Like the whole reason TDU2 died was because the new systems came out and it was never made backwards compatible… it’s not like it needed to be one up’d. It was already a great game in its state only thing it lacked was visuals tbh. Some of my most memorable childhood memories came from playing TDU and when I play solar crown I get not one ounce of nostalgia unfortunately. I dont understand how releasing something like this isn't illegal... This has been an all too often occurrence with games for nearly 20 years. It's not even a half put together product. Imagine buying a brand new car from a dealership, and they tell you it needs 300+ fixes after you've bought it. LMFAO!!!! Criminal af. Edit: Yes, I do understand this is on a much smaller scale than buying a brand new car from a dealership, but something has to give. Most of these studios/publishers wield millions, if not billions of dollars. How can it be allowed? The digital product can be in such an unfinished state and thrown in a digital marketplace to be sold to the masses? All I'm asking is for people to do their jobs as me being the consumer for their products.

id say crax street launch was quite good for what it is the complaints were very same, they launched at 20 dollars, worked day and night to fix any issues( apart from small issue their wasn't anything major)
Yes its frustrating, new cars get " testdriven" by the first customers too. But if it atleast drives everywhere in the warranty time its good. TDU:SC´s warranty period is called " Steam Refund" and works pretty good. I just think that the refund window for Demos and Betas should be extended until the final version comes out. And even the 2 hour refund window is too short alot of times.
So they work 6 years to make this game, then launch it like this and delay the patch? What the actual fuck is going on with modern gaming. Why bring TDU back if you're gonna defecate all over it again? Fuck sake I hate modern gaming and this games as a disservice bull.
People who preorder the games are the problem... Lining the pockets of these big publishers/developers that can't even make a playable game. I am a huge TDU fan but as soon as I saw the prerelease marketing and played the beta I knew this was going to be a complete disaster.
I go to off-road , Ferrari, and Lamborghini dealership everyday then the next day I get on it’s like I never even went to those dealers… yet I have all roads discovered 🤦♂️
Its a bug for everybody, although the locations are different. For me I cant unlock any of the fast travel points in the entire bottom left of the map making it a literal 5 minute trip anytime I play to drive down there and unlock it again
Them pushing the Season launch 2 weeks back is a real dick punch. They knew last week they wouldn't meet the deadline. Zero chance they realized with 24 hours to go.....Because of how they are valuing gamers time, I will no longer value theirs. I see no reason they meet at of the roadmap marks at this point.

I remember I was banned from TDUSC community on Steam in 2021 or 2022 just bcz I said that SMM manager who posted "TDUSC will be released this year" on Twitter just during New Year's night at 12 o'clock (bcz probably he was drunk) - that he must be fired for misleading, so I was banned pernanently with the reason "tweet this".
It better not be a cash grab. KT Racing doesn't have a good history either, as far as updating there games go. This will be the last time, if they just took our money and don't move forward with updates. I do know it's a small team of devs, around 💯. 🎉🎉🎉

I log on. Drive a few miles. Get a few bucks and leave. I don’t do races because I get kicked and I don’t enjoy the 30fps against ai lol. Hopefully Oct.2 will improve this game. It has SO much potential

