Why don't you try the games which are recommended by Qualcomm ie: 1200 games which they claim

I think most of the games released before 2015 will run well on this. But I would buy this more because of the battery life.

Hi, how about DaVinci, CapCut, h264-5 video editing they should be arm app's so likely fine? Don't see any Adobe apps if you have Premiere to test that would be great, but most likely end up just as Steam.
I installed the beta for Davinci Resolve for ARM, it opens. I still need to learn how to use it and show it in a video. I don't have any Adobe apps as I mainly use Final Cut Pro and Canva.
@@InvisibleTechEnglish THX, I preordered one (Asus) for mainly photo editing on the go, now thinking it might be a mistake :) Though PS and Lightroom should run native, still not sure that they are the same aps as on standard x86 regarding features.

As can be seen on your screen - when you added power - you also added a monitor. Try adding only power - Before you start the game.
I don’t think that’s the reason. Besides that, users should be able to plug it to a docking station. These are just not for gaming
Can you showcase how some older games run? Like Quake 1 and 2, Half Life 1, Gothic 1 etc.? Or maybe apps like Notepad++ or Remote Desktop. If you have the time of course. Thanks!

This is the first independent review I see of this. Please try some native games or apps. I don't think this x86 emulation is really representative.
Native apps overall work good, except Chrome crashing from time to time. But there are many apps not written in x86, and normal people will like to use them. I will keep testing.
Do you have any suggestion of games or apps for me to test?

The laptop works just fine, and its normal to get hot, dont worry, all the Mac do the same, and, not all the games are compatible .. there is a list of games that are tested .. just search for that list .. for example, Metro Last Light .. run at 65 FPS. .. Enjoy your laptop.. mine is comming tomorrow 😉
Isn’t that game from 2013? I think that’s not the point. Qualcomm and Microsoft said this was the best processor ever made for Windows laptops, and well… as of now is not delivering what was said.
I’ve had M1 MacBook Airs and they’ve never ran as hot as this laptop.
But yes I’m enjoying it for working, browsing, watching content. For that it has great performance and battery life 👍🏻

@@InvisibleTechEnglish Sorry i have an a MACBOOK M3 PRO . With 1tb and 18GB RAM . I played some games as for example Stray, KLies of P and Frostpunk. The performance are stunning, but the mac it is very very hot. the body underneath is really hot and honestly while I was playing I was definitely worried about the health of my MAC. I saw your review and I honestly don't understand your surprise. I hope you don't want to question what I'm saying because I don't like writing what I'm writing. But it is a normal condition for machines that are stressed with both the CPU and the GPU. If this were not the case it would mean that my MC has problems. During normal use this does not happen and has never happened.
@@InvisibleTechEnglish I somewhat agree with you that these new Snapdragon laptops may appear to be underperforming than what was promised, but we need to wait and see if this is just for Samsung or other manufactures as well. Plus, from some quick googling, Apple Silicon Macs easily reach over 100C degrees when gaming or running benchmarks. You repeatedly say the laptop gets very very hot, but it is perfectly normal for laptops to reach this level of temperature. The only thing I can say negatively about this chip is that Apple Silicon Macs will run cooler when idling.
Hey man how about the fan noise compared to x86 laptops?
When using native apps, the fans are turned off or you can barely hear them, so it is great on that part.
When using Steam (x86 app) the fans turn on and the laptop gets really hot
I heard that some of the samsungs are running only at 2 something GHz which is much lower than what the Snapdragon can do, have you confirmed it's running with the full clock speed? Looking online some of the samsung laptops also have different firmwares Idk why this is, but maybe there will be a firmware update available to fix the issues.
The fix has been out since last weekend. You don't need to worry too much.

The energy profile that you set on Samsung settings app affects directly the performance and fans. I will do some tests to see how high clock frequency gets. But I think any emulated task that requires high GPU performance is not going to improve much. I don’t like having my laptop GPU at 95C even if it “performs”

Nope, I changed all the settings to normal/medium, and 1080p resolution in the game configuration. Did I do something wrong? I can try again :)

Do you contact the Support of this issue? No Galaxy AI no COPILOT?
I have opened a case, but it seems Galaxy AI only works through phone link when you connect a Samsung phone. Copilot for Windows is not available in Europe yet, so it is on Microsoft fault
But I've contacted the Support by Livechat. They told me Copilot+ is available. On Microsoft Website is it also available for GERMANY. Maybe it's not in your County?
@@reddeadaltendorf7390 I don't know for sure. But some German early users where saying that last week they got it installed but after one of the updates the COpilot and Recall got removed.

Thanks for the video! Opening up the Task Manager and showing how bad Microsoft is compared to Apple. They couldn't even get their own apps and their vendor's (Samsung) apps on ARM, how can they convince demanding applications to instantly port to ARM? Another failure! Was very much looking forward to it :(

Yes, but for native ARM apps performance is better than Intel with no fan sound. So if you use for laptop for office, teams or similar, browsing, media consumption, this is much better than Intel

It's tricky, I will update with new videos. I'm keeping the Samsung as it satisfies my needs. Great battery life whem running native apps, thin and light with HDMI port.
The Laptop has not even officially released you got it early, let's wait till it's released worldwide and see if it gets some more updates. I'm hopeful and I think within a few months of all these SD X elite Laptops being out, they'll have optimized more stuff with more native arm apps.
Yes, I expect things to improve a lot, but I’m not hopeful on gaming on these laptops. For the rest of apps, I think they are going to be a step in the right direction
