I've been looking forward to your video all week!! I LOVE your eating for one dollar a day vidoes, they're so creative and have really help me understand how many ways I can stretch a single ingredient.
Michelle, my 9 year old son loves your videos! He says, "let's watch Ardent." I've tried to explain to him that ardent is not your first name, but he can't quite get it! We enjoy your recipes and delivery! Thanks for another great video. 😊
Wow! This video illustrates exactly why you're my favorite channel. Your ability to help us understand frugal shopping, cooking, and eating and inspire us in such difficult times is such a huge blessing! Thank you!!
WOW! You are a magician. You've made the impossible, possible, and made $1 worth of ingredients into an amazing three delicious meals. Congratulations!
Ok. Without thinking too hard about it: First, I would cook all the chickpeas and pickle 1/4 of the onion. Breakfast would be a chickpea stew with cabbage and onion, as I like soupy things for breakfast a lot! Lunch would be potato pancakes with pickled onion, sauteed cabbage, and crispy chickpeas. Dinner would be potato gnocchi with sauteed stringbeans and onion in a basic white sauce. Such great deals on the potatoes, cabbage and onions - the big trifecta of cheap veggies.
You treat every little amount of food preciously and highlight its qualities, I love this. It has helped me to save little bits and use them in ways to enhance my diet. I really appreciate this. It is amazing how much a little slice of onion or a very small piece of a carrot can add to a meal. I don't have to restrict my purchases but I want to always remember that we may not have an abundance always and we may need to make do w very little one day. It can be for many reasons not always a restriction of finances. Another wonderful creative video :)
Love this comment - it's definitely a strength in these videos, the wise, careful use of resources. It has caused me to re-evaluate my perspective on food and the abundance in which I live. I don't want to philosophize here, but it truly helps me value food more and inspires in me a desire be a better steward of what I have.
Another wonderful Sunday visit with AM! Ardent Michelle, I especially appreciate that, if your budget is one dollar, you actually stay at or under that dollar. It drives me crazy when RUclipsrs will set a budget of, say, $20, and then come in at something like $21.08. That is NOT staying within budget, and for some people, that extra $1.08 makes a world of difference. ~ Thanks again for your hard work, and have a great week!
I just want to tell you how helpful I find your videos. I have learned so much about stretching my food budget and I have made several of your recipes recently. I never realized how cutting veggies differently or using different cooking methods can make a huge difference in taste. Thank you 😊
Your cabbage salad reminded me a little of the popular salad we would make for luncheons. Following your recipe add soy sauce , seasoning from ramen noodles . Toast the ramen along with almonds adding right before serving to maintain the crunch . It is so good. I like to add sesame oil to regular oil to give that wonderful flavor. Carrots are good too along with a few scallions. It just depends on what you have in your budget.
Breafast is fried up chopped cabbage with some onion and cubed potatoes with butter. If not, then oil. Season. Lunch is cooked and fried chickpeas with minced green bean. Included is Cole slaw. Dinner is more chickpeas with biscuits that you've made with oil etc. Included is the second potato, baked and seasoned.
Thank you so much Michelle! Your inventiveness is great, I love watching your videos and getting ideas for new dishes to try. These challenges are so helpful for those of us on limited budgets and need ideas to make it through the month. Thank you for everything!
This is third time one of your videos has brought me to tears. I am so happy that you have found an opportunity and I think it will enrich your content. I could see a short series where you just show screenshots of your week of packed lunches. I would selfishly love to see quick meals. I am in a season where I don’t have the time for long cooking more than twice a week, I like to cook once and make many meals from that. I wish you all the success. I will stick around no matter the posting schedule!!!! Please keep us updated!

I think a lot of people don't have time for all the cooking..which is why processed foods are so popular. Time is a precious commodity that many people just don't have. Thanks for your support. I appreciate you 🥰
I can't get over the low cabbage, potato, and Swiss chard prices! Produce prices are insane in Kentucky. Chick peas are one of the few legume/bean-type item that is a complete protein on their own. (Buckwheat also contains complete protein alone.) Dried parsley is a 'superfood". it is very good for you. Any nut or seed would add some protein and nutrients. I've been experimenting with fried breads myself.
