    welcome to my city. enjoy your trip. actually during our national holiday from Oct.1~7, there was drone show every day. the most closed place to your hotel is call "Bijia hill" just closed to the Lotus hill you stayed, if you were there, you can watch the amazing drone show at 8:00pm.
    regarding the toilet, usually the public toilets in Shenzhen are very clean no matter which park you stay. there is a dedicated person in charge of the cleaness of toilet. the only problem is you shouldn't come out during the national holiday. it's 20 times crowded than usual. every place was packed with people.
    now you should understand why every China railway station, metro station or bus station is so massive. all the infra of China were built for peak week and leave some buffer for the future expansion.

    Guys, dim sum restaurants are never quiet and they’re not meant to be a quiet place. Even if it’s not during national holidays, they are still packed over the weekends cuz they are the typical restaurants to go to for families. It’s a Cantonese (Guangdong/Shenzhen/Hong Kong) culture and tradition where all generations of a family (from elderly to kids, especially those who do not live together) come together on a weekly/biweekly basis to catch up with each other, basically just chats. So how can these restaurants be quiet and calm? They’re not even meant to be like that, not meant to be fancy, soothing or chill places.
    And because of the porcelain tea pots and the constant serving of food bits by bits in all little plates, noises can’t be avoided.

    Not a good idea to go to touristy places in China during their national holidays. Basically you will be with millions of people from other parts of China competing for the same services.
    That's why China has to build so much infrastructure, and need to do things in the most efficient way, in order to cater for such rush periods.

Feeling sorry about the experience, but we usually live in the hotels with corporate chains around the country like QuanJi. Especially in cities like Beijing where lots of old towns and buildings are still present, it is quite common to see small businesses that are for tourists with relatively low budget, so please keep that in mind if you guys are still in China and wish to visit some small cities! What you understood was that the security inspector asked you if it was water, and you answered yes. But you misunderstood the security inspector's meaning, so the security inspector kept saying "NO..." The security inspector's meaning was wrong. It was not that you took the wrong photo, but that you did not drink a sip of water as she asked, so she kept saying "NO" to you. There was a misunderstanding in your communication. Just like your guys said Shenzhen is a young city. All of us are not born in this city. We all come from everywhere. And many foreigners all over the world stay here to work. No one is local, just came early or later so so.

    If you hold a bottle of drink when you pass the security, you are usually required to drink at present in case it's a dangerous liquid. If the drink is in your bag which pass through the scan altogether, you don't need to do anything with the drink. Because the scan can detect the nature of the liquid

  • @wanglh
    @wanglh 2 месяца назад

    JayandKarolina The security lady was asking you to give her liquid on you. Water and beverage need to be tested under light or you can drink it to make sure it wasn't dangerous chemical stuff, like strong acid or liquid bomb.

    I am Chinese, first of all welcome you to my magical country, the people here are very friendly, we have a long history, these histories are like rivers constantly depositing the sand and gravel of civilization, educating us that we need to be warm and friendly to our guests, I believe You feel it too, and I hope this trip to China can clear up many misunderstandings. China does not need perfection, but it needs the truth. I hope you have fun and have a safe journey. If anyone still says that you are being sponsored, then what is sponsoring you is only a small gift, which is the warmth, kindness and kindness from thousands of years of civilization.
