    Hugo from TrueRC makes these antennas. I've always had a better experience with his antennas than stock. Picked up some of these antennas for my new v2 goggles, so looking forward to testing them as well. Appreciate you taking the time to provide some data about them!

    To me this is the best way to do a true range test is an urban area to see how strong the signal really is great job 👏

    I spent all day looking at those. You saved me $100 since I don't even have the drone, I'm just flying air units. Like and subscribe just for those 2806 arms!! Thank you sir, going to your store now.

    I picked some up and can't really tell a difference as they both have crazy range. I saw from Quad Standard Labs that they output 2.4 and 5.8 at the same time which means you can fly air units or DJI FPV without software switching between the two bands which is kind of cool. That's useless for me at the moment because I just keep all my other quadcopters bound to the V1 goggles with TrueRC X-airs on it which have been fantastic with range and reliability. For the smaller form factor I will keep them but unless I switch and bind all my air units to the V2 goggles it was a pointless buy for me mostly. Nice review!

    Thank you for posting, so I see you have a better foam padding for the DJI v2 goggles then stock ones, does it help with vision , meaning my old DJI 1ts googles for my DJI pro where so close to my eyes I have to put cheater glasses on to see, and it looks like the new padding you have pushes the frame a little more away from the eyes maybe making it better to see ? Without using glasses, could you give me your input on that please and where did you get the better padding, thank you

    Have u done a test by just getting buildings and trees between you and the drone without the distance?. I assume it would be the same kinda results. 1000 ft more is great

    I bought 4 TrueRC antennas even though I was quite skeptical. From my house, in a straight line, my DJI FPV reached 2.6Km. Now it reaches 3.5km with 75% signal and I already have to turn around for the battery. In short, I have a lot more signal range than my batteries allow. The TrueRC are amazing.

      I have no problems with trees. But if the drone is behind a mountain or even a large rock, the signal is lost immediately

    Awesome! I just picked up a pair rather than all four. Try 2 Truerc on top, and the 2 DJI on the bottom. Thanks for the video. Also just my humble opinion, but while the video quality on the phone is nice, that fake portrait mode thing you got going on looks real bad. Its always blurring huge parts of your goggles, antennas, head, arm edges, etc. Would look better without. Not a criticism of you tho, love the vid.

    Nice test! Which version of this set are needed to work with the DJI FPV drone? LHCP or RHCP?

    • @evilfpv
      @evilfpv 3 года назад +3

      "The DJI FPV Drone has a linear polarization (neither LHCP nor RHCP). This means that either LHCP or RHCP will be an equal upgrade to the stock antennas on the goggles. If you also use the DJI FPV V2 Goggles with the DJI FPV Air Unit (DJI Digital FPV System), you need LHCP antennas assuming you did not swap to RHCP antennas on the Air Unit or Caddx Vista. If you purchase RHCP and use it with the stock DJI Air Unit antennas (LHCP) there will be greatly reduced signal performance. Never cross - polarize RHCP and LHCP."

    • @TheMadmacs
      @TheMadmacs 3 года назад

      @@evilfpv i never thought of that, i noticed that these look like rhcp on the 5.8ghz bit on top?, slope up to the right is rhcp.

    • @RaffaelloKWOS
      @RaffaelloKWOS 3 года назад

      @@evilfpv yes DJI FPV has linear on both polarization. Two antennas horizontal and two vertical. Also the controller has two sets of antennas for both polarizations.
      You need to use linear polarization antennas for the goggles and not circular.

      that's what i'm thinking. I'm the dummy who bought 5.8 antennas for V2s, still new to all this and learning, so I was excited to see someone made 2.4/5.8 as well.
      But it doesn't sound like they made that big of an improvement over stock. Not for that price.