I was looking forward for this game but with the poor performance of the demo, the crap launch and consistent problems, I'm glad I picked up carx street instead, I've played many great drive games, the first TDU was the first time for me playing a race game with a decent wheel and I played the crap out of it, solar crown to me is a really big disappointment
Couldn’t even log in last night due to infinite load save game loop. Hopefully that is fixed. Will test after work, I’m sure all my progress from yesterday is gone
couldn't agree with you more homie. i have 106hrs in the game and my in game map hasn't worked since day 1 literally does not load for me on pc. among other issues. ended up with 2 apollos today somehow and the fact that ranked and the patch got pushed back by 2 weeks is absolutely gonna make me play another game and tdusc will probably have nothing that will make me want to come back. crazy how us as gold players still haven't been compensated for not being able to play early. then they do this. ive raced against 2 people my entire playthrough and one person left mid race.
Committing to such a big patch was a bad idea, if 5 of the 300 fixes fail internal testing and make the game worse then they have to delay releasing the 295 other fixes until everything is good enough. Hope they learn from this.
They got to at bare minimum remove region lock for regular races and the main open world lobby for ranked it can stay but every other mode they have to absolutely remove region lock it’s killing their own game I can careless about crossplay right now but region lock needs to go!!!!
Region locked + No one playing due to horrible connection issues. If they made this offline and made the ranked races online, that probably would fix a lot of these issues. Always online was a stupid idea.
Last night after the last 2 races that I tried I didn't get cash reward. In fact my cash total decreased after a race from what it was before. I closed out the game after that and have decided to wait for an update. Plus knowing that after each race attempt the amount that you earn in one particular race course drops. Doesn't motivate me to keep grinding if the reward decreases in the races that I want to grind on. Especially if I am not getting the reward. Even after restarting the game. So hopefully that's one of the things they are fixing. Maybe it's part of the server issues, I don't know.
my biggest gripe is steering wheel fixes need to come ASAP. I had to set steering angle clear down to 360 degrees. this is f1 steering territory. it still feels as if it's just driving brick wheels. there's no feel to it what so ever.
Well the hypercars race might just not have enough people's cause well the progress isn't that fast I have almost 40h and I am still not there 😅 I guess you should stick to G and D class or even maybe supercars 🤔
Same man… But tip until it’s fixed that worked for me. Set the in game steering sensitivity to 0.5-1.0, in your wheel software 720 or 900 kinda feels better in a way.
I got stuck on the first race since launch. The second one doesn't appear at all. I did a support ticket asking them to reset my save. I only got a reply today, after which I went on and returned the game. This is what they get for making it online only. Insane
I'm sooooo glad everyone else gets to play besides me. Literally crashed after the 1st introductory race and bugged the final introductory race completely off the map. I can't even change cars. I requested a refund, I bought the gold version 😭

I was overly excited, being that I haven't heard anything from TDU since my 360 days so with all the prelaunch content (gameplay excluded) boy was I filled with anticipation only to be let down in the most anticipated way. I have a video up but there's no commentary. Just me driving around trying to figure out how to fix it myself. I even deleted and re downloaded the game to no avail. What's truly sickening is I've been loyal to Sony for close to 20 years if not more and they (Sony) want absolutely nothing to do with my refund request because the content was downloaded and played for over an hour, so yeah, not happy with anything about the game it looks and plays very stiff. NPC cars don't even register until the car pops into frame, you just see 2 headlights coming at you 🤣😭 RIP my hard earned $
I stopped playing since my locations won't save and I refuse to keep having to drive across the map to run a single race. Definitely has things I enjoy over Motorfest but my God at this point November will be here before they patch the damn game and then the community will be jumping ship for the new Island... Fail... Should have never pre ordered
Tdusc demo took 15 minutes to drive the length of the city buildings it seems to have been reduced to a to a small length. Something in the actual city building area is now smaller.
Anyone notice at the end of a race it gives you your new money amount but if u look in the top right corner money, its different from what you just got from the race. In other words it doesn’t always give you your money.
i suspect they cant choose the time when a patch gets released when they submitted, so when they realized it would be after the season starts, they probably had no choice but to delay it.
It's not a big deal just take a break til the patch is released, I'll get frin every now and then but kist keep waiting. Yall gotta think about it as buying the game is an investment to help the devs make it better. This ain't a giant company so in cool with waiting.
I am holding on to this game tightly because I loved the tdu franchise and I have been wanting a 3rd installment for a long time. I trust the devs will deliver, and because they revived tdu there's a lot of expectations and pressure on the devs. I hope I'm not holding on for nothing. I just hope the player base doesn't push the devs to give up. Yes it's far from polished, but they're working on this game and they have made some really good games in the past so I know they can deliver and even if they don't, I'm just happy to have tdu back no matter how much of a wreck it is right now. Hopefully the devs can figure out what going on and bring players back
If they keep being that " good" in terms server optimization and fixes I really want that Offline patch NOW. 4:10 Yeah Steam DB shows a decline already, 5k players for TDU:SC, FH5 usually has 25k players at high points, what suprised me the most is TheCrew2 which has 40k players at high point. How does a Ubisoft game from 2018 still have a larger playerbase than FH5?
I wish they would do ranked races like they do jobs in gta5 online. GTA sends invites to your phones so you can actually see someone wants ppl to do jobs with. Maybe implement something similar when ppl wanna do ranked raced.
the game its fun till you get the error: Connection Timeout return to freeroam while you are in midle of race... lets hope this major patch it will have the offline mode that we all want!
The worst part of this game is the lack of car's no house's and multiple garages. And friends can't even visit you're garages to see your car's not enough customizing cars. Basically everything that would makes test drive great this game doesn't do. It's so sad
Just logged in after todays patch, first race I try to enter, constant connection timeouts, on PC in the UK. Very close to losing all faith in this game, what a waste of an IP.
maybe im wrong but i think the high stakes did work last time, (i managed to get in shortly after it went live) but the hour countdown just doesnt appear, i got on later today and i couldnt get into it, im guessing coz i wasnt quick enough to get on
I can count on one hand the number of times a game was released incomplete with promises of future content updates where those updates ACTUALLY materialised to any sort of satisfaction. I learnt my lesson and never ever ever ever trust devs to uphold their end of the bargain, especially if I am made to pay full price upfront for promises. You look at those Steam numbers and have to ask yourself where the money is going to come from to pay those devs to keep working on content, right? No one can know for sure, but if I were into betting I'd wager it is only a matter of time till it all comes grinding to a halt. Plenty of precedence for this, especially recently.
To all those who hope that there will be an offline mode with the first patch, you will be disappointed, because the developer explicitly said in an interview that there will be no offline mode 😢

