In the controller settings, you can fine tune the deadzones of all your steering inputs, camera controls, and throttle and brake mappings. You can even test the input in the menu to see them in real time. I’d recommend turning off reduced intervals (removes big deadzone that’s automatically applied) and setting all your deadzones as low as you can without getting stick drift. The settings will be different for each individual controller and you’ll have to change the settings for each direction. It’ll take a while to finesse everything to your liking but it’s worth it overall. If you’ve played any shooters on controller this won’t be new to you. Thought I’d tell you since I’ve seen a lot of misinformation in other videos and you have the bigger audience. Hope this helps somebody.

One thing I want to state. It seems like the Dev forgot that TDU series isnt a racing game series, its a driving game. I loved both TDU1 and 2 both i knew the driving physics in both were bad. I loved being able to buy and customize my own house, drive my friend around in a new car, or even manage my garage. In TDU2 you had like 5 different racing challenges but you akso had photos challenges, online clubs, package delivery, uber like missions and tailing missions. There would genuinely be days where I wouldnt race at all in TDU.
Tdu was always on mmo racer, but it's driving elements were unique because of the car's features like indicators, windows, etc. tdusc has gotten those features, so they haven't forgotten completely.
Well said. I played TDU 1 and 2. Even on TDU 1 without all of those extra's, I still enjoyed simply driving around and it wasnt all about racing for me.
Some cars in cockpit view has you feel like your avatar is sitting in the back seat while driving. You can bring the view closer by going to Camera under options and changing Driver - camera depth to -10. Note this will change the view for all cars, but you can tweak and adjust as necessary if you are a cockpit view purist. Another tip - you'll often find the collectibles by finding tracks that aren't marked on your map. Once you have found and collected it, hold Y on controller to respawn and it will put you back at the intersection of the main road, to save you having to drive all the way back.
The downforce tuning is counterintuitive to what you would think. Moving it negative increases downforce and moving it positive decreases downforce. Also in the menus most things have front top and rear bottom but a couple things are reversed (camber if i remember right) so just double check that youre adjusting the correct end of your car before you move the sliders
Thank you so much. I love this game and look forward to its glory days. However, bumpy as the road may be. We will eventually get there, in the end. LETS GO TEST DRIVE🤙🥂💯👍💪
I have a problem with some of the sports cars being very slidey. When moving quickly from side to side, the car tends to fishtail a lot. It doesn't matter if I am on or off the throttle. I feel like a car like the Ford GT with semi slicks shouldn't slide like that simply from changing lanes. Is it possible to tune this out? I know adding a ton of downforce will help, but then I will lose every race due to the lack of speed.
I picked this game (gold edition) up for $52, i've been having fun in the game n havnt had many issues. (performance/server wise). The game played a hell of a lot better once i learned how to turn on manual and turn off assists. (except i found i had to keep 50-75% ABS). I went w/the Nissan starter car, n love how that thing handles (just hard throwing it around n ebrake turning).. but the AI in the circuit race events... i stand no chance. I just bought the Audi before i quit the game cuz i saw a challenge to buy a daily driver car early on, n i knew that car was a strong one, so hopefully i can beat those lower level circuit races now. That nissan for sure loses a lot of time n speed when you throw it in a lil too hard n get the back end a lil loose, n have to get ur momentum going again. When i played the demo, i used the Alpine, i enjoyed that car. But i wanted to try a diff car this time, n i enjoyed the nissan when i test drove it. HOPEFULLY this game can recover from the rough start. I loved TDU games n set the benchmark for what i wanted out of open world racing games n have been sad no other game really captured that same magic to me. Horizon 1, was a huge letdown for me when that came out. I do enjoy the horizon series, and i'm sad TDU chose to not go the direction of their past which made it great, w/the houses n better car dealership experience. (tho it's been a long time since i played that game, i guess the ones now dont do too bad of a job). N the lack of car customization is a lil disappointing.

Also one race glitches, i tried several times no luck with that. Now i want to restart the whole game. Is there any way to do that? I couldn't find any way to do that.
