- This is how I do it. Chime in,Thumbs up,share, like, subscribe, eat ice cream, drink beer WHATEVER! Lol. A little technical and time consuming but certainly not difficult. Like anything else, the more you do it the easier it is. Shout out to all the newbies and follow Dave Ackerman when you see him comment. Hes a cool dude! Look for part 2 when iys running.
Set the valves, rotate the engine a couple times and check it again.
That's one heck of a blower.
Good informational video! What problems were occuring with the blower?
It will buck when you try to start it or feels like it is way down on compression.
ruclips.net/video/JBHPXchbg3M/видео.html here is another blower with the same problem different video. Very common problem and mostly because it's a 60 hour maintenance requirement that gets overlooked.
don't forget to tighten the bottom engine pan screws, they always seem to back out on me.
Hey Dave , I have one of these and when I turned it off it shudders and trys to rev up and now it has no spark , my ideas ?

Zombie Dave!!! I came here looking for you. I sent you a message a while back commenting about Frankenstein pole trimmer with the stihl 4 mix engine and some other machine for the blade end because of the bearing problems Stihl has with the needle bearings in the connecting rods. I’m the guy that told you how I took the cage From the newer models cut it and put it in the older one.
It’s still going strong believe it or not. I know you’re a big fan of the 4mix motor. I am myself I have probably 25 blocks pistons I’ll kinds of parts lying around. Recently I put an engine together because I needed a weedeater. I had a 130 block all the parts put it together and it worked great till I burnt valve. Fortunately I had another one I change the valve make sure to get myself some synthetic 2 cycle Which I think was my problem. It ran strong for a good month maybe two. But right now it’s kicking my ass as far as figuring out what’s wrong with it. I started up on choke sometimes I have to give it a little shot of gas in the carb it will fire up and run all day. But the problem I’m having now it doesn’t wanna start I put a little gas in the carb it fires up runs for a minute or two really good then it dies. I’ve change the carb I’ve changed the little hose going from the car to the crank case I have found loose But I’m still having the same problem it cranks up runs like a scalded dog then dies doesn’t wanna start if it does it cranks up again runs like a scalded dog for a minute then dies again. Any suggestions while I still have some hair on my head. I fix these all the time from a pile of parts I put together a new one but for some reason I’m having a brain fart on this one. Would appreciate some help if you could maybe I’m missing something. You could email me because it’ll be hard to find this thread to see if you reply. My name is Lonnie my email livinonthehedge@ yahoo.com
@@lccurtis6548 you have an air leak somewhere buddy. I'm sure of it. Check the obvious like the cork gasket under the valve cover first.