Im still having hope for this game but im starting too lose my patience. But I know for sure that you and other youtubers have the ability to revive this game once it gets updated properly. I get a server error message when trying to do a High Stakes event, and that's after today's server update. Incredibly, yesterday I was finally able to do my first Instant challenge. Me and another player had a bit fun with a few challenges.
I’ll be honest, it’s a fantastic foundation for a legendary open world racing game. With that being said, in no way shape and form should this have been released. The lack of diversity in content, lack of things to do in the open world, lack of Test Drive Unlimited features… it’s very disappointing. I genuinely hope they build on this solid foundation and hope for their sake it isn’t too late

I'm really not sure where you're trying to go with this. Most people I've spoken to would have preferred it is KTR had delayed Solar Crown to avoid gamers having to play it in a broken state, yet here we are listening to people who are upset/annoyed/disappointed (whichever) by the fact that Season 1 has been delayed.....to avoid gamers having to play it in a broken state! Words fail me! This isn't "bad news" at all....this is the only sensible thing that KTR have done with Solar Crown since it's launch.

If this game didn't get offline patch and fix anything happens inside the game they pretty much done. Motorfest will hsve offline patch soon + free. Island Expansion with addition of Year 2 pass. FH5 still going strong and we might FH6 announcement next year. Unbound also still getting updates. Competition is so tight this year and if they can't pull this off altogether its gonna be like Concord all over again. Each racing games i mentioned are unique. Motorfest has multiple vehicles, H5 has creativemode, Unbound has PvP system that were more engaging like cops vs racers. Seriously how did they fucked this up???

Anyone else experiencing the issues logging into the game? I have had a problem since yesterday. It was crashing yesterday on start and today 23 sep 2024 I keep getting a message on the screen that says failed to log me into the platform.
I still have the same problems getting kicked out and cannot do rank races. Still I think they just need to take the time and work on the connection Internet and getting kicked off and fix races that comes up with errors. I think they need to take their time instead of rushing.
I am so glad I didn't spend money on this game. Something inside me was telling me to wait, and I am so glad that I did. Now I can sit back and watch everyone stressed out, and pissed off about the money they spent on a game that should of stayed on the shelf another couple years. This game is still in development and in no way should it have been released. Shame on the Developers. I hope people demand their money back. The Developers don't deserve one red cent.
Honestly I dont have any ability or reason to car about seasons/ranked. I cant get into a ranked match for the life of me because of the way the servers work. Only 8 people in the world at a time? How do I manage to get into a ranked match like this?

