People never listen to the lyrics and that's why they think all of her songs are sad.
Right!
Yasss
they're not depressing they're about love
Lilian Barahona depressing is not the same as sad. They are kind of depressing... to some extent (well the atmosphere definitely is.)
How is depressing not the same as sad? Can a song be happy and depressing?
This is the definition of Summer 2014
MxxnLigght So much memories With this album 💖
2014-15 for me
This is the definition of Summer. Every year.
IKR
MxxnLigght IT IS. Summer 2014 was amazing
I feel sad because Brooklyn Baby didn't get a music video. I mean, it should be a single for sure.
do you know why it didn't get a video? It's one of my favorite tracks from the album
BLURRYFACE the label probably thought it didn't have commercial appeal enought for the radios. like what!? or lana prefered not to, what I think it's pretty hard, because this song is gold. Anyway,,, we'll never know.
AlanG. It didn’t get a video because Lou Reed was supposed to be in the mv but the day he got to NY to make the video with Lana he unfortunately passed away... so sad
I’m pretty sure the Brooklyn Baby unreleased music video was shown inside this album trailer (0:54 “I’ve got feathers in my hair”)
@@facciodanny8093 I think the same and I guess that some part of Brooklyn Baby is in this video.
ULTRAVIOLENCE IS THE BEST ALBUM OF LANA
+Eric Marc Martin amen
agree
accurate
honeymoon is bad ):
THIS IS NOT A DRILL
EDIT: Ultraviolence and Honeymoon is the best album of Lana. I'm so in love with Honeymoon now.
Ultraviolence: greatest masterpiece to ever exist, even better than born to die. Ultraviolence is defiantly a 1000/10. Such a dark beauty. Hopefully there will be a darker album than this in the future.
Daisy Babees well there’s no dark albums anymore, and it’s for the best
Well nfr is amazing as expected but I would give anything for another album like ultraviolence
Honeymoon is darker
Ultraviolence is the best album of the life.

Brooklyn Baby needs a video, like.. NOW!
+Maria Luisa Cunha All songs of UV and Honeymoon need a video
She make art
NICOLÁS ENCISO NÚNEZ That's true!
***** you got a gangster's heart!
Jaja
All lana's songs should have a video!
***** sady :(
+Maria Luisa Cunha D1etpussy probably has one
Is anyone else obsessed with Cruel World?
yes!! the album is great but Cruel World is my favorite song
Obsessed with all yer songs in general :) :)
Yep
Im young
Im wild
Im free
So yeah I am :b
It's so underrated
I really hope they make a video for Old Money.
I want it to be a single. It would do really well if they pushed it.
Antonio Rivera I think it's better than west coast, I love west coast but I actually think they're all better than west coast.
Don't forget Florida Kilos and Gun N Roses. I have this picture of what a Guns And Roses video could be but unfortunately it can't come true since I'm not around Lana/can't contact her and tell her my idea.
How about the whole album :)) But Old Money should have a video it's just so beautiful
Rupaul I'm an upcoming singer who would love to work with someone who has great ideas...
It amazes me how much songs can bring back so many memories
I feel you. But this album for me... brings back memories I dont want to relive ever.
It's such a throwback to the 60s and 70s
Chris Bowers same D: 2014 was a terrible year with good music
oh yeah.. brings the nostalgic and a lil bit sad feeling
Saya Minatsuki for me , depression...
Money power glory makes my heart tear up
I love that song so much.
It makes me turnt
It gives me confidence for some reason.
mitten mae SAME
It's the song I listen to the most on the album. #loveit
okay transition between ultraviolence and brooklyn baby gets me every time
Ikr!!!
This album will forever have one of the most special positions in my heart. It's so dark and beautiful. It's sad that most of the people want her to do more of mainstream stuff. She's a gem. Why destroy her vision and authentic creativity? This is one of the most authentic albums along with Born This Way by Lady Gaga out there.
+Lian Ryans I agree. It's because people are so short-sighted and out of touch that they want something that would sell like crazy because they want to pander it to the mainstream and that's something that we know that Lana would never do. LDR is awesome because she won't let anyone tamper her authentic creativity.
Agreed, although I think that ARTPOP is more authentic than Born This Way.
Actually this is not the most authentic.... Her producer pushed her to go through the places she's been with this album... She did this because she was forced and that went great. Don't know how to feel about it tho.
OMG couldn't agree more. Ultraviolence and Born This Way are my absolute all-time favourite albums. The darkness and depth of each transports you to THAT dimension, urgh beautiful.
The rock sound doesnt suit her
I wish lana made the whole album a visual album and all the MV can be on a VHS Camcorder. This was my favorite album / era but I'm sad she ended this era really quickly.
brett talton all the uv videos were the same lol that woulda been hella boring tbh
+Joey Costilla honeymoon is a visual album lol you're right. It tells a story and even the vinyl record and everything the pictures and the melodies everything is romantic, it tells a story.
Who’s here during Chemtrails era?! Teaser released today!
Ops!
we are in blue banister era and still so perfect and wonderful
Ultraviolence era was perfection!
