It was easier for me to remove the alternator to access and remove the water pump. Thanks for the video!

Great video, thank you! This procedure is very similar for a 2006 Elantra. Many others state that the water pump can only be removed when replacing the timing belt (2006's have belts whereas I believe yours has a chain); while I agree it is potentially worthwhile to do both at the same time, it really is not that much work (as you have aptly illustrated) to do so whenever the pump needs to be replaced.
Frankly, I think doing the water pump at the same time creates many opportunities for things to go wrong. I believe in preventative maintenance, but I am not entirely confident that replacing a functioning water pump is worthwhile, JUST because you have already removed a motor mount and a few other bolts.
    I appreciate your great videos.

My 2016 Hyundai Elantra SE 1.8 has a automatic tensioner and I couldn’t find anyone with a video with a similar set up to what I have, it needs a 17mm wrench to lift it up and release the tension on the belt in my case it wouldn’t budge at all, loosening the top bolt on the alternator and taking off the little bolt on the bracket to drop it down was the only way I was able to pull the tensioner arm up and get a new belt on

Have you checked to see if the radiator cap is faulty? Maybe change that. It's easy to do and cheap, too. Try that first. Make sure the car's engine is cold before you try to remove the radiator cap. Never remove a cap on a car that's engine is hot

      Seems dramatic
For those of you that don't own a Jack and still want To Do it? I'm pretty sure you could just get the alternator out of the way and do it that way give you the even more clearance and view of what. You're doing you don't want to mess that pomp up and have To Do it again have a leak. Is what? I'm saying look so ye seems a little dramatic still of awaited do it but.
All that Jack and all that. Why do you all that when you can just get that Alternator out 2 bolts on the assuming plus the ground on the power.