I was very very close to get this game when it was on early and another time when it launched, after being so burnt out of FH5. After all I saw I kept getting my hopes up for the patch and the season, but decided to wait. Now, after seeing both The Crews on sale I decided to get them both instead, I can't really say I regret it. I get that the people of KT are (or were, not sure) on strike but come on... It's so sad to see Test Drive get this low.
Xbox pot was just 4.7mil for high stakes. I blew my chances, forgot it was 3 tries max haha. Having more lobby time out/errors than I did before the maintenance but now it’s leaving me in a world by myself like I am legend, places still not saving, ranked is still a game of solitaire.
This game desperately needs an Offline feature akin to what the first two games were like. I'm not even interested in Rank races. It's fun to drive around in free roam w friends or randoms, but I've no interest in racing against other players.

I have tried to defend this game as much as I can. The game is fun at times but I truly can’t defend this game anymore when I have had more fun playing American truck simulator and building a dirt house In Minecraft. I think for pvp it should be like NFS unbound where it gives the option to start a race with players or just have a dedicated PVP mode where it's just racing? I really want to races with other players but it's just dead man it's sad

During Early access I couldn't login for 5 days, after the first big maintenance I was able to login did 7 hours of gameplay nothing saved logged in yesterday tried again only for it to bug and when I tried to refund it Sony denied it, I honestly feel we should have the right to refund the game if its in this state, if they allowed it for Cyberpunk they should allow it for SC I gave it a few changes but I am just sick of the endless problems. Refund was denied because I installed the game and played it, my friend got the same response
I bought the $100 premium edition for FH5 with early access, the whole early access was buggy and couldn't even play with friends. It took a few weeks to get it running decent and a few months to get it running properly and that's a AAA studio. We should all Relax as long as you love the game, it'll be fine eventually my guys 🤙
damn the playstation version seems messed up, I've not had any problems with servers or loss of progress on pc in my 35 hours of playing. hope it gets fixed for yall soon.
Can’t say I didn’t see this coming. Put 3.7 hours in and then nothing else when I realized the game didn’t have legs and was simultaneously gong to try to kill my graphics card. Just wasn’t worth it at the end of the day and it didn’t deliver on the promise of other test drive games. The map is too small, the online features don’t work, no houses, it’s just missing everything I was hoping for.
3.7 hours isn’t giving it enough of a chance. Honestly map is more dense than Ibiza or Hawaii. There’s a solid single player offering just play it a little more.

Nacon/KT racing is also developing another game MXGP 24. I heard they went on strike, mostly during the prelaunch of this game. I never researched it. This is was I was told. I play motocross games. Us MXGP 24 fans are just waiting for a delay. Also this will be the first year for Nacon/KT racing to develop MXGP. To me it sounds like they took on too much

Atleast they are trying to fix the game! There needs to be a Pvp option though picking a specific route I feel like narrows our options!

I was looking forward for this game but with the poor performance of the demo, the crap launch and consistent problems, I'm glad I picked up carx street instead, I've played many great drive games, the first TDU was the first time for me playing a race game with a decent wheel and I played the crap out of it, solar crown to me is a really big disappointment

couldn't agree with you more homie. i have 106hrs in the game and my in game map hasn't worked since day 1 literally does not load for me on pc. among other issues. ended up with 2 apollos today somehow and the fact that ranked and the patch got pushed back by 2 weeks is absolutely gonna make me play another game and tdusc will probably have nothing that will make me want to come back. crazy how us as gold players still haven't been compensated for not being able to play early. then they do this. ive raced against 2 people my entire playthrough and one person left mid race.

Committing to such a big patch was a bad idea, if 5 of the 300 fixes fail internal testing and make the game worse then they have to delay releasing the 295 other fixes until everything is good enough. Hope they learn from this.

They got to at bare minimum remove region lock for regular races and the main open world lobby for ranked it can stay but every other mode they have to absolutely remove region lock it’s killing their own game I can careless about crossplay right now but region lock needs to go!!!!