This era really took a toll on her :/
I'll just never forget when this dropped. I'll never get tired of this era, this album, this vibe. I feel like a different part of me was born when this dropped and yes that sounds dramatic af but idc. It was so new and raw and exactly what I needed at that time in my life.
Definitely my favorite Lana album
Same
YASSS
Mauro Molero Guy are you brazilian?
Imo, Ultraviolence is way better than Born To Die. I'm getting sick of all the hate on Lana because she's not making Born To Die 2.0 and "she's not cool anymore". I feel like I'm gonna love Honeymoon even more.
preach. btd was amazing. ultraviolence was breathtaking and now Honeymoon is gonna be godly. I can't fucking wait.
Born to Die was a great album, especially with the song Ride. However, Ultraviolence was a majestic masterpiece!
+Chris Bowers sooooo what do you think of honeymoon? I think it beat born to die but not ultraviolence, never omg I don't think any album will beat ultraviolence
I think honeymoon was sooo dope, but ultraviolence was a bit better. I just love lana and i love all her music that she puts out.
+Chris Bowers Same Baby💖💖💖
Ultraviolence, Old Money, Brooklynn Baby, and Cruel Word
Yes! Those songs are perfect but I should add West Coast & Black Beauty as well :)
west coast is gorgeous, i have yet to hear black beauty!
And money power glory ❤️👌
and Is This Happiness
And every song from the album

Fucked my way to the top
Florida Kilos is so different I like it so much, and Black Beauty is so wonderful makes me cry :')
Thet're my faves too!
But also Old Money
I forgot West Coast
still waiting video on Brooklyn Baby xd
+Cheyo FR SAMEEEE
I remember when this album came out, I was obsessed with this trailer and still have a special place in my heart
this era had so much potential and she just forgot to promote the album and make epic videos...
Pedro Cajeira she didn’t forget... a lot of shit happened in the background.. most of this footage was never used because the label said it had too much drug use. Also, judging by these lyrics alone you can tell she wasn’t in the best mental space at that time in her life. But either way the music is what matters most.
It's so nice to see positive comments on Lana's music for a change. All of her albums are so controversial based on a superficial pop-culture reference. But her music represents a visit to a dark fantasy land where everything that seems so pleasurable is so bad. Her music lets you escape to a world where lust and opulence trump logic and reality. She is truly one of the most exquisite song writers of our generation.
ultraviolence still is and will always be my favorite album of her
still?
Florida Kilos and Old money is my shit 😘
Swear to God😢😢😢😂😂😂❤❤❤
It's 2021 and I miss this so much
Don't get me wrong, I still love Lana and everything that she does
but
This album made me feel something that no other piece of music has ever made me feel!
I just put that comment here and hope to find others who feel this too
an album touched by the gods, I have never seen so much beauty in few minutes. Tom, from France
@@toml1434 Hello Tom from France, you're absolutely right!
@@chryssapsom1481 you get a friend in France!
I agree , no music has ever touched my heart like every song from ultraviolence did. Miss this type of music so much
there is no way of describing how in love i am with Brooklyn Baby
oh wow Elizabeth has the most wonderful voice !!!
agree
*Lana
Zahnia Richardson real name-Elizabeth Woolridge Grant .
i know what her real name is. 😂
angelina christine cause when she wrote it she didn't know yet. now stop embarrassing her :)
this teaser still gives me life . all the snippets and cuts intertwined with the songs god I miss the uv era so much
Watching this after seeing the honeymoon sampler
Same. Your profile pic is art btw
I like your profile picture. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
thaaaanks, yours is cool too!!
Watching this after the Lust for Life trailer
*This is my favorite album of all time*
THE BEST ALBUM EVER
how is no one talking about Sad Girl ?! I LOVE THAT !! ❤️
+Jose Naula OMG YES my fav song
I wish these videos had been released
It makes me so sad to think this Ultraviolence era and persona she's created is already over. Ultraviolence is my favorite and I was hoping there would be many more music videos and other promotions like she did with Born to Die and Paradise.
The footage is actually what West Coast was supposed to be like, but Lana had to cut most of it out
+Gavin McCabe what ? how do you know that ?
Tin Cole Lana talked about it in an interview, I forget which interview, but she said there was drug use etc in the original video that her label didn't like so it had to be cut out, but she ended up recording a more simpler and surreal video which we got
Gavin McCabe
thank you
it's 2019 but i'll say it again: brooklyn baby deserved a video
I m sooooooo in love with this album
cant wait for honeymoooon :3
Same OMG
samanta veliz S E P T E M B E R
samanta veliz honeymoon !!!!!!!
God I'm just gonna make a time traveler to teleport into september
Lust for life
She should have made music videos for every single song on this album, including 'Is This Happiness' and 'Flipside' two of her most underrated songs. This era came and went in the blink of an eye.
Idk why.... I will nvr evr ever get bored of lana.. Like ever!!
