- FRUGAL LIVING video is here! The cost of living and the price of food has increased so much that many people use a food bank or food pantry to make ends meet. The food pantry is a great resource to obtain food and household supplies. There is no need to go hungry when there are great resources out there for everyone to use, if you qualify. I encourage you to apply to your local food pantry or food bank if you need help with groceries. It's also a great place to meet new people in the community. If you do not qualify for the food pantry or the food bank then please check out your local churches as that could be another option to get help.

Food Haul & Food Pantry Hauls Are Such A Blessing To Be Able To Have
There is no shame in going to a Food Pantry, a Food Bank or a local church for help with groceries. The cost of food and the cost of living is high. If you have low-income, lower income or no income then the food pantry may be a great option for you! Inflation prices are rapidly increasing, so more people are using their community resources and programs than ever before. Using your local community resources to help offset the cost of food can help you stretch your paycheck or retirement funds further. Keep in mind that sometimes the food has gone bad. There are times I have received items from the food pantry that were spoiled. Sometimes the food is very out of date and not suitable. Please check the best by dates! If you receive spoiled items, then I'm sure it was an accident. Food banks and food pantries move a lot of inventory and there are times when the food has turned. They have a lot of food that comes through and they're not perfect. Volunteers help rotate and shelf products at the food pantry. Just keep your eye out for best by dates to make sure you are getting the best quality items you can find!
Frugal Living
I live a Frugal Lifestyle. I shop sales and squirrel away supplies for winter. I am mindful to stock up on everyday items to save money in the long run so I can pay for daily living expenses like electricity. Every purchase I make is a financial investment in my future. It could be a bottle of water or a can of beans. Part of my frugal living lifestyle is using my local food pantry and shopping at thrift stores. Each organization has their own rules and if you qualify, you become a consumer to their program so please follow their rules to maintain a good relationship with your food pantry or food bank. I still have bills like everyone else and I budget according to my finances. Although I am considered financially poor or low-income, I do not feel poor. I eat well.

HOW TO GET FOOD BANK HELP?
Contact your local churches or you can ask the county. There is nothing wrong for wondering how to get food bank help. Each county has a social services department that can direct you to food pantry resources in your area.
WHAT FOOD DO YOU GET FROM A FOOD BANK?
All types! I get all types of food from the food bank from unknown brands to name brands. Each shopping trip is different. I also get a lot of seasonal vegetables to cook with. Some food pantries offer staple items like beans and lentils, other food banks may even offer organic food.
HOW DOES A FOOD PANTRY WORK?
Every Food Bank and Food Pantry has their own set of rules, so make sure to call and speak with staff that can guide you to apply. Some go by how much money you make (income guidelines).
FOOD PANTRY NEAR ME TO DROP OFF FOOD?
The best way to find a location near you is to contact your local churches, google search it or contact social services.

I bought the message board from the thrift store and am having a lot of fun with it. It reminds me of being a kid and having a board game! The day lillies are making a comeback, yay, I'm so happy for that. It started with one plant and it grew! I hope your Easter is a wonderful day for you, too. Wow I'm not sure what State you're in but you have the most amazing food pantry! It's like shopping at a high end grocery store. And Dr. Bronners castille soap I absolutely love!
It's an amazing food pantry! They coordinate items from high end grocery stores, for sure. I am very happy to get that Dr. Bronner's soap, it will last a long time. I really enjoy trying the specialty dessert items and cheese trays. Those are things I would want but not buy for myself if shopping at the grocery store! I appreciate everything the food pantry allows me to bring home. Have a great night!
The rosemary bread was beautiful. When you brought out the steak house butter I thought a match made in heaven!
Yes, it was a great combination! Bread and butter is yummy. I like the steakhouse butter, it has a good flavor to it! And the rosemary is so fragrant.

Thank you so much! The food pantry is great to visit, I love putting together plates and making food pretty. Thrift store shopping is a lot of fun for me. I really enjoy searching for interesting items and at affordable pricing.
While watching your trip to the food pantry I was thinking your camera person must be your man because each video, he shows a little more of your beautiful face. Then I watched as he went by the salads etc. quickly while lingering on the desserts. Then I thought "thanks mr. man! I shouldn't watch because there probably isn't one piece of gluten free goodies there". Then you showed your chocolate gluten free cupcake and I wanted to jump thru my computer monitor screen!!
OH!!.....The Native deodorant is the bomb. ..works really good. I have been using mine for about 3 or 4 months...love the scent I have and it doesn't make me itch like others have. I've always had eczema and other sensitive skin issues. I order mine online . Don't know where to get it here in SW Washington State....near Portland, Ore.

