I'm a South African living in China for 15 years now. I watched the movie (Leviathon) And visited Murmansk and Teriberka in February 2019. It was awesome watching this video. Brought back so many great memories. And I can see that a lot has changed since I was there in 2019. Much more touristy.

This is such a great showcase of the Russian Arctic! I drove into the Arctic through Finland with my family, we really wanted to go to Murmansk but would've needed visas for Russia... instead we made like 10 circles around a roundabout where we photographed the traffic sign for Murmansk :D I really hope to visit it soon!

It was there that the Merchant Navy cargo vessels and Royal Navy warships secretly assembled ready to make the voyage , often in atrocious weather, to your northern port and to Archangel. The dangers and sacrifices of the crews can only be imagined.
