I apologize for some moments of weird audio, I think the mic was very cold and couldn't handle reflected noise or anything loud so it distorted and peaked at certain times. I did my best to make it tolerable and I'll figure out what I can do to avoid it next time!
Thanks!

Dig the vlog style. Good camera review in the other vid - looks pretty sick will definitely check it out.
I love my Fuji X100. I also own a Leica M9 with a 35mm lens - that is an amazing setup. However, when I travel, or just head out for the day, the X100 is my ‘take along’ camera! It is so capable, so much fun to shoot, ver capable, and if it gets stolen, damaged or lost, it is more easy to replace. I love it! Thanks for the great videos.
Dion Forster that’s a great way to think about it. Thanks for the kind words!
I just bought a X100F as well. Now my XT-2 has a brother. Great video.
Tim Bindner thanks so much! Enjoy!
Well done. I love my X100T and ACROS is the only thing that would have me upgrade to the F. Such nice daily carry cameras.
Joe Lopez I agree, although I am looking forward to some nicer weather and some colour!
@@JimMadden For sure - the same here in Michigan!
Joe Lopez looks like spring is on the way!
Hi Jim, I have had my 100F for nearly 2 yrs, most of the stuff I shoot I do in Acros, love the B&W!
Simon Williams such an amazing color profile!
Jim. This is fucking gorgeous. Love it.
Cinq1 Photographie thank you man!
Nice photos bro! 🤘🏼⚡👊🏼
Ygor Chaves thank you man!
The parkade that you wanted to get into is easy to get into at night. They don't always have a guard on. I've been in there a few times and never had an issue. Just keep trying. I'm a big X100F user in Calgary. There's some great places to shoot that people don't even consider. Great work by the way.
thesilversurfer100 oh sick! Thanks so much!
I really enjoyed the video Jim and subscribed. I’ve been contemplating getting this camera for some time and watched a ton of videos on it from other youtubers but since I’m a super indecisive person I couldn’t make up my mind whether to buy the x100f or a newer camera like the xt30. I’m not looking to become a studio photographer or anything like that, I would mainly use it like you did in this video. You got some great shots of your city, looking forward to more videos
Steven Mathews thanks so much! I was on the fence for a long time and did a ton of research myself so I know the feeling
Jim Madden lol I think I’m going to take the leap and make the purchase, I’m sure I won’t be disappointed
Steven Mathews no I definitely don’t think you will be. Best part is I’m sure you could always return it within a time frame if it doesn’t live up to expectations!
definitely post on instagram with the fuji, love to see other people’s work with it
Rich goon GangTM yeah I’ll get back into the flow of it. Need to develop the habit again, thanks!
Go to the parades at night. The security guards are good to deal with. The 3Street parade you went to I’ve shot from many times and I’ve not had any issues. The homeless car prowling problems are what cause the guards to ask you to leave. It’s a standard across the city. Rich. Calgary.
how is this camera for portraits? maybe consider making a video on that? :)
Nick Smith definitely! I shoot all my wife’s content with it so I can do that for sure, it’s wider than traditional portrait gear but it works great
Are you vlogging with a FS5?? How do you hold it at arm's length for so long?
raksh9 it’s not actually that bad! The 10-18mm is super light, and I can hold it a bit closer to my body that way too. I mean, it gets heavy after a while but I just don’t film for too long at a time.
For Portraits, which Acros mode is the best?
BREADCRUMBS I prefer the G, softens up skin really nicely!
@@JimMadden Thank you
BREADCRUMBS no problem man, have fun!
The title of this video really threw me off because I thought you were actually using the x100F to vlog with and that's why I came here, lol
moomi haha! Sorry about that, I figured it was walking that fine line of truth and click bait ;)
