I was pretty well off financially when I got my two dogs but now, not so much. They're an expense but just because I can't currently afford them, should I give them away? We're family, we go through the good times and the bad times together. They eat daily and if they have a medical issue, they're insured. Having poor pet parents is still better than overcrowded shelters, imo. Pets value their owners love not wealth.

I always gave, I never asked. It is unfortunate that people use those type of groups to scam the good people...

She claims she worked for People Incorporated which is an assisted living facility. She very well could have been assaulted by a client (who tend to range from on the spectrum to mentally ill) and wrongfully terminated.

We have a neighbourhood group on Facebook where people can ask for help (extra food during harder months, used toys, clothes or equipment, a drill for half an hour to fix something, etc.) but there is a strict rule enforced: you cannot ask for money. This case is why.

She even went as far as trying to sign in as a new user and with a new user name, but no one was fooled. I still don't know if the police got involved in this scam or not, but I haven't heard from her since, and good riddance, too.

But because I love pet, I have 20 fish in my two huge tanks. I take care of my eye glasses every night so I can wear them long. If you are not ready for emergencies, don't even start it. There is always some alternative ways to deal with your desire.

I am a disability pensioner fighting cancer, I have never asked for any money. I make do with the money I get from the government which is way less than a low income from working. You don’t NEED contact lenses. And your dog probably doesn’t need the surgery. I can’t even afford make up, have been wearing the same clothes for 10 years, have never had my nails or hair done, have hardly left the house besides going to hospitals. This case went exactly like I thought and hoped it would. That defendant is no angel either. Why isn't she working? Just cuz she got fired doesn't mean she can't get another job while suing for wrongful termination.
THE plaintiff is ONLY a scammer if she does not pay back a loan, and there is NO accusation of her not paying back a loan, or that the money was nothing more than a gift. JJ seems pissed that someone who has a job is asking for a donation. Sorry JJ not everyone is on TV making Hollywood money. And if asking for a donation was wrong, WTF is the defendant operating a FB page for donations? asking for donations is the same as people in JJ days doing the coupon thing at the grocery stores.

I am a disability pensioner fighting cancer, I have never asked for any money. I make do with the money I get from the government which is way less than a low income from working. You don’t NEED contact lenses. And your dog probably doesn’t need the surgery. If the dog needs a surgery then find a way to pay for it, get a loan or save up or something, instead of asking others for money. I can’t even afford make up, have been wearing the same clothes for 10 years, have never had my nails or hair done, have hardly left the house besides going to hospitals. I eat one meal a day so that my pets can eat too. You just have to learn to budget and make it work.
