The cars you saw in Moscow were probably not old second hand cars from Japan or South Korea but new cars imported via Kazakhstan, Georgia etc. It is a public policy in Russia. The government policy is called Parallel Imports in English - don't know the Russian term. Parallel imports are not counterfeit. The law permits vendors to work exclusively with authentic products obtained through alternative supply channels. I had hoped that as a Russian living in Russia you would know. People having nothing to do with Russia know it from the news and those like me who understands the world would know even if nobody mentioned in any media.
After these cars enter Russian market they may be legalized buy the government but these cars are sold without trademark owner's consent, illegally sold by the 3hd party to Russian vendors. But of course carmakers will not complain because its the money they only care about, they sell more cars and most importantly they have no responsibility at all for 36/60K miles services. Sold illegally, no warranty, its just good business for carmakers
@@rokimarchano5657 The warranty work is done by dealers. If the Kazakh dealer is exporting cars to Russia, he might still offer after sales support. I don't know what is happening, but just saying. The other most likely thing is the old Korean and Japanese dealers inside Russia are continuing to import parts through parallel import and servicing the cars in Russia. Unlike defense equipment, no one will chase car makers for selling cars in Kazakhstan that will end up inside Russia. As for Japanese and Korean second hand cars, they will probably not get any warranty. It is just that Japanese and Korean car owners are getting a higher price when they sell to buy new cars than they used to get before.
@@lisa_with_love I didn't mean to be hard on you. It is just that Western dudes, particularly Americans living in their propaganda bubble can't be expected to think for themselves. Your reference to the cars in Moscow without mentioning parallel import and sanctions busting will misdirect them.
@@urldroidsuperbot2139 Not really the case, the cost at dealership is transferred to car manufacturers by dealer who performed repairs, parts and labor or any other cost that may occur during the repairers. Every car manufacturer in the US/EU is required to provide a minimum 2 years bumper-to-bumper warranty. Last year in April Mazda introduced a 6-year warranty for its new cars sold in the EU, 6 years or 150,000 km whichever comes first, if any of these new Mazda cars end up in Russia via Kazakhstan they will lose these warranties, that’s what I was talking about. Dealers in Russia may offer warranty on these cars but at the end consumer will end up paying for these warranties, that’s why US/EU cars are 15-30% more expensive in Russia than in the US or EU and that’s why now Russian government is cracking down on parallel imports to protect consumers. In May 2022 Russia legalized parallel imports to fill the gap and keep car market from complete collapse but in 2024 the situation is totally different, the market is stabilized and now Russia wants to get rid of it trough commercial utilization fees on vehicle imports into EEU for the purpose of resale meaning businesses have to pay taxes to the destination country. In just few months many car dealers in EEU countries will go bankrupt and honestly, I don’t think Russia is doing this to protect consumers its more like protecting Chinese carmakers and their brands in Russia while getting rid of the US/EU cars for good
I'm a car dealer in America, I want to move to Russia, I wish you did price analysis, but thank you for your great idea you just gave me a business concept, maybe you can do few cars prices later, even about Americans luxury cars like jeep
Hi, I live in Vladivostok and I am very glad that you visited our city. Of course, the weather is not very good at the beginning of summer. But it's beautiful when the sun is outside. Yes, there are a lot of Japanese cars in our city. I have 3 cars :)
@@babon1148 Yes, it's true, there were even 4. Nissan skyline 33, nissan tiida, honda fit, isuzu elf. Skyline is sold, it took a long time, rarely rode. Now it's a doya's car, and I ride it sometimes.
Having worked in the motor industry in the 1990's in the repair side, one of my main concern's is obtaining car parts. See as I know Vladivostok is major hub for importing cars from the far east, what is the Russian brands, Lada and Moskva are doing to fill the void for the other side of Russia? That is a top question that should be answered by them.
You explain the car market in vladivostok so nice and exactly. Its a pitty, that I can not see old russian cars, for example the UAZ Jeep, Volga, GAZ 21 with deer, Moskvich. The new cars looks like all equal, the parts of the car are from one or two world producer. In West Countries we collect such nice old exponats - not only cars, among other things, as historical old russian shares, zars koye Selo Railway, or Morosov Twersk Cattun Manufactur with origin signs of the founder, russian Weapons Mosin Nagant
🌹🎈♥️Happy donut day!🍩🍩🍩 Was the vehicle license plate with AAA and 888 on it a reference to the poker hand Wild Bill Hickok held when he was shot and killed? I had hoped that as a Russian living in Russia you would know.
People having nothing to do with Russia know it from the news and those like me who understands the world would know even if nobody mentioned in any media.
I know about parallel import, in this video I just cover how we do it here in Vladivostok, thanks for watching
In just few months many car dealers in EEU countries will go bankrupt and honestly, I don’t think Russia is doing this to protect consumers its more like protecting Chinese carmakers and their brands in Russia while getting rid of the US/EU cars for good
Hello from Sweden
hello! cheers 🥰🫰
Vladivostok is our land.
Some of these cars are imported from Japan. I can see some left hand drive Honda, Toyota which are available only in Japan.
Hi Lisa
Love from India ♥️😊
I'm a car dealer in America, I want to move to Russia, I wish you did price analysis, but thank you for your great idea you just gave me a business concept, maybe you can do few cars prices later, even about Americans luxury cars like jeep
Hi, I live in Vladivostok and I am very glad that you visited our city. Of course, the weather is not very good at the beginning of summer. But it's beautiful when the sun is outside. Yes, there are a lot of Japanese cars in our city. I have 3 cars :)
3 ? Really? :)
@@babon1148 Yes, it's true, there were even 4. Nissan skyline 33, nissan tiida, honda fit, isuzu elf. Skyline is sold, it took a long time, rarely rode. Now it's a doya's car, and I ride it sometimes.
@@wanderer8701it's nice! How old are you?

Far East drives mostly Japanese, if you in Moscow and western part of Russia you would see a lot of Russian cars 🙏
🌹🎈♥️Happy donut day!🍩🍩🍩
Was the vehicle license plate with AAA and 888 on it a reference to the poker hand Wild Bill Hickok held when he was shot and killed? A poker hand of aces and eights is called the "Dead Man's Hand." Perhaps, despite having the wealth to afford such an expensive vehicle, it didn't buy him happiness and still felt dead inside. It takes more than money to thaw a person's ice cold soul. Or am I reading too much into it? If a cigar is sometimes still just a cigar, maybe a license plate is just a license plate.❤😊🌹🥀
Hello! That is very interesting! It might be a poker sign why not 🕵🤗👍
I’m one of those business men who export Japanese cars and spare parts from Japan to overseas, if you guys are interested to buy used Japanese cars directly from cars Auctions in Japan I can help you with that
