This has to be one of the most dead inside representations of a location ever. Nothing about this screams Hong Kong culture. There's no Chinese culture or themeing, no character, not even a taste of 80s iconic Hong Kong atmosphere, nothing. Unless you're local and recognize some parts, if you didn't know it was Hong Kong you'd think you're just in another random, dead, generic made-up city.
I mean, if the game's fantasy is being young, beautiful and rich enough to shove the regular Hong Kongers aside it works pretty well. Hong Kong itself hasn't been the HK of the 80s for decades, it's but one part of why everyone who can is leaving
@@Krieger22FS This is partly the issue, the lack of appealing or desirable world/culture to engage in. But even if modern HK is not that great, a game has to take some creative liberties to make it great. TDU2's Ibiza had elements of shallow party culture, but still had some charm I guess. They at least gave the world a personality.
As a local, it’s Hong Kong-ish, the roads in the non-urban area feels like Hong Kong and there are landmarks and a few roads that are exact replica of irl, but that’s about it. I agree with you that the vibe is missing.
it looks like someone took Forza 5, somehow deleted every optimisation, and made the camera / driving worse, unfortunate. and I don't feel any vibe either, I am seeing the clean aesthetic, which matches the clans, but again i don't see any appeal, maybe in 20-30 years this could be an ai ripoff of forza for the same price/however much it costs
I can't be the only guy that doesn't care about that. In fact, that's part of what made Driveclub so good - you picked up that game and started racing very quickly and this was before solid state drives became a standard for gaming.
@@BleedForTheWorld no I agree with you, the driving aspect of the game is very enjoyable. I think the more pressing issue for the game is server stability and game optimization on lower rigs to prevent crashes and world generation errors
im not gonna lie for a game that is supposed to rival nfs, forza, crew, in doesnt do a good job was waiting since 2021, the reviews and optimization are making me think twice
NFS, Forza and the Crew all have something over this TDU unfortunately. NFS have the customization, Forza have a large car list, Crew have vehicle variety. TDU does not seems to have anything special to compete against those series.
The dealership looks bad. It doesn't make sense that alpine, 370z and mustang is in the same dealership. Not to mention hypercars are there too. Dealership should only have specific cars, like cars from certain region, performance or one brand only. It doesn't capture TDU and TDU2 spirit.
I like the vibe of this game, and how everything looks so futuristic, between the AR contact lens, all the architecture surrounding the Solar Crown, and the UI design. However, I'm not paying cash for an experience that might be lost media in 10 years.
I was looking forward to this game, until I saw the requirements. It was probably a rushed release, as usual in modern gaming. And it's always online on top of that. I am really afraid that it's gonna flop.

I'm glad they're adding Ibiza and theoretically Oahu in future updates, Ibiza should be coming during season 2. Otherwise, only being 30 square miles in a series known for having huge maps as a selling point would've been kind of embarrassing lmao
The law of diminishing returns is becoming more and more evident by the second. These content creators should explain how they have been able to play a game that don´t go beyond the starting screen. Or ask the publishers why their versions work and the ones from the users don´t. It really looks like a scam at this point where they knew full well that their servers wouldn´t work at all but gave a lot of content creators working servers, to get some money in from all the idiots like me believing that it works seeing so many working content from big youtubers.
Just FYI, I spent 7 hours of attempting to get pass the login screen. Seven. While I understand it is frustrating that the game you paid for does not work and trust me, I felt the same too. But what is not acceptable is to direct your frustration towards content creators just because some were extremely lucky or have managed to found a solution that works for them but not for everyone. EDIT: Also want to add, I did not receive any codes for this game as the whole content creator program is a mess right now with my messages landing on deaf ears.
People buying pc games expecting they work with just one click. I used to run games with way lower than minimum requirement specs and a missing graphic card's capacitor 20 years ago, lately my 970 gtx carried New World better than others' 3060. Tweak your settings or go console 🤷♂.