I really do have that s-s-summertime sadness. I listen to Lana to deal with it
Who are you talking to? No one cares what you listen to O_o
Edit: The poster's original comment was telling us "I listen to Lana; deal with it!". He just changed it.
*****
Eh.. nobody, just typing away on my smartphone as I chill back in my comfortable office chair listening to music.
*****
I find it amusing that you know absolutely nothing about me.
WTF am i missing something here, what is with all the hate towards the writer of this innocent comment!!
teallaidh
I honestly have no idea. I was mad at first, but now it's kind of funny. I'm just a dude ( who owns a home, not a basement dweller) posting sappy comments and I get attacked!
I hope we get a Honeymoon album trailer. The honeymoon snippets are pure art and the live acapella of honeymoon sounds so pure.. I can't wait.
Honeymoon album trailer out tomorrow
+Lizzy Grant out today
honestly my favorite trailer
Lana is the best can't stop listening to every little second of ultraviolence :3
Money, Power, Glory!! my favorite song out of them all!!!
same here it's so good.
Ultraviolence was a work of art. I hope this album is never forgotten. Best work Lana has ever done.
THE ALBUM IS LIFE
I miss this era tbh it was a blessing to be alive during that time. Love her to death ❤
i dont miss this era, and u should be disgusted for writing this comment
this is album is so earie sometimes its so soothing to my ears but at the same time its giving me head aches but i like it
I Think I'll Never forget this album When I listened to it first I Was like "huuuum it's really good" but I wasn't expected to still listening to it in 3 years and here I am. I love this album more years after years and now it s a part of my life.
yes.. yes it's the best album.
I feel the message she's trying to sell to us in masses in this album is a really fucked up sad one.. But that's why I love her, she keeps things real.
the album's message is not dark, you just have to listen to the words and the way she's saying them really close, like some people think that ultra violence is about wanting violence and liking being in an abusive relationship. well its not! its about ignoring the faults of the people you love, and like just like when you love someone no matter what they do you'll only keep loving them more, as they say. love is blind.
A G
I agree, also thumbs up for your comment...tough it is a dark place Lana is talking about-may I say,I need an abyss around me to do my art.And that is why songs come up so sad at first, superficial listening-it's the vibe they give off...message is a hard thing to discuss when it comes to good art like this-because message in good art seems different to every person, each listen.I feel it in my world,as a student and a girl....someone feel it as an old man,in his world.
Accidentally came across some of my mum's Christmas shopping, could see the ultraviolence vinyl in the hmv bag (meaning she must have purchased a record player too)...IM SO EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS NOW!!!
The nostalgia 😭😭😭
Happy birthday to ultraviolence
am I the only one whose obsessed with "Old Money"? I think its amazing but not very popular!!
Me too!
And if you call I'll run run run
If you change your mind I'll come come come💜💜
Now waiting for norman fucking rock well, i feel so nostalgic
I miss the time when Lana used to make trailers for her albums
Lana del rey you will always be my religion.
Seriously this album makes me wanna go to Santa Monica beach and twirl around in a circle near the coast
Money , power , glory omg lana did it so good this album is my fav eveeeeent
This era was just pure gold. I miss it. A lot.

she was so ahead of her time, this is so iconic!!! 🔥🔥🔥
i love this video make me feel so electric !
This album is perfection.
Happy 3rd Anniversary to this masterpiece.
iconic to this day. Summer album for the rest of my life
Lana’s ultraviolence era was top tier.
*ULTRAVIOLENCE*
I love the chord progressions and tempo changes throughout this album, what a beautiful masterpiece made by such a creative, smart and talented artist.
THIS ALBUM IS STILL LEGEND
HER BEST ALBUM
While I enjoy Lust for Life and the new direction Lana's world has taken but there is something too monumental, too beautiful that was achieved with Ultraviolence that I think, she will always try to emulate in someway or the other. It feels like an era gone by in a cool, breezy haze.
It’s 2018 and this is still the best album of all time
the biggest mood
This is the album I would have wished to get music videos from every song. I still hope Lana will release an album which has an music video from every song.
A goddess born among this earth.
this girl is pure talent, love her man, she gets better and better with every album
2014... Legend album..💫🖤
this album is fucking perfect
Her best album, NFR! can sit
wo-woah wait, they both are amazing
My favourite era 🖤
I need to leave a mark here- I was here, this album right here defined my life ...it is that close to me.
still can't get over this masterpiece i feel so nostalgic whenever i listen to the album (which i do everyday lol) or watch this video it instantly takes me back to 2014 which was my favorite year i wish i could go back in time but anyways happy birthday ultraviolence i will love you till the end of time 🖤🥀
This album should have won a grammy
Still get chills watching this ahhh
Ultraviolence, the song, is one of my all-time favourites.
Incredible atmosphere.
If i could honestly listen to one album forever it would be this, i love it way too much! So good to see Lana's true feelings come out ^^
I love this musical vibe of Lana Del Rey!!!!!!
This is my favorite album.
But this album and Honeymoon are in the same tier in my opinion. Her best albums.
Pure art!
First album I buy in 10 years. Pure beauty.
