If youre looking for taking the train to shenzhen from hk island, not really difficult. Head to Admiralty Station and directly change the East Rail Line to either Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau. Then you can cross the border there to shenzhen directly. You can go from Admiralty to Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau without any interchanges by taking the East Rail Line directly.
Thanks Sunny! I took it once too, but I found that it wasn't too convenient for me living on Hong Kong Island side, because it takes some time to get to West Kowloon station and you also usually need to get there a bit earlier to clear security checks. Also tickets are a little bit more expensive. But, I think people living around West Kowloon Station, it's definitely the easiest way!
Nice video! Im heading to SZ via HK this weekend. Last time i went to SZ was 17 yrs ago and it looks so different now. I also heard from my friends in HK that you guys go to SZ more often as a weekend getaway and hotels + food is so much better and affordable. Im excited! Thanks
You should clarify what passports do not need a visa. For example, a US passport will require a visa which is a hassle to obtain unless you sign up for a tour (that can get you a special visa), ahead of time from a special tour agency in HK.
@@FSilva00. As I said, there are exceptions, and “pretty much everyone” is certainly not the majority. Perhaps, you can list the major exceptions (the US and Canada). Given the political environment, I doubt US and Canadian citizens will ever be eligible be any easy short stay, free visa to China. China charges $200 to US citizens for typical (not special tourist types) visas to China.
She is only not aware that she has to speak more professionally, it's not a crime. People talk like that in HK even tho we know this place is Hong Kong China. However, personally when I talk to fiends about my country, I refer hongkong as Hong Kong China and China as mainland China. It's more understandable. Almost 100 percents of the HK chinese call china 'mainland', we don't usually say China.
Hi! Unfortunately Shenzhen does not use Octopus Card. You can use the Transport Code in AliPay and WeChat though. I saw there is a new Octopus-T Union Card that you can purchase from Hong Kong, but I have never tried...
Hello i saw the video that you go 甘坑古镇 and the 24 history academy, how much time roughly did u spend over there? As I’m planning to head over there as well when I’m heading to shenzhen
which mall did you go to for the coconut chicken? was trying to figure out based on the coconut shop you went after but my detective skills failed me...
Hiya! It's probably best to check with your local authorities as I'm not sure about all the visa details... but from my understanding, yes, most people need a separate visa to go into China. However, I know China has launched a 72-hour visa-free transit arrangement, so you can have a look and see if that would work for you!
Hi! Not everyone can speak Cantonese, but I believe a lot of people may be able to somewhat understand certain words... the main language is Mandarin. However, if you're able to read Chinese, you should be fine!
hello I enjoyed your video, I’m currently working in HK and planning to go for 1 day Tour in ShenZhen do I need to get Visa for me to enter ShenZhen? Looking forward to your answer. Thank you!💚
Hi! Thanks for watching my video! Yes you will need a different visa to the one you have for HK if you’re looking to enter Shenzhen! You can find more information on the China Visa Application Service Centre website :)
You keep saying you’re leaving from Hong Kong to China. as if Hong Kong is not China. so politically incorrect. Just like the Taiwan separatist faction who a few years ago started to address the other side, not as mainland but China. Does your passport not say China?
My favourite way to travel between Hong Kong and Shenzhen is the high speed rail, fast and immigration a breeze
17min from west Kow Loon to Futian CBD area
I can recommend my favorite coconut chicken restaurant in Shenzhen, its called 小火璽, located near the Shenzhen bay border. They specialize in 椰漿雞😀
Thank you! I will most definitely try this!
小火玺好吃😂尤其鲍鱼

Or you can take High speed train to Shenzhen also about 15 minutes from West Kowloon station.

Hi! We spent about 3-4 hours there as we also had a quick dinner at 甘坑古镇!
Nice ! very informative! what is the exact address of the bus stop if I don't take the MTR please?
Hi! It should be 138 Hennessy Road :)
which mall did you go to for the coconut chicken? was trying to figure out based on the coconut shop you went after but my detective skills failed me...
Haha! The coconut chicken was at 卓越 INTOWN Mall! Having said so, they have many branches across the city!
Going to Shenzhen for 1 days soon, thanks for the tips! ❤
You're welcome! Enjoy!
Where we can buy a one day visa in Shenzhen.

What’s the mall?
Can HKDs be used in Shenzhen?
Unfortunately not... they use CNY in Shenzhen. However, if you have Alipay HK or WeChat Pay HK, it should work if it's linked to your credit card!

They can speak Cantonese & teochew too! You have to try水立方水疗massage spa. Decent, not sleazy.
