Cats are awesome because they're assholes... most people marry, and humans are way worse than cats!
The cat wants to buy some treats and needs money, so it wanted to get the precious metals (he knows a fence).
On the bright side, you can now claim to have a platinum-coated garage floor.
Nah, call it "platinum-infused;" sounds even more haughtier.
Say it helps reflect cosmic rays or something.

I just wonder if cat is coated too
@przemko961
Nah, Cody probably threw the cat into the remains of the acid bath to redisolve the particles
I hope that the hilarity that a cat screwed up your CATalytic converter extraction isn’t lost on you.
I have great respect for how you just seem to fool around with stuff that's left around the house.

I used to do metal plating. I eventually got into running the wastewater plant for the plating shop. I loved it. Well one day I got a barrel of nitric acid that was mislabeled as sodium hydrosulfate. Well thinking it was hydrosulfate I went to top off the remainder of one barrel into the new barrel. Except I wasnt pouring a base into a base I poured a base (sodium hydrosulfate) into a fresh barrel of Nitric acid. 80% bahm. It blew up in my face spraying my eyes and lungs and ears with a nasty chemical reaction. Luckily due to my training through Lake vocational I knew to stay calm and get straight to a wash station. I hit myself with the shower flushed my eyes. And gargled water even breathing some in through my nose to flush my nasal cavities and lungs. Went to the hospital to get treated for very mild chemical burns. 2 days later I quit. Too dangerous for me.
I dont think it stays glowing red cause the gas is reacting with the platinum. I think its burning the fuel that's coming into contact with a already glowing hot surface. Pretty much how a glow plug works on a diesel engine. If it was glowing still cause a chemical reaction. you wouldn't have to heat the ceramic in order to get the chemical reaction to start reacting with gas fumes. Fumes ignite easily
