I really appreciate how you let the visuals be the narrative while still allowing room to give us your personal perspective, And finally, someone who knows how to properly place English captions where we can see them and long enough so we can read and follow. Well done!
This is a beautiful vlog! I'm planning my first visit to HK next month and you gave me lots of ideas! Thank you. I also love that you include the parts where things didn't go according to your plans, or when you were a bit disappointed with food. That's all part of the traveling experiences. :) Really love your honesty!
I love everything in your vlog! Especially when you switch to cinematic/retro vibe. It’s heartwarming 🥹 I also like your itinerary, not the usual line-up of attractions/activities when visiting HKG. Glad I clicked on your video, makes a good reference for our trip this year! Also love all the food recommendations! Can’t wait to eat in Kam Wah! 😄
One of the best HK silent travel vlog I’ve seen so far ❤ the editing is lit!!! Now I’m more excited for my upcoming. Thanks a lot! I have more places/activities to add to my itinerary 😊
This is my recent travel experience in HK..... most of the casual food items are no doubt way better value than say... US/Canada.... BUT, there was a lot of lifestyle/cultural things to get used to.... let's just say for dining out at places.... no real greeting/smiles....when each food item was being served, just dead silence..... and when you walk out to pay, not a thank-you!!! So basically, most of the patrons are just being treated as invisible... just get in, order, pay and get the F out attitude! LOL.....
Guess you’re not Chinese. Unless you go to a fine dining restaurant, accommodating service and warm greetings are not the norm. We Chinese are use to this. The restaurants and shops prioritize efficiency and transactions over lavish services. Sorry to disappoint.
@@pytube777 well..my parents were HK born so that makes me Chinese too... And I was simply looking for basic basic respect... Let me ask u this though... While dining out in Taiwan, do you have to be at fine dining places to get decent service and attitude?? Pretty damn sure those servers didn't get a cut in the service charge too, if any. That's right... Many different kinds of Chinese yield different levels of hospitality!!
HK isn’t known for their friendly service…wouldn’t you say that they are actually known for the opposite 😅… I can empathise because I’m Chinese Australian so it was quite jarring to be treated so rudely. But after 20yrs of living here I now have reverse culture shock. I find food service in Australia soooo slow and inefficient. I like the fast efficient no fuss approach of HK.
@@naturalisedhker7953another glaring thing I noticed is... Most locals were so anti-social and wouldn't smile back at ya... Really really weird vibes.... I get that a lot of them were affected by the 2019 incidents but hey, if you chose to stay behind gotta move on!! Can't treat others with bitch face forever!!

Thank you so much John! Glad you enjoyed it!😆

@@rakuraku8043 then HK is not your thing. Adjust your expectations and you won’t be disappointed. That’s all. Bet your parents are used to it.
