knew when the Almighty would be shut down because of Uryu's arrow, and chose to reveal itself in that moment because of its ability awakening at the perfect time that its able to overcome Yhwach's Almighty. Maybe the Tensa Zangetsu was there to cloak the real form, so the Almighty couldn't fully shatter it, I don't know if this is plausible because you could say its poor writing because of Kubo's health at the time, but if Yhwach really feared the Tensa Zangetsu why was it able to still be repaired by Tsukishima and Orihime. If Yhwach truly meant to destroy it the Almighty would've stopped the future where Ichigo's Tensa Zangetsu could ever be repaired via Almighty. It could have been the speculated Bankai's ability. Then again the speculated Bankai's ability/Ichigo's secret ability to overcome fate does sound kind of bullshit, but if the Bankai is confirmed to have the power to overcome fate the Shikai form could be explained by having the Tensa Zangetsu be there to hide the true form from Yhwach. If Haschwalt was the one who showed him the dream it could be that only Haschwalt saw the Shikai Zangetsu from the future sending it back to Yhwach because at that time in the future Yhwach couldn't use the Almighty because of Uryu's arrow.
Sucks because we will never really know his true Bankai unless it is touched upon in a continuation of the hell arc but who knows

I always thought that Ichigo's bankai was to kill God. Because the translation for Tenza Zangetsu is "Heavenly chain, cutting the moon." The moon, in practically ALL Japanese myths and folklore state that the moon is either a god, a goddess, or the place where Princess Kaguya lives/is. Who is also the official Moon goddess in most Shinto religions.

that didnt sound like "your work shapes your future" kinda deal to me, i was 90% sure that it was an inherent part of ichigo's power that we saw a lot of in the show which can explain some stickier moments like him coming back to life from death against ulqiourra
I always assumed that his Bankai is a speed boost, like it always was only this time he becomes so fast he can attack outside the concept of time, thus avoiding the allmightys effects.

It’s funny because based on Yhwachs own words in his & Ichigos fight (Chapter 673), we already know what Ichigos true bankai ability is, it’s “exactly the same as Yhwachs own almighty”, the main difference being that Ichigos allows him to “manipulate any singular ‘moment’ in time that he is witnessing with his two eyes”, whereas Yhwachs almighty allows him to “manipulate the multitude of ‘futures’ that he can see with his”. So essentially Yhwach can influence everything he sees in the ‘future’ & Ichigo can influence whatever he witnesses in the ‘present’ & I guess that can also translate to ‘shattering fate’ (the popular theory around the community)
This is all further hinted at with the recent episode of the blood war arc anime showing ichigo manifest the almighty eyes while on his trial down the path of Irasusando whereby he momentarily took on the weight of the soul kings power whilst it passed through him via him witnessing his memories (which are power itself); this trial is likely a test of the almighty powers existence within ichigo & purely about drawing it out to the surface whereby he could freely utilise it
Also because Yhwach is omniscient (all seeing) he can essentially cherry pick whatever future he wants & bring it into his present whereas Ichigo isn’t omnipresent (present everywhere at once) & therefore cannot witness everything going on at once & so the range of his influence over the present is limited; one power is taken atleast near to its limits (Yhwach) whereas Ichigos power is in its infancy, explaining the gap in power
I imagine the range of perception changes with the ammount of pupils of the almighty one has, for example - when Yhwach awakened his second pupil against Ichibei he was able to see a enough possible futures to find & bring a future where he didn’t have his name changed into his own, but when he awakened his third pupil he sees enough possible futures to see one in which he defeats Ichibei & draws that future into his own killing him instantly. The range of his future sight was likely limited & once he had all three, the restrains of its limits were drastically reduced
Ichigo in general (for example in his fight with Yhwach etc) doesn’t have the ability go manifest any almighty pupils right now & therefore his range of ‘present sight’ is drastically limited, likely to only what he can see in front of him, with all three pupils I imagine he would be able to see all things happening in the present for example & influence the present as he sees fit, something like this would literally make him SK Yhwachs equal & so you can imagine why he was afraid of it & broke his true bankai immediately
YES! I have been saying the same for years now - that his power is 'on a higher plane' than usual bankais, higher than eg. Kyoraku even. While those most powerful ones tend do operate on 'concepts' (Kyoraku's and his different interpretations of 'play'), Ichigo can actually similarly to Inoue oppose the 'concept'. In his case that can be described as 'cutting through destiny', opposing faith, just like he has proven time and again he did and will rise against all odds and be victorious in the end ✌