Hi Karen! Thank you so much! My man is a big help to me, helping me film. He does a great job! The food pantry does have some gluten-free baked goods from time to time. I'm glad you got to see the cupcake! I like Native products, too. Thank you for watching my video, I'm happy to hear you look forward to it! Smaller space living can be a challenge, especially I think for folks who have lived a full life and downsized into smaller dwelling. But it can be a fun challenge to make your space work for you! My home measures 455 square feet inside, but it feels pretty "roomy" the more storage solutions I get, the better. Thrift store shopping really helps to find affordable items. such wonderful food from the pantry. years back when my son was small. i used to saute some left over spanish rice and stir and egg into it for him . he really liked it and ask for it every time we had left over spanish rice. it was his favorite breakfast. fills one up. the ham dinner looked best to me. we are doing a ham for easter - looking forward to it. see you next tuesday. happy easter to you.

Moving things around, putting linens together in different ways, making pretty plates of food - all of it keeps my imagination active. Creativity is a core part of my life. Hi Sarah! Great video! It always feels like I’m visiting with a friend when I watch. I use the Earth Breeze laundry sheets and like them. For smaller loads I rip the sheets in half and it works just fine. All your meals looked fabulous-I would definitely go for the lemon cannoli. Happy Easter. 👋🏻

The coffee is pretty good! The Pellegrino water is bubbly and fun. I enjoyed the ham meal a lot. It's like comfort food, good stuff. I haven't gotten into the sausage yet, but looking forward to it! The one you described sounds pretty good. I hope you have a great week, too!

Hi Helen! My man cooks a great steak! He prefers the "steak and potatoes" types of meals. But he always tells me the food I put together looks really good! Maybe he'll split a plate with me in the future. Have a nice evening, Helen!
Those earth breezes are really nice. And you could actually use less than they recommend and it still works really well. Plus you can use just a little bit for a spot cleaner as well. Oh yeah, that Doctor browner's Castillo soap is definitely a great find. Oh that chicken sausage looks really good.

They have a cheap brand of laundry sheets at dollar tree. Though for detergent ive got to use tide or ariel or stains won't come out
Thank you for letting me know! I want to make a trip to Family Dollar, and I'll look for the laundry sheets. Tide really helps get those stains out! I used it on the white top I bought from the thrift store with sweat stains and washed it twice with Tide. No more stains!
@@CareFreeLivingChannel if you get Ariel in the powder or tide that is really tide. That what tide is called in lot of other countries and here same size of powder Ariel and tide the Ariel is like one third the price

I just found your channel recently, and I’m enjoying your videos. I have one question and a comment. Where’s your air fryer rack? That’s what keeps things up so the hot air can circulate.
Comment: Expiration dates are a marketing tool used to keep stores ordering. Many items are perfectly fine for a long time after the printed expiration date, particularly canned food.

I do keep a list of things Im in need of and look for them at the pantry, but if they dont have it I fill in with a quick trip to Aldi or send my hubby to Walmart. I cant seem to walk into a Walmart without spending $50 bucks on stuff I didnt even know I "needed"! lol I was given a 15 pound bag of Starbucks coffee beans last time at the pantry! WHAT A SCORE!! Thats gonna last us for months!

I go to the grocery store also for "fill-in" trips for things like coffee creamer and other items as needed. I shop at the food pantry the same way I do at the thrift store, I'll be looking at things way in the back and searching for anything that might be hidden away!

I went on chat gpt and tried to find a cheap vegan meal plan
I've never tried chat GBT. Did you find anything useful? I'm primarily vegetarian. I have several vegetarian and vegan cookbooks, but usually eat like Sarah does by mixing salads and snack playes, seldom get around to real cooking.
Sometimes I will add rinsed canned beans to my salads and some feta cheese, it's wonderful. But the cheese is not vegan!
@@hoosierpioneer yeah i put in what was in my pantry from the food pantry and it told me to make a vegan bean and rice bowl with the vegetables and broth I have on hand.
