Fantastic review! More reviews of popular Mainstream products please! While I’m not in the market for this, I really enjoying listening to your opinion on this popular headset. You can also give alternate recommendations at the end of the video or a comparison to the mobius or whatever you feel is appropriate to compare it to. There is a sea of gaming headphones and it’ll be great to know an audiophile gamer’s opinion on the popular ones.
Got these a couple of years back. With just slight adjustments to the EQ through the Steelseries app these headphones end up sounding great for pretty much any content you can throw at them. Only issue with them is that the headband keeps stretching and you have to keep adjusting its length to add tension back into it. Unfortunately, I've adjusted it so much now that it has gone out of the range of the rather small velcro pads and have to stick the pointy end directly on the band itself. Somehow, it holds but I'm thinking of stitching or stapling the band to permanently reduce its length. I also have the issue with my ears touching the inside of the pads. Aside from that, they have been working great.
hi, i bought them and returned them as i couldn't wear them for too long as they were too tight for me, can you mention some audiophile headphones with the same imaging quality for gaming (fps games)? maybe do a video on using audiophile headphones for gaming with specific models. i have the sony mdr,akg 702 (imaging is bad) the hyperx cloud 2 but the imaging doesn't come close to the steel series.
I got these for my birthday and they are not as good as my wired Hyper X Clouds I've had for a while now : ( Even with EQ settings, Warzone footsteps and audio direction is just not good enough.
Loudness compared to distance.. exactly. COD is very forgiving in stage, can use any headphone.. you shouldn't need to get used to it. The entire Arctis series is pretty well hated in competitive circuits because it simply sucks.
I can only speak for myself, but I have the Arctis 7 Wireless (2019) and they were so bad, I wouldn't even use them if I got them for free. They were absolutely horrendous out of the box. These need to be EQ'd and even with EQ it sounds pretty bad. The mic is another level of bad, but I don't think there's another bluetooth "gaming" headset out there with a decent mic. Connection and battery life was solid though.
@@marco9810 It’s great for that! It’s unbelievably amazing for a wireless pair of gaming headphones with great imaging and decent clarity. You shouldn’t see any particular distortion above 50% audio. It’s not THX level amplification, but pretty close to linear man. Just make sure you keep it charged or the indicator will make it unusable.
These. They are ridiculously comfortable and I feel like these are much better for music as well as gaming. I have found with the g Pro x that the clamping force is harsh and noticable, and i found I would get headaches in under an hour.
I saw a lot of this nonsense back when wireless mice were new and now even esports players use them during tournaments. Most of the streamers I watch now use wireless headsets and are at the top of their game. Meanwhile, the only people still hung up about what "real gamers" do and don't are low level RUclips and reddit commenters.
@@krazyfrog No one is hung up on what pro gamers use, its a fact that wired headphones are better with zero latency, no unexpected flat battery, better and bigger choose of better quality headphones as well as the ability to use superior dacs and amps. and the only reason (some) gamers use wireless mice (very few good ones do) and/or wireless headphones is their sponsors need to make money , so the next time your battery goes flat on your mouse or headphone right in the middle of your game think of me . cheers
Hmm Sponsor sell out? been there done that, muddy pieces of overpriced crap. Can improve them & they took my suggestion the released the Arctis Pro based on it. (Not joking considering time frame from support messages). Don't waste your money.
Not a sponsored video. We bought this headset because we know Chrono is a gamer and we want to start reviewing more gaming headphones. This is his honest take.
Holy crap chrono is good at FPS games... kids getting REKT everywhere.
Pwning nubs at every corner
How does this headphone compare to the Sony 1000XM4?
Comfort? These are the most comfortable headphones ever and my head is a little big. And breathable cups are a must
You’re killin it. THESE skills... and hey, thank you for the review.

How is the bass while listening music?
You can buy new straps
Coming from an audiophile perspective, now I don't regret having purchased a pair of these, thank you, I'm subscribing!.
This review is great, you are not biased whether you are sponsored or not and you seem like you are being genuine
Don't forget the mute light while charging pulses to show it's charging and turns off when fully charged.
When he said, "..who, like me have a slightly larger head"
I felt that
You're alive Chrono?! Jk, good to see you back!

if those headphones make me half as good as you, they're a bargain
3:05 very true
You guys should do the Audeze Penrose.
Using it on my ps5
Love the headset
Yo I'm thinking about buying these for ps5. 7P's sold out. How you like em?
@@Trillberto my friend has the 7P, im using 7 the sound quality is the same, the only difference is the wireless transmitter
@@Trillberto just make sure the DTS on 7 is turned off via steelseries engine. if ur using it on ps4 and ps5
@@nico4132 thanks. Definitely buying
@@nico4132 yeah ps5. Anything else?
Should've reviewed the Arctis Pro, that's the one they claim is "HiFi" and all
Will you test the Audeze Penrose?
Great review

Can I use the wireless for my xbox
Can you use the wireless usb dock with ps5?
I got these for my birthday and they are not as good as my wired Hyper X Clouds I've had for a while now : ( Even with EQ settings, Warzone footsteps and audio direction is just not good enough.
My battery is full, but the led on in yellow color...how turn it to green????

It's been out for a minute tho.
@@YoYo-uh3xj what do you mean its out?

So you gotta buy their cord for 20$
I use android and ps4 still (boomer here) so no problem for me there

Would u lose out on a lot of u go for the Arctis 7 instead of the 7p ,with the ps5

Is it normal for the right cup to do 360s? 😅
LMAO
Bro what 😂😭
Can you use any transmitter on them my transmitter won’t turn on anymore.
Must say,- I really enjoy mine.
Gaming headphones are so bad in measurements...
Are these plug and play on ps5 ? As I have no access to a PC or Laptop ?
Yep.
do these support ps5 3d audio?
Do these headphones support surround sound on the Ps5
Yes, they support surround sound and 3D audio on the PS5

TL;DW SHP9500 + V Moda boom pro is still better.
There are a ton of options better than any wireless headset.... But for wireless these are pretty good.
@@Nonx47 Hyper X cloud Flight S is around the same price and better in every way, except maybe the pads.
@Telephone Tales just loosen it then by stretching it.
Beep
Beep
Beep...
No seriously you better keep this thing charged, because its low battery indicator is enough to make you cry and yell...
What about the audio? Is it good for watching movie/series. Oh and i heard that above 50% of the audio gets distorted..... is that true?

Should I turn off 3D audio on ps5 to get better imaging? Or is 3d audio actually beneficial as opposed to dtx surround that works on pc.
I turn it on for specific games that use Sony’s tempest 3D audio support like demon’s souls or Spider-Man
Black ops uses is it too but idk if it actually helps with imaging
Do these headphones have surround sound on the Ps5 or support it ?
Leave the 3d audio ON
Just turn off the arctis 7 DTS in steelseries engine if ur using on ps5/4