Glad you enjoyed this video. 😁 Doing these extreme challenge always helps me to discover new recipes that I wouldn't have otherwise. It's helped me to be a better cook.
Where is your other channel? I love your content. You always put together the most healthy, creative and adventurous options of any budget challenge chef, you are so amazing 😻
I love soup even if it’s hot outside! I could live off of it and I do most of the time! I recently moved in with my son which cut my cooking way down, I was cooking for 5 now it’s just us 2. But thank goodness he loves soup too!! I love these $1 videos so much!!!!❤❤❤ thank you for all of your hard work!!!!
I saw someone make an “egg mix” with the liquid and a few (5-6) chickpeas. He just blended in a blender and then fried it so it turned out like An omelette. 🤔 might be a fun addition for the $1 challenge.
I love seeing these one dollar challenges. I don’t see them as often as I used to so I appreciate you taking the time to do them. Thank you hope to see more in the future.
I wait for your videos to pop up Ardent. I love them ❤. I also thought of this- if someone doesnt have potato they can make some small dumplings from the flour and add it to the soup 😋. I am so greedy I want more of your videos 🥰. Keep em coming girl ❤
My daughter recently asked me about how I budget for groceries as she'll soon be leaving the nest. I think your videos are a great tool for her to examine how creative one can get, especially in these times. Always enjoy what you post!
"Splits teas are on a good deal...butbi do hate those" favorite quote. Loved it as I feel the same. Such a frugal ingredient...but vile. People either love or hate it ...and I am on the hate it side.
Considering there is chickpeas I think I would use half chickpeas for hummus, 1 potato for fries, and Sautee a bit of cabbage and onion on the side. Then I'd take half cooked chickpeas, some cabbage the potato and onion and Sautee all together cabbage and potatoes is one of my favorite meals. Sometimes we add sausage into it. Sometimes we just don't. And I love cabbage.
I see veggie cabbage rolls, a hash with all the ingredients, maybe crunchy chickpeas with cabbage chips as a snack (I know it works with kale and collards - maybe it works with cabbage? Might be interesting to try!) All kinds of ways to dress up those ingredients!
Great video as always. It might be possible to make Colcannon with a potato and some cabbage. Potato and flour dumplings would work for soup. They can be made without egg. A little mustard makes for a binder and added flavor. Mayo for a binder if you want the egg flavor. Fried potato skins to garnish your cabbage soup. The outer leaves of your cabbage can be chopped and pickled. And that green bean can be an awesome garnish. Your videos always cause me to think of food differently and I like that!
So delicious! It’s magic what you can pull off on a shoestring budget. It assures me that I could eat very well on a minimal amount of money. An assurance we all need in these times.
another option even without a thicker soup would have been to make a roux (or I guess it could be also mashed chickpeas for this challenge), and then use that to make a gravy type thing to put over the baked potato. I am making okonomiyaki (cabbage pancakes) with pickled onions weekly at this point.
Thank you.....it really was! 😁 I've been surprised at how much flavor you can coax out of the veggies without using bouillon. I say coax because it takes awhile 😂
Great work once again. That cabbage was cheap. If you had egg noodles you coukd have made haluski. That trinidad street meal was great. Oh and I checked and there is a white wings box of cornmeal at my supermarket but no other options. I bought stuff for granola also, plan on making a big batch and gifting it. Thanks for the video Michelle ❤
I love to pickle onions and radishes and cucumber. I usually keep blanched slivered almonds and sesame seeds on hand and I make a cabbage salad that is similar except I use honey and not sugar. The cabbage soup for breakfast sounds good except I’d add an egg. Only cuz I need protein first thing in the morning. Chick peas would have sufficed too for me I think. Your baked potato idea looked really good. I love a good baked potato with nothing but butter and salt. Even once it’s cold, if the butter has permeated through the potato and I have a little salt it’s still yummy. I want to make that Trinidad dish too. Thanks for your inspiration
I love your content! Thank you 😊 Also about the onion smell on hands: I learned from Valerie Bertinelli’s cooking show that if you rub your fingers and hands over your metal sink faucet, the metal removes the onion smell. I tried it and it works!
