- FRUGAL LIVING video is here! The cost of living and the price of food has increased so much that many people use a food bank or food pantry to make ends meet. The food pantry is a great resource to obtain food and household supplies. There is no need to go hungry when there are great resources out there for everyone to use, if you qualify. I encourage you to apply to your local food pantry or food bank if you need help with groceries. It's also a great place to meet new people in the community. If you do not qualify for the food pantry or the food bank then please check out your local churches as that could be another option to get help.

Food Haul & Food Pantry Hauls Are Such A Blessing To Be Able To Have
There is no shame in going to a Food Pantry, a Food Bank or a local church for help with groceries. The cost of food and the cost of living is high. If you have low-income, lower income or no income then the food pantry may be a great option for you! Inflation prices are rapidly increasing, so more people are using their community resources and programs than ever before. Using your local community resources to help offset the cost of food can help you stretch your paycheck or retirement funds further. Keep in mind that sometimes the food has gone bad. There are times I have received items from the food pantry that were spoiled. Sometimes the food is very out of date and not suitable. Please check the best by dates! If you receive spoiled items, then I'm sure it was an accident. Food banks and food pantries move a lot of inventory and there are times when the food has turned. They have a lot of food that comes through and they're not perfect. Volunteers help rotate and shelf products at the food pantry. Just keep your eye out for best by dates to make sure you are getting the best quality items you can find!

I live a Frugal Lifestyle. I shop sales and squirrel away supplies for winter. I am mindful to stock up on everyday items to save money in the long run so I can pay for daily living expenses like electricity. Every purchase I make is a financial investment in my future. It could be a bottle of water or a can of beans. Part of my frugal living lifestyle is using my local food pantry and shopping at thrift stores. Each organization has their own rules and if you qualify, you become a consumer to their program so please follow their rules to maintain a good relationship with your food pantry or food bank. I still have bills like everyone else and I budget according to my finances. Although I am considered financially poor or low-income, I do not feel poor. I eat well.

HOW TO GET FOOD BANK HELP?
Contact your local churches or you can ask the county. There is nothing wrong for wondering how to get food bank help. Each county has a social services department that can direct you to food pantry resources in your area.
WHAT FOOD DO YOU GET FROM A FOOD BANK?
All types! I get all types of food from the food bank from unknown brands to name brands. Each shopping trip is different. I also get a lot of seasonal vegetables to cook with. Some food pantries offer staple items like beans and lentils, other food banks may even offer organic food.
HOW DOES A FOOD PANTRY WORK?
Every Food Bank and Food Pantry has their own set of rules, so make sure to call and speak with staff that can guide you to apply. Some go by how much money you make (income guidelines).
FOOD PANTRY NEAR ME TO DROP OFF FOOD?
The best way to find a location near you is to contact your local churches, google search it or contact social services.

That meatloaf always looks so tasty. Arugula is a cousin to the wild pepper plant. It has a slight pepper taste so I bet that’s why you like it. It’s one of my favorite salads and the little Bundt cakes were so cute. Have a good week.🧚🏽😊

Great video. My favorite would be the Bundt cakes. I can only have 100 carbs a day. I plan my meals so I know how carb heavy snacks can be. I do the same thing…divide something into however many servings so I can still enjoy it. Nice hair cut. I chopped some of mine off too about a week or so ago for summer. Would love to see your grocery hauls and other meals you make. Love getting ideas. I’m in a food rut.❤️🧡💚💙🩷🦋🦋🦋
Thank you so much! I love putting together plates of food. Yes the carb heavy desserts can add up quickly for me, too. It really helps splitting up desserts into smaller servings! The mini bundt cake is yummy. Getting a haircut was overdue! I have to figure out how to work with the "waves" of shorter hair. We used to have a Ukrops grocery store. It was my favorite place to shop. Each morning they would have a huge mark down section. I bought a lot of my meats and prepared foods there. Yes the meatloaf was always a favorite
The meatloaf is so good! Their product line is yummy. However they make it, it sure tastes good!
that was a light load from the pantry. i know you have other items in your pantry to fill out the week. i like to put celery in cold water to help crisp it up a bit. hope you are doing well and not having rough weather. we have sunshine but rain coming thurs and fri. hoping to get the yard cleaned up tomorrow. stay well and warm.

To extend the shelf life of the celery, wrap snuggly in foil. This will keep it crisp for a lot longer.

Fun video and meal ideas. Save cleaning the jar cut tubes into pieces that your fingers will reach to the bottom put them with cut ends up in small baggie. You'll get use for another week or two .😊

Well, we got hit with a bunch of snow today. It looks like a winter wonderland outside. In fact, we had so much snow that we've already had the plows come by twice. And it is cold in here tonight.🥶❄️

@@CareFreeLivingChannel Well, staying safe isn't too hard. The hardest part is trying to stay as warm as I can. But I am doing the best I can and in less than a month it will definitely be changing. And I will no longer have to worry about that in my new apartment. Plus the weather should be nicer in the next month.

I've got those hair bands from big lots
They're like an older fashioned telephone spiral coil cord
My hair did not enjoy them.
They got tangled in my hair and were a pain for me to remove

I have one of those egg poachers and have no idea how long to microwave I'm going to have to pull it out and give it a rey
I picked up the egg poacher at the thrift store. I start with 1 minute. Check it and add more time if needed, by 15 seconds.
