I like the gingerbread cooking class and the certificate you received. That is very cool. I like the spicy taste of gingerbread...I have a 1951 Russian SKS rifle built in the Tula arsenal. This is the same rifle that the guards of honor carry at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier monument at the Moscow Kremlin Wall. I am very proud of this rifle. It is a real part of Russian History and it is 73 years old....🤍💙❤

Gingerbread cooking class would have been fun. There is a lot to like about the towns of Russia. They hold onto and value traditions that are far better than modern day practice. So much of these traditional arts, crafts, practices are now rare in the west. This value of the traditional is a great trait of Russia. Enjoyed your Tula tour - Thanks.

Lisa, I loved seeing the old original part of the city. The historical stuff fascinates me. I am also happy that you showed us the part of the city that didn't look so good, yet judging from the woodwork we could see and the designs of the places, I imagine that a few decades ago, it looked a lot better than it does today. While I love seeing that they're replacing all of the bad structures with new ones, I oftentimes feel that the new structures don't have as much character as stuff made long ago, but that's just my opinion. I loved seeing you make Gingerbread and am curious, what is the liquid you poured into the middle of it? It's not something I see done here in the States, so I'm curious what it was. Anyway, thank you for showing us more of the country. I know you're heading home soon for a while. I look forward to you showing us all of your favorite places to see when you're back home. Take care and keep smiling!

That's got to be the most interesting vlog you have posted because you manage to include so much detail, facts and nostalgia.
It is a shame that some of the old houses are not being preserved because they open a window into the distant past and how previous generations lived. The same fate happened to most of the siheyuan courtyard houses in Beijing!
It's good to remember our ancestors and also know something about them and where they lived!
Glad that you got back to Moscow safely. 👍

All the Baltic peoples have clean cities (Russians are the Swedish-Finnish people who speak the Slavic language), for example, the Russian city of Kemerovo (in Siberia) ruclips.net/video/84FvalSrlPQ/видео.html . But. Unlike the neighbors of the Finns, Estonians and Swedes, many other peoples of the non-Baltic group live in Russia (they are not so clean), so it is more difficult for Russians to keep order in this sense (thus, if Russia were a mono-national state, it would be much cleaner).

Your courage to walk down these streets is commendable as you showed an obscure side of small town life in Russia.

You make me want visit Russia and buy some of those refrigerator magnets and Tula ginger bread. Thanks for reading story of Tula during the Great Patriot War and showing Red Army memorials and Yuri Gargarin rocket on side of building, I love Russian history , especially of Soviet era as well as the old Russian Golden and Silver age of poetry and literature. Sad to see people living in such trashy old buildings as in USA, but uplifting to know Russia government housing projects replacing trashy pld rundown buildings. Why do you think that Russians in Tyla not smiling is so strange, as I've always heard that Russians don't smile much except when they party or spend time in US? Perhaps the non smiling days were during CCCP times but now are more happy. Beautifully awesome long hair shot on train towards end. Thanks for a very entertaining video.

Lovely nails and lipstick color. Red is my favorite. The breakfast bar at the hotel had a very generous selection to choose from. Maybe the second shower nozzle is to wash your bottom in case it is a bit messy and less than spotless. 😁 How was your cat pie? I've never had cat before.😸😉 I really liked the piano jazz music at the Tula gingerbread tea party statue, and congratulations on your spicy bread making certificate of achievement. Really like your hair at about 19:00 minute mark on your video. I enjoyed the trip to Tula you took us on. ❤🌷

"Its very similar to Vladivostok" - I'm in my 40's and have travelled much of my own country now, and I will say very similar things. I could be in Bend, Oregon and say "this reminds me so much of Flagstaff, Arizona". It is funny that you are a well-travelled person who does the same, even if the comparison is your home town.

14:59 привет из Тулы! Ты же сама из России, поэтому должна знать. Русские не привыкли лыбиться направо и налево, все эмоции в себе. Мы расскрываем душу, ибо улыбка - зеркало души, только перед близкими, родными людьми

Not creepy at all! A peek into the past! When there were local craftsmen decorating homes lovingly and people took time for tea, gingerbread, embroidery and music instead of working to spend their tokens in a franchise mall......What lovely wood carving around the windows! Real log walls on stone foundations (covered up by the next generation with sheet metal?) A pity it cannot be restored. 💗Gorgeous brave men and women keeping the peace for us to enjoy the gift of life. Feel gratitude because they plant the trees for the dining tables of our grandchildren! Smile at them if you feel they need a bit of your pixie dust⭐!

Michael Kors bags used to be made of soft leather but now, most of them are made of a somewhat tough rigit leather.I also don't like the strap on them,it's too sporty,I like it to be more elegant. You are right. But I'm drawn towards Michael Kors.