I'd like to challenge you to do a 2 day $5 dollars WinCo challenge using bulk and produce sections only. Only oil, butter, salt from your home pantry. Spices and seasonings must also come from WinCo bulk spices if your store has them.
awe...thank you so much for the support 💜 This challenge sounds easy and fun! 🤔......wondering if I could fit this into my schedule soon. The spices weigh next to nothing so those wouldn't cost much at all! and the fact that your giving me butter is huge! I'll see what I can do.
I recently found your channel and am truly enjoying! i am sharing with my 17 yr old daughter and my nieces in thier early 20s !!thank you soo much🍲🥘🍲🥘🍲🥘
Soup I eat it all year. There are cold soups. Too bad you don’t like peas 🫛 😆. I often wondered if what reaction you get when you buy such small quantities. 😆. The potato and onion and cabbage make a nice meal. Have you ever had yellow slaw? As usual everything looks great. Have a good week my friend. 💜
Really good ideas again and I liked that you used cabbage in here. It is one of the cheapest vegetables in my country and I like to use it a lot, so it was interesting to see how you used it. I also use it very often in soups, I usually add the cabbage as last vegetable, because I like to leave it a bit crunchy. I also like to bake sectors of cabbage in oven when I bake potato or meat, because it is so healthy side dish. And cabbage salads - yess... I love them :D My favorite way to do it is like this: slice cabbage thinly and squeeze it well in a bowl to break the fibers - the cabbage becomes a lot softer and juicier and nicer to eat, grate 1 carrot, chop 1 red onion. Heat up some water and soak up raisins in there so they become soft (do not boil them), add all those into a bowl, add 2 spoons of mayonnaise and splash of orange juice. A bit of salt and quite lot of pepper to the taste. I can eat it as salad, but also when I crave some sweet. Because the raisins add the sweetness. Try this salad if you have not - it is so nice. :) I also like to do cabbage and minced meat stew. We eat it with boiled potatoes - "kapsa hakklihahautis" in google should bring you the recipes. We also do a lot of preserved cabbage in different ways - like sauerkraut, stewed cabbage. There is also a cabbage dish we do from sauerkraut, pork, barley, called "mulgikapsad". We make those in large quantities, preserve in jars and eat through winter. Those are eaten with boiled potatoes usually too. :)
I cannot wait to try all of these recipes! I am obsessed with chickpeas and using cabbage and lettuce in a salad but my current favorite is with tomatoes cucumbers onions fried up chickpeas and avocado with a homemade tahini dressing. Thanks for another great video! Looking forward to the next one❤
My meal ideas before watching: Potato/onion hash. Cabbage, green bean, chickpea stir fry. Potato, onion pancakes with a side of cooked cabbage. chickpea curry to pour over a baked potato. soup. tortillas with sliced roasted potato/onion fajitas with taco seasoning (is that a thing?) vinegar based slaw salad with chickpeas.... Now I'll watch the video! After watching this video, you actually had enough for about 5 meals making them 20c each. Pretty frickin impressive! Making guesses before watching reminds me of a series by "Mornings with Granny" here on YT called "what if"? She puts a few items on the table and says it is all you have in the house until the next day when you get paid--what would you make. I loved seeing how different people have such different ideas. DId I miss a video from last week? I was in the Caribbean during the -28 degree temps in Missouri!
RE: Caribbean -Oh how nice! Did you come back with any recipes? GREAT ideas for the ingredients. I love reading about all the items my viewers would make. I need to make some potato cakes on the channel!
To easily get onion smell off your hands, rub them on stainless steel while washing them. A molecular reaction between the metal and sulphur removes the smell. It really works! Love your videos; you are amazingly creative.
