Years ago I travelled to Russia and fell in love with the country, it saddens me so much now how events in the world mean our nations are supposedly not "friends". I pray for the day the world can be lead by adults and I can go and visit Russia again. Thanks for the wonderful videos Eli, love from England.

Yes, Russia is beautiful, it has one disadvantage, there are very few warm regions . And there are no regions with eternal summers like in California at all , there are many long winters .Russia is for the most part a northern country

Every train ride in Russia is like an awesome adventure,in UK only about 4 hours on a train will get you mostly to where you might want to go.

When ocean ice freezes there is almost no salt left in it.
The sleeping train looks so cozy! We have similar older trains in Finland, but now unfortunately mostly newer "modern" trains have replaced them. I was lucky to sleep one time in that older train 😊

Eli, First of all I am so sorry you lost your dad. My favorite video you did was the visit to him, the cat who didn’t want to get his paws frozen and of course the visit to the dairy. I too was raised on a dairy farm. Your content is beautiful, the scenery, the interaction with the locals and in this current the music selection was wonderful. We, the common people, must find a way to tell our governments that we want to live together in peace and end this constant distrust between our peoples. The Russian people are a good people and through your videos I have come to realize that we have so much in common and it’s time to use those commonalities to promote peace and harmony. Your are a beautiful person and have a beautiful soul. Continue your travels and your videos. Know that you are making a difference in your efforts. Bart
People to people contact is only a beginning. The problem of war is resident mainly in the attitudes of the armaments industry because they profit the most, at billions and now trillions of dollars. With them the bankers and the oil companies. Also construction companies who make so much cleaning up the debris and rebuilding cities. Until the big money guys are kept under control as to their greed for money, we the little people will have to continue being victimized by that greed. Holding hands and thinking sweet thoughts isn't good enough.

I would love to see this video in a Winter Film Festival that celebrates winter! It's relatively short and could be watched outside while enjoying hot beverages or maybe inside a ski lodge.

Thnx from North West Canada - love the sound of the train in winter. Russia/the Soviets (sorry, can't tell who did what) developed their north much differently than Canada did - very interesting to compare them. And for your descriptions of the land & water & people.

Absolutely astounding!!!! I lived in Northern Canada for around 4 years growing up and it was an eye opener having lived in our nations biggest cities! Though I prefer the climate of the southern BC lower mainland I am forever captivated with the north!