Don‘t know if you can play it now.
While this game is nowhere close to Forza in terms of gameplay or graphics; some of the issues with Forza Horizon highlighted by others are absolutely true imo. Forza Horizon peaked during FH2 and FH3 was enjoyable because of it's location, after which it became repetitive. FH4 had so much more potential but it too shared the same fate as the last one. FH5 is simply a bland, boring, repetitive and uninspiring culmination of the Horizon franchise.
videogame's are not made with love anymore, one minute into the video and already feels like a gay corporate mess, not a sign of the racing game is supposed to be
After all those years of waiting and hype, I am disappointed with this game. The constant online requirement, the tacky characters models, and the lack of things like cop chases really made this game more of a generic racer than a TDU game.
even NFS Payback is better than this game despite it's slot card upgrades, and the voice overs we're at least sounded like an actual person instead of AI, even though the acting feels like dubbed anime at best

Gooba
@@fliibo dude you are totally missing the point. It has nothing to do with settings, it is an online only game. And if you can‘t connect to the servers it doesn‘t matter if you have a toaster or a 4090, not playable! At least for the first 2 days, because since then i had other things to do. Don‘t know if you can play it now.
This game looks booty!!!
😂😂😂
🍑🍑🍑💨
What console is this out on
It looks....weird
looks like 2010 game
2010? are u jokın? as a guy who played many ps3 racıng games this game doesnt look any damn 2010 games :/ ( ts just my thoughts dont get offended)
@@davutefecoskun1166emulate midnight club la on pc put it on 4k and it looks hella lot better than this
Detroit: Become Racing
Expected 30 minutes of the main menu screen with the occasional error “Failed to log in to platform” flashing on screen, disappointed
mw2012 gtao vibes, just the world doesn't seem to be random
the camera is so weird
won't lie this game looks and sounds trash
Wtf is this size of map?! 😭
Why the lady sound like a robot
The internet is rife with videos critical of FH. I haven't even played this game, but I am already bored.
FH5 is simply a bland, boring, repetitive and uninspiring culmination of the Horizon franchise.
no music, graphics look so bad I'd rather play FH (1) on my X360. Like seriously - I loved TDU and TDU 2 but this? What the hell...
videogame's are not made with love anymore, one minute into the video and already feels like a gay corporate mess, not a sign of the racing game is supposed to be
After all those years of waiting and hype, I am disappointed with this game. The constant online requirement, the tacky characters models, and the lack of things like cop chases really made this game more of a generic racer than a TDU game.
2 clans - Sharps as Conservatives and Streets as Liberals
driving like its still forza, haha
40fps 😢
Need for speed heat looks better then this bro it doesn't look and feel like Pc game
even NFS Payback is better than this game despite it's slot card upgrades, and the voice overs we're at least sounded like an actual person instead of AI, even though the acting feels like dubbed anime at best
@@adlibbed2138dude, dub anime sound way ahead than that this.
@@greninjaartistsenpaitru, even spongebob/hey arnold dub parodies from the late 00's is better
a racing game that doesn't have an offline mode + needs an account to play screams you don't own it and probably bad.
I dont know how but this game looks so bad it probably caused covid19.
🤣🤣🤣
The budget was lower compared to TDU 1 and 2.
@@Blue_Y2K6167 They had a budget??!
@@mrf9583 Obviously they have, but is lower compared to the previous games.
This looks... Bad.. 😂
so soulless...
Even the first TDU is better than this
TDU Solar Crown
What a soulless cash grab using the TDU name. The demo showed us all the game has no right existing. Game is genuinely awful.
cry about it
Can you please find a basketball (or was it football?) court and see, if driving on the court still makes you an astronaut?
Trainwreck... they ruined the franchise..
bruh come on wtf ıs thıs we are not ın 2100 that girl just look like a bot and these technology systems ıdk :/
fov is too low
Такое говно...... TDU1-2 самые лучшие
Please start respecting forza horizon ffs. Wtf is this lmao
looks so outdated
all cars have same speedometers 🤮🤮🤮🤮
This game should be the most anticipated racing games on the year
.....Until KT Racing doing a shitass job by making this "unpolished but still beautiful" game into MMO Always online crap, good job KT Racing you have already ruined one of the cult classic racing games in history
Get CAR X STREET PC version or stick with FH5 at least until this game got a better treatment, at the very very least you can play those games offline