You could make a variation of cabbage schnitzel with these ingredients. The original recipe calls for making patties out of a combination of cooked shredded cabbage, onion, bread crumbs and eggs and then lightly frying them. For me, they are way more satisfying and taste way better than I thought they would. There's a good recipe on The Nosher for Cabbage Schnitzel you could check out if you're interested. You should absolutely try fermenting veggies. I started doing this a few years ago and became a little obsessed. Now I have a shelf on my fridge filled with fermented things like okra, cucumbers, mini peppers, hot sauce, beets, salsa and sauerkraut. Fermented veggies have a very complex flavor and are just wonderful. You can also use the leftover brine (when you're done eating the fermented stuff) to marinate meats. Anyway, another great video!
I'll have to try cabbage schnitzel. 🤔 had never heard of it before, so I just added it to my bucket list. Are you thinking that I might could have held the patties together with the chickpea liquid or some mashed chickpeas?
@@ArdentMichelle I know people use the chickpea liquid as a vegan egg substitute so yeah, that might work. Maybe also making a paste rue with the flour, adding mashed potatoes or soaking shredded potatoes and using the starch that separates? Of course, these would likely fit better into a challenge where you have access to eggs, since they're already a cheap meal, but you could likely come up with some workable variation with the ingredients you used for this challenge.
My favorite way to get onion smell off your hands is pouring a bit of table salt in your hands and rubbing them together like you would with soap. Eliminates any smells, and then you just wash your hands like normal :)
With the potatoes, chick peas and cabbage: breakfast potatoes w/ a side of fried cabbage. Lunch, chick pea curry using pantry staples w/ a rubbed cabbage slaw and for dinner a baked potato stuffed with caramelized onion, along with the green bean and a few air fried chic peas for crunch.
I love this! I really wish our stores had your prices on produce. Sometimes some things are in line with the prices you pay but it's usually at an Hispanic market that I can't get to on a regular basis. Also those markets are the only place I know of with bulk dried goods. And it's very limited. Also I love cabbage. And I'm wandering.
This was a Persian market that I was shopping at and they do have awesome prices. I saw something online the other day that rated states from highest to least expensive groceries and I think Oklahoma was the cheapest and California was #49. However, because we are an agricultural state, we have some great deals on produce. I think most of the deals at my local market are produce that's about to go bad but I'm fine with it.
@@ArdentMichelle I'm in Kansas and produce is definitely less expensive in the summer. There's a Hispanic market close to other shopping I like to do so I might challenge myself to a limited budget for one day. They also have a meat counter. If all you want is one chicken leg or a steak you can just get that. Sometimes the meat prices are crazy good.
@@kelleyhoppock6171 our Hispanic markets have crazy good prices on meats too! I definitely recommend doing the limited budget challenge. 👍 It helps to get your creative juices flowing and to discover new meals you wouldn't have tried otherwise. I think everyone should do it. If you do, let me know how it goes!
Doubles are usually eaten at breakfast so I was really confused that you had the soup in the morning - I was like isn't Michelle going to make doubles after all?! 😂 The doubles I've eaten (my brother's stepdad is from Trinidad) puffed up more but that wouldn't happen without yeast I guess. Gonna have to have a go at making them myself now.
I always save the recipe I'm most nervous about until last 😂 I had read that they were popular for breakfast but also commonly eaten at other times of the day. I'm definitely going to make them again and it would be the kind of breakfast that I like to eat since I frequently eat tacos for breakfast. 😂
@@ArdentMichelle yeah I think they are eaten as a snack any time as well. I love them. Order them whenever I see them on a menu but making my own would let me control how spicy I can handle that early in the day!
Perfect timing! I was inventorying part of my pantry today and have more chickpeas than i thought- these recipes look delicious! Were you frying the dough in water? Or oil? Thanks for all of the creative ideas!
Wow! He really left out on that cabbage, about half the price and it's hard to find a head that's small. Don't think you'd have protein if it wasn't for the bulk Bins but it's even harder to believe you can still find something to cook for a dollar for the whole day. Excelente !
