You can buy the lathe here ( amzn.to/3OfBcmN ) it's the cheapest one on amazon, let me know if you find it cheaper on there, and ill update the link! We get paid a % if you use our link!
I got this as a present a few years ago, while of course of not the greatest quality with a few modifications it's been good to make little chess pieces and small wooden mechanical parts for various projects.
For someone making miniature furniture, dolls, model parts (IE Small stuff) it the right size. The fact that you have to Kludge it to work is just added value. lol

Oh BTW the sawdust and shavings? Mix with a binder and press it into logs, bricks, boards, etc (even molded shapes) .. job done.
Maybe good for making pens or parts for other small hobby stuff (trains)
Dude grew a beard overnight
I thought about buying a slightly more expensive version with a blue paint spray paint but it’s absolutely tiny seeing it in video😂
Can anyone tell me when the collet is in its closed position, what is the smallest drill bit size it can hold tightly?
Very small
I wonder how many ppl lost their eyes to this little killer
Ahem, no one seems to do this. Turn the tool rest around?
If you turn the tool rest around it becomes too close to the wood.
@@SciencewithGreg so someone did try it! Yay. Dang though.
You could cut the notch further along where the tool rest is secured to allow a larger range of movement.
I bent the tool rest such that it's closer in the normal position and further away when turned around. seems to work decently.
Used one of these with small improvements for small tools handles using normal lathe gouges. The gouges that came with this lathe are trash.
have you already given it away?
We've recycled it for an upcoming project !
Hey u can send it my way i would love to have it
