They are mic-ed up so it’s clear to all of us & probably for record purposes. But for them, it’s LIVE audio which isn’t always clear.
It wouldn't be the first time she's jumped to the wrong conclusion. I've always said judge Judy would rip me up one side and down the other. But I prefer not lying and I have rarely told a lie. But she would call me a liar for sure.

I replayed the video, what the girl said, "I was on my way "home" for a therapy appointment", that is exactly what she said the first time Judge Judy, you heard her wrong, she didn't say, "I was on my way to a therapy appointment" , and then change her story, she stayed true to her story.
Phrasing it that way sounds like you are going to have a therapy session at your house. I would have said he was taking me home so that my mother where my mother was waiting to drive me to a therapy appointment.

You misunderstood. She put in her answer, or he did, that he was going to take her to the appointment. They tried to suggest that she (the plaintiff)was rushing and they weren't.
They couldn't keep their story straight. Listen to it again, and keep in mind that JJ has already read the complaint and answer.