Aloo tiki from the potatoes (using normal flour instead of gram flour to coat), a potato curry with roti, bubble and squeak, garnished with a single, majestic, green bean!
Hi Ardent Michelle. I'm from the UK & have become intrigued with the idea of grits! They are crazy expensive here through eBay/Amazon. I managed to get some hominy white corn somewhat cheaper. Do you think if I grind them (not to a fine consistency) I might end up with grits? I hope you don't mind me asking 🙏 love your channel & voice as you know. Thanks if you can answer 😊
The chickpeas could be blended into a flour - besan flour mixed with water, seasonings, and shredded cabbage makes a delicious (and very filling) savoury pancake
You could also have added some cabbage to the pickles. Pickled cabbage tastes great. And I probably would have pickled the solitary bean to make the most of it - it got lost in the soup.
Great prices ! I don't know why your channel hasn't reached a million subs.... Yo Getting the cabbage was so smart. So much can be done with it. I made a recipe years ago that had cooked cabbage , onion, and swiss cheese in a pastry pocket that was baked or fried and they were delicious. With your ingredients you could easily make perogies too. You and Rebecca at Dollar Tree Dinners are such a public service to the world ! 😊❄☃🌞💗✝
Thanks so much. 🥰 My channel is kind of unique in that I like to explore lots of different types of cuisines while still focusing on keeping costs down. Being unique is the kiss of death on RUclips because the algorithm tries to put you with similar content.
Possibilities to make with the ingredients (my ideas before watching your video) - German potato pancakes (onion, potato and a little flour) - “slaw” (pickled onion and bean with cabbage) - stir fry (cabbage, onion and potato) - “steak and potatoes” (cabbage “steak” with baked potato) - Indian dish (chickpeas, spices, onion, potato) Curious what you’ll make now! P.S. I’ve been sick so haven’t tried orange slices yet, per earlier video conversation.
Next time you do the pickled cabbage add a tiny bit of onion. I love watching you made the chippewa, I am trying to find a recipe for my family because they eat to much meat. I want them to eat more vegetables. Thank you very much for sharing.
You need to look up freezer slaw! It keeps for long time in the freezer! Also, have you ever tried a cabbage roll casserole? Cheap and makes up a lot! Then if you get tired of it you can freeze it for later or turn it into cabbage roll soup. I think it could be turned into a type of fried rice/ jambalaya style dish too. I just play around with things in small portions so I do not fix something that my family and I may not like. If you make something using potatoes as main ingredient then add to it…night have more options. I bet you can go to the seafood counter and as for couple of something to make stuffed potatoes with: couple of shrimp, some type of fish…even calamari. Use ingredients at home to make a cream sauce/ gravy and use some for homemade biscuits and some for seafood stuffed potato in cream sauce. Save part of fish for fish cakes or breaded fish sticks. Or could get a small can of salmon. A bag of salad greens on sale and top with little bit of salmon drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. Sometimes we forget about even checking the things we think are too expensive that might be on sale or we could have just enough to give us a taste. Like making a pizza out of four or five shrimp ( like red lobster). Just some ideas.
Have you ever approached a produce staff person and asked if they would cut a cabbage in half for you? I bet they would do it. Also, for color, maybe a handful of spinach would be pretty inexpensive if they have it in bulk?
I've never seen a half of a cabbage, but it's an interesting thought. I would love to be able to buy spinach like that. So far, I don't think I've seen it like that 🤔 Love these ideas!
An odd note about black pepper. When my son was young he developed a craving for black pepper and would eat it by itself. Recently I've seen research that showed there is a component that activates benefits of most seasoning.

I like that too! 👍 and I also like reading your suggestions, because I learn a lot and get new ideas. Thanks for sharing!
Seriously amazing job on 1.00. I would have never thought of these things! Well done!!❤
Thank you 😁
This video is great, amazing how far a dollar goes with a few spices & simple things from the pantry...Thank You for the suggestions.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome 👍🏾 thank you 🙂 amazing 😍
🥰
I would make a curried stew! Love your videos my friend! Gives me great ideas to work with!
yay! 🥳 Glad you like my videos! Curried stew sounds delicious!