Also, that ‘plot’ arrow’s effects had completely warn off by the time Ichigo had reached Yhwach, you can tell just by looking at the panel (Yhwach goes in to break Ichigo’s blade, his confident demeanour shows that he thinks that he can destroy Ichigo’s Bankai - this is further backed up by Uryu believing Ichigo won’t make it in time in the panel beforehand). It’s the reason Yhwach becomes distraught when the shell of Ichigo’s blade crumbles revealing another blade underneath (and subsequently killing him straight after).
Imo his power is unlimited potential. Kind of like Saitama. He becomes as strong as he needs to be to defeat the enemy. He is the next Soul King
I always thought with the combined abilities of hallow, shingami, Quincy Ichigo can use all those powers and techniques but his bankai is like the almighty not just reshaping the future but the ability to reshape the past. He’s technically the closest thing to the spirit king we have rn. So it would be safe to say that he has that as his swords ability. Another example is that he’s the only one that got his Quincy powers to manifest into yawach meaning his abilities corespond with yawachs ability to use the almighty but bc ichigo has so many supernatural races mixed into him. He can not only see and change the future but the past as well
Reshaping the past is too much of a stretch. The story would suffer severe paradox contradictions with it.
If I were to explain the end of the series, they were able to restore the reforged Tensa Zangetsu thanks to Tsukushima. Yhwach destroyed Tensa Zangetsu in all possible future resulting to Orihime unable to restore Tensa Zangetsu. Tsukushima inserted himself into Ichigo's past to create a new present instance. This present instance with Tsukushima in the past provides new set of future in which Tensa Zangetsu was not broken by Yhwach allowing Orihime to restore Tensa Zangetsu.
@@smcmaison7845 if a regular person like tsukushima was able to rewrite the past to get Ichigos bankai won’t orihime who also had such a broken power. You don’t think there is a possibility that he could have reality and fate manipulation ? The guy has all the races in him combined. And it’s stated somewhere ( can’t remember where but you can search it) that orihime was affected and grew more power due to ichgios power as a shinagami. In my opinion if ichgios latent powers can share or awaken someone’s power. And orhimes is rejection of reality then it stands to state that ichgio could have it too. Chad got the hallow version of his power. And it would make sense why those two got those two powers. Chad doesn’t care what power it is but he wants to protect. He gets hallow powers and awakens them to fight and protect using his hands. Orihime can’t stand Tatsuki getting hurt like her brother so wants to reject that reality. Ichigo would be the one who without even knowing gave them these powers through his patent abilities. I’d reckon to say that if he wanted to he can give abilities just like yawach
@@mangochampagnelasssi9028 it is not impossible. However, an ability that changes the past is a bold move for an established shounen story like Bleach, unless groundwork was already established for it within those 600+ chapters. It could ruin the story.
Moreover, tsukishima's power is NOT broken. His power cannot change the past, it merely inserts himself within someone's past. Meaning the past has not changed, he is just inserted into it.
Orihime's power IS broken if she masters it specially the attack one. The rejection of reality is only limited by the area it can affect. However, it only works as long as a future exists in which she successfully rejects the reality which is why she is heavily countered by the Almighty. It cannot change the past but rejects the present and able to choose the least probable future that contradicts the present.
It is in the Uryu vs Ichigo competition in which Urahara explained to both Orihime and Chad that their powers awakened because of Ichigo's shinigami powers. Note that it was awakened, Ichigo did not give those powers, the powers already existed within them and Ichigo's shinigami powers merely helped awakened it. Aizen has a different theory that it was the Hogyoku within Rukia that manifested those powers. Though it is highly unlikely as Urahara put some seal on it and a gigai that absorbs reiatsu in order to not grab some attention.
They better lengthen the fuck out this fight seen in the manga. Oath, I'll open a straight up lawsuit if he doesn't.
The other thing I am not sure if ichigo ever realized, that I just realized myself, is that he himself was partly the reason a lot of spirits he interacted with got eaten.. How crazy is it that the entire time since his mother died he has been able to see all sorts of spirits but he never saw another hollow? How is it that They always showed up when he wasn't there? That seems statistically impossible unless they intentionally stayed away. My guess is it was something territorial they sensed what may even have come across as some sort of menos and just instinctively stayed out of what they thought was his hunting grounds. Yet it would make sense they would shadow the larger predator to maybe hunt whatever he leaves behind. Anyways that was a rant that might not make any sense if it doesn't i apologize in advance.
I feel like even what you said is merely a fraction. I'm inclined to believe that the fate manipulation is an attribute of his Quincy powers(he has his own sentient yhwach). I feel like he's an attribute for each species he is. Evolutionary traits of a hollow(he can now withstand the almighty with having his sword snapped), fate manip of his Quincy ancestor. The shinigami aspect is unknown but I feel like time stop is a feasible option(referring back to ichigo Vs zaraki where oldman stopped everything around ichigo, proceeded to use blut vene then Quincy shadow to transport him to his inner world).
The bankai remained such a mystery that we never even witnessed it in a full fight.

