I won the Halloween episode in 2019 and the judges joked about giving me a fake ID with the 10k but it got cut out of the episode
Oh shit, a real forged in fire champion right before me, congrats sir. Pretty sure that was your weapon in the doug montage, some epic shit right there
Oh ya I saw you in it
Oh, badass!
Heck yeah dude! Good job and thanks for being a part of o e of my favorite shows.
They film it in Stamford right?
The episodes should have ended with the contestants fighting to the death with their weapons.
Just saying dueling never should've been banned. Think about the awesome content we would've got out of it
I mean there is forged in fire knife or death which is similar but not really
They could and would milk that so much. Really tho, provide some protective gear, set some ground rules, and that could've been really fun
It would've been a great rpg and maybe a battle for the cash price
@@jellyjohn7881 bloody hell
I think the funniest part about this show is that during the Veterans special, the dude from the Navy had a hat with I think had the Navy Emblem on, which they blurred out. On the veteran special.
Probably a copyright problem
On the veteran special.
The show has problem when some of their contestants flex their veteran background on interviews, but they blur any military and navy emblem, hmm makes sense?
@@rdu239 Military logos are copyrighted. God forbid the show pays the military to use their logo... on a veteran's special
It's hard to believe but it is strictly forbidden for the US Army/Navy service marks to be reproduced in any shape or form without the approval of the military service trademark licensing office, and this includes reproducing it via showing it on television.

It is so dramatic that I do not consider myself watching it. Cos it will kill.

@@x4242x he says kill and keal but in different times like he says keal when he chops the animal carcass and kill when they have the replica of the human body
Lets make a petition to add Doug Marcaida in Mortal Kombat 11
Edit: his intro would be like:
Doug: are you ready for me to test your weapon?
Blacksmith: go on.
Victory pose:
Doug: *casually aproaches blacksmith * about your weapon, overall, it will keal.
Fatality:
Rock music starts playing and Doug begins cutting the oponent in pieces.
Doug: your weapon is amazing, it will keal
this is honestly the few competition tv shows that are actually good
it rivals Total Drama
aye idk total drama was pretty pog
Thats because
1. You cant just fake blacksmithing. It is nigh impossible.
2. The challenges make each episode unique, and worth checking out.
And 3. Blacksmithing in of itself is so interesting.
I just watched one of the episodes on Netflix.
I know nothing about blacksmiths and stuff.
I laughed the whole time cause of how serious the whole cast was.
Also one guy started doing “light exercise” (push ups in the anvil, WHY?)
He also said he needed to “quench” the knife. He proceeded to put it in between two pieces of wood and sit on it.
EDIT:
The same guy also said “I made the same mistake last time. I dOnT tHiNk I lEaRnEd My LeSsOn?!?!”
Doesn’t sound that funny, but the timing was PERFECT.
I agree
@@generalwashingtoad6516 How do you even fake blacksmithing making a toy sword would sound something like it but its impossible so I'll agree with that
A show that single handedly shifted the entire kiln industry.

Guys why don’t the forge dude make a crafting table that way the contestants build a sword

I watch this show on TV, & I watch clips of it on RUclips all the time, yet I never get it in my recommended. I guess Susan's jealous because her sword broke in the strength test.
Her sword cant keal💀
You know, you don't have to watch what's recommended, or not watch what's not recommended. Secret feature that RUclips doesn't want you to know about, but you can actually use the search function for subjects or even specific videos to watch instead of only watching what the algorithm suggests. Hopefully they don't nerf it like they did the dislike button, so use it while you still can.
@@troodon1096 Well you see...
You do have a point.
One bit about Forged in Fire that I did appreciate when I watched it is that they didn’t play up the competition angle too much. You’d expect a reality show to really try to get a rise out of the competitors and/or have them in pointlessly angry conflict, but in the episodes I watched the contestants were fairly friendly and in some cases would even help each other. It’s much more about the craft and seeing how well you can do and how you can improve.
Big if true
Lol, y’all use a forge? I’ve been using a furnace the entire time

I actually got to make a knife in the home forge of the winner of Season 5 Episode 27, the one where they made the Rambo Knife and the 1,000 Layer Katana. It was really cool, he even still had the chalkboard drawing of the katana layers he added up.
Cooooooooooooooooooooooooool
I remember being obsessed with this show and even tried forging for 5 months and then ultimately being frustrated and giving up xD
Never give up.If you keep trying your best, soon it will KEAL
On the other hand i managed to forge a patch knife and caplock musket lol
A guy tried forging after watching this show and burnt his house down lol, be safe.
Just checked and he burnt like 20 buildings. Shits scary.

Doug Marcaida is the human form of the Doom theme music.
Should've just said "It will keel"
And the "in a nutshell" was over
This makes me want to rewatch the entire show again
5:41 that would make the show way interesting
“Your blade suffered catastrophic failure in one stroke” words no man want to ever hear
"Like a new DLC character for Mortal Kombat" I lost my shit with that line! Amazing comedy!
Huh, I remember Doug saying "your blade will make the cut"
It will cut
I see what he did there.
4:46 duuud that would be sickkk
The most amazing thing is these guys are all chads, no weebs
And no assholes, all so far have good sportsmanship. Now that's a chad

2:50 that got me so good!
5:29 i swear, your sense of humor is so random...

But have you seen "The Butcher"? It's this same exact show: same format, same studio, same tone, except they compete who can butcher animals quicker and make more expensive cuts???... And the judges commenting are like: "That's a smart move, he isn't separating the ribeye from T-bone, maximizing his profit."
It's absolutely hilarious.
Oh yeah, I've heard of that programme. Never watched it though
Will have to check that one out

I watch this show in order to see if the blade breaks
What would of made this so much funnier would be if you said, “like a top apex predator, Doug.”
Forged in fire was just that show that me and my dad watched on Sundays together, all day, while fighting our collective hangovers. It was the best...
"If you've never broken a blade as a bladesmith, you have a bladesmith"
I have summoned the recommendations of Forged in Fire. Thank mr. Joeseppi
Fun fact I was forged in fire by my father on the show forged in fire. This explains why I am a blade that will break if it hits literally anything.
Not gonna lie, I freaking love this show idk why I just do. Craziest episode is when a man nearly burned down the building his workshop/home forge was in. He had to remake his final blade in like 2 days and it snapped during a test and I was like come on he needs that money, that’s sad. I love a good catastrophic blade failure, especially if the blade explodes into different pieces when the layers of metal come apart.
This channel is so underrated
My sisters are semi confirmed to be on season 9, they are training for it right now by 2 of their teachers who are forged in fire champions and a couple extra have also appeared on the show as well so they definitely are in good hands. Can't wait for Season 9.
Did your sisters came in the show though?
@TapGames They have not been on yet. My sisters told me that they will 100% be on the show soon as they never had twins let alone twin women forgers. I will post an update with their episode that comes out. Their metalshop they will represent will be Killroys Workshop LLC. Their about us shows they have had 13 bladesmiths on Forged in Fire as well as 3 being champions as well as the owner being a champion.
I was watching this show while on the summer vacation with my grandparents. And I enjoyed it
They’re some actual good forging channels.
1 in particular is That Works.
They have made some very interesting blades
