- Spicy Thai Noodles from the streets of Thailand!
Best substitute for Thai Basil is regular basil (which actually tastes similar to Thai Holy Basil which is traditionally used in Pad Kee Mao!)

I’ve made this multiple times and am obsessed. I’m growing thai basil this summer and I have yet to use it for any other dish but this. So flavourful, so delish, and comes together so easily. Thank you for the gorgeous recipe!
Right?! I've made it 3 times this week and here it is Saturday morning and guess what I'm making 🤪 😋
Whats the difference in flavour?
Try growing holy basil
This is my favorite.Straight to the point video ,thank you 😋
I've watched like 10 videos and this one is definitely straight to the point
I liked the simplicity of your dish. Easy to follow and not complicated to find ingredients 👍👍👍👍👍
This is my go-to pad kee moa recipe! It is better than most Thai restaurants I've tried - and so easy once you've prepped everything!
I've cooked recipes from your website and am glad to have happened on to your channel.
AMAZING! We only had dark soya sauce, so i used that, and added some water. Used bokchoy as well. Thank you !!!
Thank you for this awesome recipe. I made it today and my home became so fragrant! It was better then my local thai takeout. I added more thai chili then the average Joe. Also added cubed tomato, bell pepper, sliced carrots, and broccoli. Used less soy to cut salt. SIMPLY AMAZING!
I’ve tried making pad kee mao a few times using different recipes but this is my fave recipe so far! I added red bell pepper and Chinese broccoli to add more veg
I also used flank steak instead of chicken and to make sure the meat had some flavor to it, I marinated it separately with fish sauce and garlic for about 10 minutes while prepping the other parts of the recipe. I also cooked the noodles and beef separately, using half the sauce for each cook to make sure both the beef and noodles picked up the flavor of the sauce.
Next time though, I think I’ll fry the noodles in the pan for a few minutes to pick up some char before adding in the sauce.
Thanks for the recipe!
That is exactly correct! The noodles should be seared in the sauce to develop flavor and color
Those sounds like great personalizations - thank you for the info! I'm always one who loves to give recipes my own twist, like I'm sure so many other people do, based on my taste preferences, etc. Happy 2024!
Oooh, I’m so glad RUclips sent me here! What a wonderful video and recipe - clear, simple and delicious! Just subscribed 😋
On my list to do! Thank you! Looks wonderful!
I tried this today! The recipe is simple yet sooooo good! Really really good!😋🤩😍 Thank you!
Love the quick easy to follow video. Thanks!!
Tried it this evening and it did not disappoint! Super quick and very tasty.
I'm going try this tonight. Looks delicious 😋 and simply to make
Best and quickest recipe out there!! 🙌👏
Great simple recipe. Thanks! I like more veggies for a regular dinner so I add, Gailan (Chinese Broccoli in U.S.), Bok Choy or Baby Spinach, what's fresh in my local NYC market.
I made this the other week with this recipe but added carrots and zucchini, it was delicious!
Amazing...simple technique made my first dish thank you with love from america..
I would love to make this. It looks so yummy
This looks fantastic - and similar to a dish I love. It's called Crazy Noodles at our local Thai restaurant. The best way I can describe it is - Pad Thai but much spicier, and without the "sweetness" I find in most Pad Thai. No peanuts either, but loaded with basil and spices. Fantastic -thank you for sharing - I've been looking for something like this.
Probably the same thing but they got tired of telling people there's no alcohol in it.
I made this yesterday and oh wow it's better than what i buy at the restaurant :) Thank you. :)
I will be making it, and it looks so delicious! 😋
Had no idea it’s so simple! My husband loves this, definitely going to try it especially so i can control the heat and have a taste myself 😅
I was obsessed with Pad Thai noodles until I discovered Pad Kee Mao a couple of weeks ago. Literally the best noodles of my life. It's like they are an extension of the meat. One of the best things I've ever tasted.
It looks DELICIOUS!!! I am making it tonight. Yummy!
So good. Turned out great.
Y'all kilt the game with this one. 🙏🏾
Thank you! Been looking for easier recipes.
just made it and it was delicious!
Had this at a place in Wichita Kansas called Thai Traditions. Best ever and I want to eat it every day.
Thank you for the recipe!
That looks so delicious 😋
I first tried Thai food, specifically drunken noodles with my girlfriend (who is of half Asian descent) in 2016. I love this dish.
I love thai recipe, this recipe is so yummy
Hands down easy and full of flavor! You can buy one of those rotisserie chickens at the supermarket to make a 15 minute dinner!!
This is sensational! Thank you :)
Great video! It was very interesting to watch 👍 Thank you for sharing with us! May Allah prosper to your channel
So easy, thank you for this vid
Thus looks fantastic.
