how did you do that volumetric lighting at the end
@@ThomasPotter The fog is a similar sized cube with a volumetric material, and a sun lamp outside. I also added some big planes out of the view to throw shade in all other areas except the window. Hope that helps!
Came for the tutorial, stayed for the philosophy.
I'm glad my RUclips Recommendation brought me here. No better option than subscribe to your channel. Keep up to this kind of tutorial man!!
This is beautiful, you've inspired me to try one myself!
Finally I'm thankful to RUclips recommendations. Such a nice video🙌
your channel is so underrated sadly 😞
I'm so glad someone actually reads and applies whatever they read to their real life, i heard many quotes from the power of the mind and the secret, i might have missed a book but i subscribed, your channel is great.
Thanks a lot! Yeah, even though I still have long ways to go, it's very rewarding to practice these things and notice small improvements in mental/emotional issues over time! And if I can get those improvements, anyone can :)
Love your gimmick, informational and inspirational
I'm used to moving around in games with 3D-environments by flying. This is why I personally always use Blender's Flight Mode.
*Flight Mode in Blender version 2.8* :
- *Shift* + *`* to enter flight mode,
- *W,A,S,D* to move around relative to your view position,
- *E,Q* to move the view up or down and to *mouse-movements* to rotate the view,
- *Left-mouse-click* to exit flight mode and hold the current view, Right-mouse-click to exit flight mode and returns to view before flight,
- *Space* to teleport and get closer to an object you're pointing at,
- *TAB* to enable gravity which allows you to walk in your scene, there also seems to be a feature where you can jump with *V* ,
- *Mouse-scrolling* increases flight speed, holding Shift boosts current flight speed, holding Alt reduces current flight speed.
*Flight Mode in Blender version 2.79* :
- *Shift* + *F* to enter flight mode.
- *W,A,S,D* to move around relative to your view position,
- *E,Q* to move the view up or down and to *mouse-movements* to rotate the view,
- *Left-mouse-click* to exit flight mode and hold the current view, Right-mouse-click to exit flight mode and returns to view before flight,
- *Space* to teleport and get closer to an object you're pointing at,
- *G* to enable gravity which allows you to walk in your scene, there also seems to be a feature where you can jump with *V* ,
- *Mouse-scrolling* increases flight speed, holding Shift boosts current flight speed, holding Alt reduces current flight speed.
Hope it helps someone out!
Nice use of the standard cube :)
The problem with ego/thoughts is the identification with it. Practicing presence (aka being in the now) helps to stop the chattering mind so that ego-identification will become less and less. The goal is to find one's true self/nature.
"Emotions are thoughts, juicy thoughts, therefore they linger longer".
Also; emotions have a signal function: they want to be seen. Just looking at them is enough, there is no need to do more with it if there is no reason for it. If they are kept unseen, they tend to stick around. It can be worth to investigate what triggered the signal function.
Interesting comment about the emotion thing while in the presence state. The true nature is happiness. The happiness (body) emotion is a derivate (or trace) of that. Happiness is always the same, everyone is looking for happiness in a plethora of ways (objects, relations, substances, etc). All searches for happiness outside will fail; it can only be found inside, that is when one finds its true nature.
Thank you for the insightful comment!
The search for the true nature of the reality is definitely ongoing for me :) So you're saying that the bodily emotion of happiness (endorfin etc) is a derivative of the true happiness? What would the real happiness then be? Some sort of an underlying energy field in our basic physics? A trace of some other higher reality? An evolutionary illusion that formed because it pushed life forward so well?
No pressure, just asking for the innermost secrets of the universe... But in all seriousness, while it's clear that there are no definitive answers (at least yet), what seems clear is that achieving true happiness doesn't require any fancy physics. And that's good for us!
Man I love your videos. I can calmly see myself typing this comment.
Relaxing and informative. Thanks for the tutorial, and the food for thought.
Wholesome ❤️
Very interesting concept for time-lapse :))
Love it!
Great philosophical wisdom in blender tutorial instant subscribe
Hey brother, just stopped by your channel and super glad it was recommended~ ! I dont do blender, usually just watch to get into creatives minds. The philosophy time-lapse is one of the best thing I've seen! Keep up the amazing content I know you will go far brother. Much light and love on your journey~!
