😁haha yes. I know. Sometimes they have cleaning products but not typical other than the roll of TP.

Oh wow, 😯 that’s shocking. I told my husband never in my life would I ever be able to bring myself to spend $500 on a painting, yet I was blessed with the painting at the food bank. It will forever be in my home that’s for sure.

Omg I love the rooster and the picture!!! I have farmhouse in my kitchen, living room and main bathroom!!! Well we have a huge red barn behind our house and live in county so I just love that style ❤so glad you will still film the new food banks you get to go too! I can’t wait to see!! You got some really good this week! I got lots of meat at ours which is not normal but I was like yes please, save me some money! They even gave me dozen eggs and 1/2 gallon milk! Which was a first and very nice too! Have a great week off and we will be waiting for new videos! ❤🎉

Awww 🥰 I started to record but there were too many gaps from not recording.
Picky eater, and I own it…I can’t change it…I’ve tried!!!! I’ve added a lot of things to what I’ll eat as I’ve gone from a kid/teen/young adult/adult…but, literally…I can’t even look at some things without feeling ill, much less taste it. It is what it is. Amber! Staycation!!! Enjoy!!! Have fun, relax, take a break!!! You’re never greedy, so absolutely take advantage of having time off to go to ones you can’t go to because of your work schedule…there’s nothing wrong with that!!!! (Any judgy people, go elsewhere.) I’m glad you got some great stuff…get that Okra in the plastic bag unsealed! It will rot, fast! (I love Okra…it’s a love it or hate it vegetable…give me all of your Okra, I will fry it up in my cast iron skillet and enjoy!) If you don’t like it stewed in gumbo (I don’t like stewed/pickled okra or gumbo) try it fried…try it coated in corn flour deep fried…it’s good stuff!! But I get it if you don’t like it. Amber, give yourself a break…everything in moderation, including moderation (says Julia Childs) so, you had a bad week as far as carbs go…it happens…especially when you cut back a lot (and are feeding the family what you’d like to have, too.) It’s okay. Maybe try having (if okay with your doctor) a spoonful’s worth of the carb stuff (mashed potatoes, beans, mac n cheese) and then eat the rest of your ‘healthier dinner.’ It makes it, for most people, feel less like they’re being denied things they want…then all you can think about is “want mashed mashed potatoes.” I absolutely understand that some people are under severe, serious, life-important, dietary needs…I’m not saying to cheat on those at all…just that, for me, not being under a severe dietary restriction, that having a little of something makes me feel not deprived…or having a dinner out, and ordering what I want. It’s okay. I hope your drs appt goes well!!! Enjoy your time off!!! Please!!! You worked hard for it!! We can wait for videos unless you really want to make some…you do you! Thanks again, you’re awesome!

I went grocery shopping today and the prices of food never fails to shock me! Thankfully I can save money by visiting my local food bank! Hi, yes I too am a cow hugger lol. Yep she’s just a tad younger than me. I’m 36. The food banks have been a great help. You are right going to the food bank is like Christmas. I do like the surprise of not knowing what I’m getting. My vacation has been great so far.

I am not in the USA, but if you are eligible for the food bank, go for it. You use the stuff responsibly and creatively. Why shouldn't you make the most of the available opportunities?

Our food bank will not take non food items
That's a shame, it could be that they don't have the space to store it all. I know its like a little bonus at my food bank, we all look forward to what extra items we may be able to find that put a smile on our faces and here at the holidays it helps as you may find something that would make a great gift and now you don't have to stress about that.