Hi there. We just made this. It is the best Pad Kee Mao recipe we found so far....its as good as this Thai restaurant we'd go to in downtown San Francisco. Thank you so much for sharing.
Looks so delicious~!
!!! My best friend, Great... We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks Have a happy day! Keep it up! +thumb up3!
I had to improvise using sriracha chili paste and regular basil because my local grocery store struggles, but it was so good! I will definitely make it again!
El sabor es parecido si lo hago con albahaca normal? Acá en mexico no la encuentro 😢
Sí, ¡la albahaca normal también funcionará!@@klizcervantes2195
Amazing
Love it
YES. I am making this tonight
Just made this but with shrimp and broccoli and capsicum and wow it was actually so delicious! So I guess I don't need to order it from a restaurant anymore.
My favorite..❤
I am 41 Had vietnamese food for the first time the other yesterday now it's all I can think of.
Looking for suggestions. I have a shellfish/seafood allergy.what could I sub oyster sauce with to keep a nice flavor to the recipe?
This is my husband's FAVORITE PAD KEE
Great video, just shows me what i'm looking to find out- no bullshit wasting my time
Gosh my mouth! Closed but so much water! 🤣😍 I'd be drooling like a huge dog if it was open.
i follow this recipe, its so damn good my friends love it.
Nice 👍
Thanks.
Yes yes yes yes!!
Looks easy enough...
Can I substitute frozen seafood mix for chicken? Would I need to make adjustments?
You didn't show what kind of noodles or how to prep/handle it
So damn good!
🎉 súper easy. Thank you. Now I just gotta find a not so stinky fish sauce.
Can you recommend a replacement for Thai basil? Can't get it where I am. Or should I just leave it out?
OMG that looks so good can you send me some.Lol 😛
What type of noodles are you using thanks , where to buy it thanks
I made this tonight and it was delicious! My boyfriend loved it!
I made this with a different recipe but the rice noodles turned mushy. How did you prepare the noodles?
@@mercedezize soak them in hot water. There should be information on the package for how long.
Does it work with Udon noodles or pasta ? Thanks !
I've never seen Thai basil in the store. Also the noodles are hard to find. There are no Asian markets near me.
Impressive length.
how to boil these noodles?
That was so easy peezy omg
You added food colouring.
So hard to grow Thai basil. It never survives for me!😂
Can someone give me some measurements please I’m a little lost😅
I'm gonna make this soon. A few years ago I did a test recipe of Drunk Man Noodles, except I couldn't find fresh flat noodles so I had to use Pad Thai noodles instead,
in a huge wok I've had for years--came out fantastic! Fresh noodles, like fresh pasta, are that much better, though. I just wanted to see if I could do Asian cuisine, and I did. I'm no
Gordon Ramsay, but I did ok. It's spectacularly easy, prepping takes a lot more time than the cooking. You almost cannot screw it up, even if you turn the heat off towards the end and just stir it up, you have to really work at it to burn it. The wok is better, since it heats up well, fast, and is tailor made for stir frying/sauteeing everything rapidly. I had more experience making Cajun food at home. This is really my fave Thai dish, so I I'm going to do this up soon as I can go get all the ingredients. Curries, I think, take more practice, a bit more delicate than this type of noodle dish.
There a few Indian and Asian markets in L.I. NY that have some of the more esoteric ingredients, but more in Queens or Manhattan, I believe. I don't recall using Thai basil as I couldn't
find it at the time.
Lord the speed lol
Is it spicy
What kind of noodles are they?
Looks good but...one thing is missing:
fresh peppercorns (green ones)
Whats the oil you use..
Helpful tube for ingredient list, but outcome lacked any desirable rationalization.
Missing the Bok Choi but looks amazing anyways.
Wat noodles u hv used here?
No egg thou?
Where is the finger root and green peppercorns?
I know this recipe with Krachai roots, has anybody else seen this before?
I wanna try this but I need measurements lol I don’t see it
Wait nvm I found them lol
Which sauce would go well with Dunken noodles?
it's already a saucy dish.
Hummmmm
I don't have a wok😔
You don’t give the measurement of the ingredients you used!
There is a recipe link in the description.
Mouth watering lip smacking deliciousness. Cant wait to try
Cool song
Man I always thought there's alcohol in it 🤣
I add shrimp instead of chicken
No eggs?
Damn
Thanks for not starting with a 10 min story time
You dont show what kind of noodle to use and how to prepare them before adding in the wok
chotunab normally they use a wide rice noodle, sometimes sold in sheets, to be cut about 1” wide. I found the fresh sheets at the Asian store. You can sub Pad Thai rice noodles which are thinner, but easier to find.
Exactly! Smh
The chicken was not cooked
It's cooked, she just edits and shortens all of her videos to get to the point 😊