Just a theory, it hinted that the old zangetsu wasn't his sword or more of a concealed version of the sword because with the old sword we see a cloth wrapped around his sword handle but with the new version it shows that the cloth isn't there so his real power isn't nerfed.
It doesn't make sense when people said "Ichigo true bankai" ability is just the same as before (power boost) because why would Ywhach said his Bankai is "Dangerous" if it only have power boost? It's not gonna do anything to Ywhach.
That's why I refused to believe these people who said Ichigo's true bankai ability is just a power boost and no special ability. Even if it's strong enough to cut or kill Ywhach, he always have the Almighty to reverse it.
I believe Kubo owes us an answer regarding Ichigo's true bankai ability.
It's that Yhwach's Almighty allows him to dictate fate, conversely Ichigo's true bankai shatters fate.
They need to give ichigo a broken bankai ability like it feels like the main character is being left in the dust with abilities

I would like to say he is quincy and those usually got a powers such as antithesis and others, this could be part of that his could be fate/destiny. It is always interesting how much ichigo has in him not just all his powers but as a person.

Meh. The power to shatter or overcome fate is way too vague for a bankai. Lets say he face Byakuya in another duel and activates his true Bankai and swings his sword. How does shattering fate exactly comes into play? And why is it even necessary?
Therefore I think his true bankai is something similar to his final getsuGA tenshou or Kenpachi's Bankai power. A sword attack so power that it can destroy or nullify anything regardless of form. But bupt necessarily changing or affecting fate

My only issue with his ability being "overcoming fate" is how do you... show that? Like aside from his sword being big, what makes that ability visually distinct from any other power Ichigo has had? Maybe that's a non-issue, but every other captain aside from Aizen has an ability that you can tell just by watching is extremely powerful.
I personally think it has nothing to do fate. It was told in soul society that his OG shikai is the only blade that can defeat yhwach and also foreshadowed in the arc itself. It's prob more of a symbolic thing
I think Ichigo metaphysically shattering chains representing fate would be a fitting way. Like, these chains are not actually there, and nobody but ichigo can see them. Visually it could be represented like Tanjiro cutting the ‘threads’ in demon slayer, or combat wise, it can be explained like how Shatterpoint is explained in the Star Wars novelizations. Or like Ryougi Shinji’s ‘Mystic Eyes of Death Perception’

@@d0m0b40 The reason why his OG blades are able to beat Yhwach is because Yhwach is able to take away Ichigo's Quincy powers. His quincy powers are also merged with his hollow powers so that gets taken away too (from mother). But the only thing left is his Shinigami powers which manifests itself as the OG blades, that's why he is only able to beat Yhwach using powers of Shinigami and not his other two.