Muchas gracias! ❤️
U saved humanity
Thank you!!
awesome
Hey, just stumbled upon this video and instantly subbed! Love the real talk during the timelapse, and the alt+middle click trick blew my mind!! hyvää päivänjatkoa :)
Kiitos! Thanks for the comment, Herald :)
I love your videos and i love your voice is so calming it relaxes me
Do you have an instagram account i would really like to see more of your works! and follow u there!
Thank you so much! I do have an Instagram account (@songforhumanity), but I'm not very active there yet. I'm also on Twitter with the same handle :)
Hey man, great video. Loved your style!
Just a quick tip that I think maybe useful: when doing the cage on your default cube, you can accomplish (almost?) exactly the same result with the wireframe modifier. Then set it to show on edit mode and there you go, a cage.
Thanks bro!
He: doing a lot of phelosophy
me: aaah, so that was how a bed is made
i subbed after watching this.
wow !! !! seriously enjoy your tut and tips-- is that cycle or eevee anyways awesome
Thanks! That's eevee :)
10:28 I love it this light and volumetric adjustments. how can we create this kind of light setup is there any tutorial about it?
Você poderia fazer um ensinando a fazer relevo inverso. Eu vi que tem como fazer tipo uma pintura com risco mas eu não achei nada que ensine, se tiver como faça um vídeo assim.

Very nice video sir! Keep up the good work, a little question for you, how did you managed to do the last animation at 10:05? is it also blender? Please do a tutorial for this animation.
Thanks! I used Animation Nodes for that part :)
Here's a good introduction video to AN: ruclips.net/video/byi1oGsVTAA/видео.html
Here's an introduction to falloffs and matrices in AN: ruclips.net/video/GF5krw0Z8QU/видео.html
круто! я ничего не понял, но было интересно))
can you do a video on how you animated the scene and placed the cameras
Sold in the thumbnail, stayed for the Bennett Foddy
Im Curious about the sun ray on the final render, can you explain or have an exact tuts for it
I placed a cube with a low-density volumetric material inside the visible cage, roughly matching in size. Then I just added a bright sun lamp shining through the window (low angle to make shadows sharp), and made some big planes outside the camera view to block light entering from anywhere else than the window. Quite simple, really, but it produces a nice atmosphere :)
I'll try, thanks for reaching out 😀
@@SketchesForHumanity hey, i can't seems to figure it out, can u make a tuts for that, that'll help a lot
Can you tell me how you do last animation where everything starts appearing one by one ? BTW loved your videos!
Thank you! I used Animation Nodes for that last part :)

@@SketchesForHumanity Thanks a lot
how did you make the last bit where its an animation that the objects suddenly pop up
I used Animation Nodes for that, just to make the presentation a bit nicer :) Here's a good introduction to AN's falloffs and matrices: ruclips.net/video/GF5krw0Z8QU/видео.html
Where do you got the cloud texture for the blanket from ?
It's a built-in texture type in Blender. In the texture panel you can just change the texture type to "clouds" :)
How did you make the pop in animation.
I used Animation Nodes for that. A matrix offset with an object controller for the falloff. Another way would've been drivers, but it was quicker to do with AN.
Which command do you use to do the floor? You selected all the face and then... I kind of lost it in this point. I am trying to do... Sorry, I am a beginner. It's a very pretty and amazing project, congratulations!!!
Thanks for the comment :) Do you mean when I fill the floor after making the cage? Just select 2 opposing edges and press F to make a face, both for the upside and the downside.
@@SketchesForHumanity Thank you! I am trying to do it with you! It's so beautiful! I am in love with it! I will continue to do... I probably have other questions, don´t be bothered, please!
When I try to merge everything to distance it says “Removed 0 vertices”, I have all selected and I’m doing exactly as you’re doing in the video, help please :’(
Have you tried increasing the "merge distance" value? ibb.co/vh1M8rQ
Your vertices probably weren't close enough to each other for the basic values.
I think enable "Auto Merge Vertices" will simplify the works
can you share your lighting and material the look is amazing
Sure, here's the file: drive.google.com/file/d/18_9zSPtkJpr0bkxjbAo4qyEMljyjGvqE/view?usp=sharing
Sketches For Humanity wow thanks
could you do some tutorial
Vertices... vertex... I'm moved.
no DONT DO A TIME LAPst I came so I could figure out how to do what you just did
sir how do you make the window? i’m lost 🥲 anw very helpful video! luv it