Region locked + No one playing due to horrible connection issues. If they made this offline and made the ranked races online, that probably would fix a lot of these issues. Always online was a stupid idea.
Last night after the last 2 races that I tried I didn't get cash reward. In fact my cash total decreased after a race from what it was before. I closed out the game after that and have decided to wait for an update. Plus knowing that after each race attempt the amount that you earn in one particular race course drops. Doesn't motivate me to keep grinding if the reward decreases in the races that I want to grind on. Especially if I am not getting the reward. Even after restarting the game. So hopefully that's one of the things they are fixing. Maybe it's part of the server issues, I don't know.

my biggest gripe is steering wheel fixes need to come ASAP. I had to set steering angle clear down to 360 degrees. this is f1 steering territory. it still feels as if it's just driving brick wheels. there's no feel to it what so ever.

I got stuck on the first race since launch. The second one doesn't appear at all. I did a support ticket asking them to reset my save. I only got a reply today, after which I went on and returned the game. This is what they get for making it online only. Insane
I'm sooooo glad everyone else gets to play besides me. Literally crashed after the 1st introductory race and bugged the final introductory race completely off the map. I can't even change cars. I requested a refund, I bought the gold version 😭

I was overly excited, being that I haven't heard anything from TDU since my 360 days so with all the prelaunch content (gameplay excluded) boy was I filled with anticipation only to be let down in the most anticipated way. I have a video up but there's no commentary. Just me driving around trying to figure out how to fix it myself. I even deleted and re downloaded the game to no avail. What's truly sickening is I've been loyal to Sony for close to 20 years if not more and they (Sony) want absolutely nothing to do with my refund request because the content was downloaded and played for over an hour, so yeah, not happy with anything about the game it looks and plays very stiff. NPC cars don't even register until the car pops into frame, you just see 2 headlights coming at you 🤣😭 RIP my hard earned $

Definitely has things I enjoy over Motorfest but my God at this point November will be here before they patch the damn game and then the community will be jumping ship for the new Island... Fail... Tdusc demo took 15 minutes to drive the length of the city buildings it seems to have been reduced to a to a small length. Something in the actual city building area is now smaller.
Anyone notice at the end of a race it gives you your new money amount but if u look in the top right corner money, its different from what you just got from the race. In other words it doesn’t always give you your money.
The season was basically the only thing I have left to look forward to as I've done everything else.

I am holding on to this game tightly because I loved the tdu franchise and I have been wanting a 3rd installment for a long time. I trust the devs will deliver, and because they revived tdu there's a lot of expectations and pressure on the devs. I hope I'm not holding on for nothing. I just hope the player base doesn't push the devs to give up. Yes it's far from polished, but they're working on this game and they have made some really good games in the past so I know they can deliver and even if they don't, I'm just happy to have tdu back no matter how much of a wreck it is right now. Hopefully the devs can figure out what going on and bring players back

4:10 Yeah Steam DB shows a decline already, 5k players for TDU:SC, FH5 usually has 25k players at high points, what suprised me the most is TheCrew2 which has 40k players at high point. How does a Ubisoft game from 2018 still have a larger playerbase than FH5?

The worst part of this game is the lack of car's no house's and multiple garages. And friends can't even visit you're garages to see your car's not enough customizing cars. Basically everything that would makes test drive great this game doesn't do. It's so sad

maybe im wrong but i think the high stakes did work last time, (i managed to get in shortly after it went live) but the hour countdown just doesnt appear, i got on later today and i couldnt get into it, im guessing coz i wasnt quick enough to get on
I can count on one hand the number of times a game was released incomplete with promises of future content updates where those updates ACTUALLY materialised to any sort of satisfaction. I learnt my lesson and never ever ever ever trust devs to uphold their end of the bargain, especially if I am made to pay full price upfront for promises. You look at those Steam numbers and have to ask yourself where the money is going to come from to pay those devs to keep working on content, right? No one can know for sure, but if I were into betting I'd wager it is only a matter of time till it all comes grinding to a halt. Plenty of precedence for this, especially recently.