Love these ideas 👍 I was kind of thinking about a gravy also. I think I've made okonomiyaki on my channel before....so good!
Another winner! I had to pause for a minute and add celery salt to my shopping list. You made me think of how my mom used celery salt in coleslaw ❤
I sometimes forget about it...but I love it so much!
I love celery.
I love how you take so little and turn it into delicious meals! The soup looked delicious
I made another batch of that granola 😂 can't stop munching on it. Glad you're enjoying my recipes!
@ArdentMichelle oh that reminds me to sub to your other channel
I’m always so impressed with what you can do with so little. Great job!
Thank you so much!
You're a genius & your creativity is unmatched.❤
Thank you so much 💜
You work magic! Just love it. You inspire me to try more spice! Great job!
😊 thank you
I love how you only spent what you planned to; how you went back in and spent that $.09 and how you put that $.05 green bean in it's own container!
I've learned the value of even 5 cents from doing these challenges! 😂
I love your content! Thank you 😊 Also about the onion smell on hands: I learned from Valerie Bertinelli’s cooking show that if you rub your fingers and hands over your metal sink faucet, the metal removes the onion smell. I tried it and it works!
I've heard that too. Glad you're enjoying my content. 😁
You are fantastic! Wow! I can’t believe it….you did it!!!! Amazing………
Your channel always inspires me!
Happy to hear that!
I use a lot of pepper, too! Its an under rated spice that gives food a lot of flavor.
agreed 👍
You have a true gift! Love your channel!
thank you 😁
I recently found your channel and am truly enjoying! i am sharing with my 17 yr old daughter and my nieces in thier early 20s !!thank you soo much🍲🥘🍲🥘🍲🥘
welcome 😁
Soup I eat it all year. There are cold soups. Too bad you don’t like peas 🫛 😆. I often wondered if what reaction you get when you buy such small quantities. 😆. The potato and onion and cabbage make a nice meal. Have you ever had yellow slaw? As usual everything looks great. Have a good week my friend. 💜
I might have to try gazpacho this summer 👍 You too...have a good week 😁
@@ArdentMichelle challenge is on 😆.
Everything looks so good! I’m going to try replicating them. I love cabbage and potatoes. Your chick peas look wonderful. TFS
welcome 😁
The produce selection and prices of the produce there are great! I suppose it makes sense. 😊 Wonderful budget video as usual!
Thank you 😁
Several great recipes to try. 😊
I feel like only Michelle could leave out the yeast and have the doubles turn out! 😄
😂 thanks for this! 💜 I'm always leaving out something...and it always turns out fine.
For warm weather, gazpacho is a tasty alternative soup served chilled. Also cucumber soup is good for warm days.
thanks for sharing these ideas. Saving them to try! 😁
I was just thinking this morning that I want to pick up some tahini to start making my own dressing and dips for veggies. Glad you like thIs video!
@@ArdentMichelle there were a few things I want to try. One was a chilled cucumber soup. Sounds so easy, but was amazing. There was so. Much. Food!
@@allyrooh3628 I bet that was fun! I'm glad you got to take a vacation! 😁
To easily get onion smell off your hands, rub them on stainless steel while washing them. A molecular reaction between the metal and sulphur removes the smell. It really works! Love your videos; you are amazingly creative.
Thanks so much and thanks for the tip 😁
I wish there was a wholesome choice here in Canada.I’ve never seen prices that cheap here ever .Jealous!
I do feel fortunate!
Thank you Michelle a really great interesting vlog .xx
Thanks 😁
Really enjoyed your video but then i always do. Thanks 😊
welcome 💜 thanks for watching it and taking the time to comment.
Curries make a great budget meal and are so satisfying. They go with just about everything!
I totally agree!
@@patriciatzai yeah.... I think I could have made it work without the eggs. Thanks for sharing your awesome ideas! 😁
You are amazing. $1.00!!!
