    To up the realism even more, I would change the dome so that the flat portion of the dome doesn't have any emission applied, only the diffuse. That way the shadows should be much more realistic

    If you ever want to make your own photosphere, you can still download an older version of Google camera. There are some tricks to turn into an HDR, but that’s still available.

    This is a good tutorial, these HDRI environments lack parallax but a majority of the ppl looking at the subject in the center wont know the difference.

    Only comment I have is in regards to the sun light you added- it doesn’t really make sense to soften it unless your hdri has cloud covering the sun. Fully exposed sun would be very hard light with sharp shadows.

  • @fabioroncal8763
    @fabioroncal8763 Месяц назад

    Besides all the other problems you didn’t address, the biggest one is the noise you introduced by having this dome. Better use a regular hdri, and add only the ground part of your done.

    I know this is unrelated but give the Quran a read, the downsides of this method is that the render time is heavily increased, you can easily take time and make a simple environment that will lead to a quicker render time

    Blender now totally sucks because all these tutorials only seem to work in the version of Blender they were made in. That breaks 99 percent of tutorials made. An exisying confusing program made even more confusing.

    • @silencethequiet
      @silencethequiet Месяц назад +3

      I've found that most tutorials are preseved extremely well throughout Blender versions. That said, I almost never follow tutorials straight off of keystrokes/buttons anymore because I know the program quite well. I see where issues could arise for new users, and in that case I would suggest focusing more on learning the software and concepts itself through methods besides tutorials. Buttons may change but the functionality of the software remains the same or improves. Keyboard shortcuts usually change quite little as well.
      I CAN recall several times where geometry nodes tutorials were useless due to the fact that nodes are being added/replaced all the time, making some setups extremely redundant in both complexity and performance. Hopefully, that will improve a bit in the future as geonodes developement becomes more backend.