I get a server error message when trying to do a High Stakes event, and that's after today's server update. Incredibly, yesterday I was finally able to do my first Instant challenge. Me and another player had a bit fun with a few challenges.
Luckily my high stakes still worked. 3 mil pot and I'm in 4th.
Not all locations are saved after you log off and back in. Also i'm still getting Lobby errors.

I’ll be honest, it’s a fantastic foundation for a legendary open world racing game. With that being said, in no way shape and form should this have been released. The lack of diversity in content, lack of things to do in the open world, lack of Test Drive Unlimited features… it’s very disappointing. I genuinely hope they build on this solid foundation and hope for their sake it isn’t too late

If this game didn't get offline patch and fix anything happens inside the game they pretty much done. Motorfest will hsve offline patch soon + free. Island Expansion with addition of Year 2 pass. FH5 still going strong and we might FH6 announcement next year. Unbound also still getting updates. Competition is so tight this year and if they can't pull this off altogether its gonna be like Concord all over again. Each racing games i mentioned are unique. Motorfest has multiple vehicles, H5 has creativemode, Unbound has PvP system that were more engaging like cops vs racers. Seriously how did they fucked this up???

Anyone else experiencing the issues logging into the game? I have had a problem since yesterday. It was crashing yesterday on start and today 23 sep 2024 I keep getting a message on the screen that says failed to log me into the platform.
After their maintenance I started having all the issues people were saying before, so it got worse for me
I still have the same problems getting kicked out and cannot do rank races. Still I think they just need to take the time and work on the connection Internet and getting kicked off and fix races that comes up with errors. I think they need to take their time instead of rushing.

Honestly I dont have any ability or reason to car about seasons/ranked. I cant get into a ranked match for the life of me because of the way the servers work. Only 8 people in the world at a time? How do I manage to get into a ranked match like this?

I was very very close to get this game when it was on early and another time when it launched, after being so burnt out of FH5. After all I saw I kept getting my hopes up for the patch and the season, but decided to wait. Now, after seeing both The Crews on sale I decided to get them both instead, I can't really say I regret it. I get that the people of KT are (or were, not sure) on strike but come on... It's so sad to see Test Drive get this low.

Xbox pot was just 4.7mil for high stakes. I blew my chances, forgot it was 3 tries max haha. Having more lobby time out/errors than I did before the maintenance but now it’s leaving me in a world by myself like I am legend, places still not saving, ranked is still a game of solitaire.
This game desperately needs an Offline feature akin to what the first two games were like. I'm not even interested in Rank races. It's fun to drive around in free roam w friends or randoms, but I've no interest in racing against other players.
The main reason I cancelled my preorder, was because of the lame graphics on the cars.

During Early access I couldn't login for 5 days, after the first big maintenance I was able to login did 7 hours of gameplay nothing saved logged in yesterday tried again only for it to bug and when I tried to refund it Sony denied it, I honestly feel we should have the right to refund the game if its in this state, if they allowed it for Cyberpunk they should allow it for SC I gave it a few changes but I am just sick of the endless problems.

I bought the $100 premium edition for FH5 with early access, the whole early access was buggy and couldn't even play with friends. It took a few weeks to get it running decent and a few months to get it running properly and that's a AAA studio. We should all Relax as long as you love the game, it'll be fine eventually my guys 🤙

Can’t say I didn’t see this coming. Put 3.7 hours in and then nothing else when I realized the game didn’t have legs and was simultaneously gong to try to kill my graphics card. Just wasn’t worth it at the end of the day and it didn’t deliver on the promise of other test drive games. The map is too small, the online features don’t work, no houses, it’s just missing everything I was hoping for.

3.7 hours isn’t giving it enough of a chance. Honestly map is more dense than Ibiza or Hawaii. There’s a solid single player offering just play it a little more.

Nacon/KT racing is also developing another game MXGP 24. I heard they went on strike, mostly during the prelaunch of this game. I never researched it. This is was I was told. I play motocross games. Us MXGP 24 fans are just waiting for a delay. Also this will be the first year for Nacon/KT racing to develop MXGP. To me it sounds like they took on too much