💜
The doubles seem kinda like Navajo fry bread, only flavored different. I LOVE the idea of adding turmeric to them..yum! Great job!
yes, that's true 👍 That's been on my bucket list for awhile now too! I thought the turmeric made them so visually stunning!
I love my Instant Pot! Rice every week, meatloaf (I have the 8 quart), oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, stews, beans etc. You won't regret it!
I feel like it's only a matter of time. 😂 I wish they weren't so expensive. I feel like the only thing I'll use it for is beans though....
Agreed! So useful! And I'm sure you could find one secondhand.
Very creative!
Thank you! 😊
My favorite way to get onion smell off your hands is pouring a bit of table salt in your hands and rubbing them together like you would with soap. Eliminates any smells, and then you just wash your hands like normal :)
Understood 👍
With the potatoes, chick peas and cabbage: breakfast potatoes w/ a side of fried cabbage. Lunch, chick pea curry using pantry staples w/ a rubbed cabbage slaw and for dinner a baked potato stuffed with caramelized onion, along with the green bean and a few air fried chic peas for crunch.
love these ideas! 😁 I considered the baked potato with the onion...it's a favorite of mine.
@@ArdentMichelle i definitely will!
Doubles are usually eaten at breakfast so I was really confused that you had the soup in the morning - I was like isn't Michelle going to make doubles after all?! 😂
The doubles I've eaten (my brother's stepdad is from Trinidad) puffed up more but that wouldn't happen without yeast I guess.
Order them whenever I see them on a menu but making my own would let me control how spicy I can handle that early in the day!
after you cut your onion, wash your hands. when they're dry, run your hands on a stainless steel surface and it eliminates the odor. :)
👍
Or wash down the stainless steel sink or faucet with your onion/garlic/hot pepper hands so clean sink and hands at the same time.
Perfect timing! I was inventorying part of my pantry today and have more chickpeas than i thought- these recipes look delicious! Were you frying the dough in water? Or oil? Thanks for all of the creative ideas!
oil 😁
I'd go in the direction of cabbage and potatoe soup with that haul.
you and I think alike 😂
Did the cashier look at you crazy, when you paid for those 2 green beans???
I really enjoy your videos!
yes....I had to tell her I was doing a challenge! 😂
😂 I was thinking the same thing
A long time ago when I worked at a fancy NY grocery store, a woman bought 5 almonds due to her very specific diet.
Hello 😁 gosh....I'm not sure. I've never made them before. You might want to do some research on google. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck!
The chickpeas could be blended into a flour - besan flour mixed with water, seasonings, and shredded cabbage makes a delicious (and very filling) savoury pancake
that's a great idea 👍 love this
I like to make a flavorful soup with chickpeas or lentils chicke bullion onion powder cumin and ancho spice. Thanks!
sounds delicious!
You can make a chili with chipeas and we love cabbage, potatoes , onion soup. Thank you for sharing.
true 👍 welcome. Thanks for watching!
You could also have added some cabbage to the pickles. Pickled cabbage tastes great. And I probably would have pickled the solitary bean to make the most of it - it got lost in the soup.
true 👍 great idea!
I hope you feel better soon! Being sick is awful!
These are great ideas! 😁
That cabbage soup at the beginning would also be good with an added grain of your choice, IMO. Just thinking out loud, 😁
Good call!
Next time you do the pickled cabbage add a tiny bit of onion. I love watching you made the chippewa, I am trying to find a recipe for my family because they eat to much meat. I want them to eat more vegetables. Thank you very much for sharing.
Will do 👍 My sons eat a lot of meat too, but they love the food I cook, so I know if I offer they'll eat lots of veggies.
Hi! You are amazing!!! 💕🥂
Thank you so much 🥰
Could you have pickled the cabbage? and put in some hot spices? Making a super basic kind of 'kimchi'? something to try next time
yes 👍 love this idea!
Thanks for sharing these ideas 😁 I don't eat seafood, but I'm glad you pointed these items out. Love these.
That's very interesting. 🤔 I wonder if there was something in the pepper that your son needed.
