You should absolutely visit the Buddha, just do it on a good weather day, it’s amazing. Also the Peak tram is really good & the views up there are amazing too. Just be careful of the wavy floor on the tram. I think it’s to stop things rolling backwards on the floor when going up the steep tracks. Have fun, we loved HK
FYI the first few minutes of ‘Victoria Peak’ is not Victoria Peak but a bit of Lion Rock (it seems) and a bit of (Sheung Shui) as well a few pictures were of the wrong place which is a bit odd.
Look, just nip out from wherever you're staying and begin walking in the streets in whatever direction looks interesting to you. Just keep walking and walking and walking and when you feel like it, hop onto a bus or tram or whatever that looks interesting to you. Keep looking around you all the time, at the shops, restaurants, things, people, absolutely everything around you. I guarantee you THAT is the authentic Hong Kong experience. I should know, I have pretty much been here all my life. Have a great time!
I was trying visit HK for few years as it's number 1 on my travel list but due to pandemic it was impossible. Now I'm motivated to finally see it this autumn, thanks for guidelines!
The first Disneyland opened in July 1955 & is located in Anaheim, California (USA). Next was Tokyo Disneyland opening in April 1983. Paris Disneyland was the third park to carry the Disneyland brand. HK Disneyland opened in September 2005 and was the 4th park to carry the Disneyland brand. Prior to major renovations, the Castle at HK Disneyland was a duplicate of one at California (Anaheim) Disneyland. The park is a joint venture between Hong Kong International Theme Parks Ldt (which the HK Government is a share holder) and The Walt Disney Company.
Disneyland in Anaheim, CA was first, but Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL opened second in 1971. Tokyo Disneyland was the first international park, followed by EuroDisney (now Disneyland Paris), Hong Kong Disneyland, and more recently Shanghai Disneyland. Every location, except Hong Kong and Shanghai, have at least one additional theme park as part of its resort.
Where as Walt Disney World in Orlando (Florida) was the second Disney series of parks to open, in 1971, none of these parks carry the Disneyland brand. There are currently only 5 parks in the world that carry the Disneyland Brand, 3 of these are located in the Asia.
Thanks for so many great ideas and information I will be there this January 21st as it will be a layover any suggestions should I go out and see the country or stay inside the airport since I will be arriving at 8:30 pm
Hong Kong Disneyland are near International Airport, also Tai Pak Beach, but by the time you arrive I don't know if it's worth it. They are activities to do during the day.
Hey, the YT algorithm bring me to this video, as a Hong Kong, I definitely agree with your warning, also, the problem of taxi service is not only the traffic jam, it is also involved cheating and refusing passengers who want to take a short trip. Although Uber is not fully legal and expensive, the service seem better than taxi so that it is quite popular
I would recommend going to Cheng Chau island in hong kong !This island has tons of cool and special foods which is very cheap, for example the famous fishball shop !It is also very crowded on weekends so i recommend going on weekdays !Going there by boat only takes 1 hour from central !I stayed there for a few weeks .
Many pictures or videos do not match the location, and there is a Thai market that is not in HK. Not visiting HK Kong Island is BS, you miss a lot of interesting places.
The peak is worth seeing plus there is more ways to get there other than the tram, as for the big Buddha l again have to disagree it’s one of the highlights in fact a must when you take the cable car the views are amazing well worth a visit
@@topthingstoknow83 thank you , yes I was aware it used to British colonised , however as they’ve taken back what belongs to them I was unsure if things had been changed etc , than you for you’re time 👍
@@Trystan46 yes, there are still the double Chinese and English references. English is still one of the two official languages of HK today, in addition to Chinese, of course 😉
Hi! For entry into the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, a vaccination certificate is no longer required, nor a negative result of an anti-Covid test. So arriving passengers are no longer subject to any restrictions in the days following entry into Hong Kong 😉
