@@nickchristian2506 I love PIL's 1st album (which John wasn't on), but not the later ones, including the one(s) with John. Wasn't really a fan of The Armoury Show, either, which John was also in. He was also in Visage, which I also didn't like. For me his best stuff, by far, was with Magazine, and Siouxsie And The Banshees.

My favourite song of all time from one of my favourite groups of all time. And yes, that descending chord is ridiculously familiar from The Glitter Band's 'Rock 'n' Roll Parts 1&2' but it certainly isn't plagiarism. I've loved Magazine since 1978 as a 12 year old kid and still love them today 💙

Oh your spoiling us with these Ferraro-Rocher Ambassador!.. no it’s not the Jools Holland live performance, that was 25 years after this and with a different guitarist , the late great John McGeoch having jumped ship to Siouxsie and the Banshees and subsequently passed away - but what a substitute , it’s the original video for the track and it’s simply flawless .
Ive had a couple of hours sleep now and put me in such a great mood for this cold but sunny Saturday which in under an hour is gonna see the start of the Liverpool v Man City titanic struggle where I will be roaring the reds on ! “ Moan the Pool” 😅

You will notice that the lead guitarist is the one and only Robert Smith of the cure. You can get it on u tube by typing "something else, souxsie and the banshees. If you want to sometime. Magazine are one of those weird bands who I am not sure did a great deal, unlike the Jam or Stranglers, but maybe I am being unfair. Shot By Both Sides is by far the best in my view and the most punky song, whilst this song is perhaps more typical of them. Thanks for the mention!
