Literally about to switch from a Triton to a Mira Sprint so thanks for this video. Really well explained. I’ve never done this before so you’ve increased my confidence 😊
Good video. I really like the Triton shower but sometimes it’s a bit tricky getting the shower flush to the wall because the compression elbow has to be partly recessed in the wall. Customers have complained the Mira Spring is a bit noisy.
I was a bit nervous that you might drop the former or the bender on the shower tray ,not a good place to drop heavy tools, apart from that you done a very good install.👍👍👍
Thank you so much. Realised i didn't need to remove shower face to replace damaged hose and that i should turn connection clockwise not anti clockwise to unscrew. Had to cancel my handyman .Shame.lol.Thanks again my friend
Sick guy - made that look like a walk in the park lol. Great informative video. Keep all this content coming brother, Maybe some more boiler fault finding videos but yeah overall 10/10 watched whole thing! God bless!
Great vid, thanks. I’m stuck between a Mira Jump or Sprint and a Triton T80Z or Ivory 4 (previous shower). I’m doing a ground up DIY renovation of my bathroom and this vid helps a lot with connection differences between the two. It looks like there’s more room to work on and fit the water pipe on the Mira. Only thing is I don’t have a pipe bend tool so either a flexi or soldered right angle will have to do.
looking for a new one to replace the triton, and them mira showers are defiantly more faff, the power coming in is higher than water so them back runners are just what the doctor ordered
A very good instructional video, very clear. This has given me a good idea aboythow to go about replacing a 14 year old Mira Sport with this Mira Sprint although I think I am going to use a flexible connector between the water pipe and the inlet on the unit. My skills and tools are not up to shaping metal pipes precisely! Many thanks.
@@PlumbingDoctors I would agree,if you are doing a replacement job, then get as near as damn it the same body/mountings.It will save you a world of hurt during installations.Don't try and cheap out on flexy connections. You want an absolutely butt flush mating surface if you can, with just a washer/olive or two to be exchanged with new.
Good job sir I have the same unit but don’t have correct water connections so will approach a plumber to fit as don’t know how to remove the current water connection to fit the Mira don’t want my mothering law blaming me for a water leak behind the wall.
Great video mate, lots of good tips, think after watching this i will have a go at changing mine. What size cable T&E should i use for that shower. Thanks for the video, i hope more co tent to come, ie: WC, taps, problems you can come across etc, thanks Kevin
really good video waseem. personally I would have just done a straight swap for the old triton 10.5kw. I've recently done the same.I did have a t80z water cannon 10.5kw,but recently downsized to th 8.5kw eco. Had water pressure issues previously too when some git downstairs decided to flush the toilet!! Since the new eco model installed I've had nice constantly hot showers!( due to lower flow rate required), and the same body and mounting points meant it was under an hour to rip out and refit.Nice to know given the shocking energy price rises I can be a bit more frugal too. Triton T80Z ECO is a fantastic shower.Even more so now we have to be energy/resource conscious and make better use of the limited resources we have.It works on 6L/Min and low pressure systems too.Actual delivery on eco is about 3L/min and stays hot even with a pressure drop. Worth the extra £50 over a standard T80Z fast fit for sure.
Great Video but a few questions . Could i use qualpex half inch ( 15mm ) pipe instead of having to bend copper pipe . Qualpex is flexible enough and i would still use the compression fittings with inserts of course and ptfe tape . is the ptfe tape even required .?. Also the cold feed into the shower , should that come from the large Black expansion tank in the attic i.e gravity flow or should it come directly from the Main cold water supply . My shower at the moment dosent seem to have great pressure . Thanks
Hi, I like your video, a question if you don't mind, I am replacing Triton with a Mira sport max. Do I need to worry about the cables? Thanks very much
Good video thanks. I am having trouble with triton enrich electrical showers. Just have new replacement 3 days ago and it won't turn off with the dial, makes a whirring sound and drips water when off. To stop, it have to turn a cold rap on and then turn off at Pull Cord to stop it. ?
Good vid but how would you install that when your pipe is from the top on the right and close to the wall with 6 inch showing and the rest behind tiles?
I can tell you stay far away from Bristan electric showers as in my experience they’ve just been trouble . Installing wasn’t the issue but what is would be 1 it’s always putting CL on the digital screen and second of all it keeps going up and down in temperature constantly. I’m really thinking of changing it for a Mira or triton electric shower and I’d have to get the 9.5KW model. I’m so fed up with Bristan. Don’t think I’ll ever buy a bristan electric shower ever again.
If your temperature is all over the place it sounds like your water pressure can't handle it.very common problem indeed. the litmus test is running the shower and the cold tap together. If you notice any drop off out of the shower hose then you need a lower flow rate shower to start with. Most people have overpowered showers to be honest.
@@bigmacntings7451 changed it for a Mira and that shower has been faultless ever since it was installed. Not sure what the CL meant on the Bristan shower but that doesn’t bother me any more because the Mira has been working like it should be.
Hello I moved into a property with this shower in it triton t80 When i turn it on, it takes about 30 seconds for the water to go from completely cold to ideal What would be causing this? The previous house i lived, had a different old shower, which never did this
sorry to say that mira shower are not what they were , i fitted this shower and it lasted 11 months , noisy and the switch on the front needs cleaning as it jams on ,
Have one of these keeps going if after couple of minutes hot water will come for few minutes then cold will start coming don’t under like u said only needs 0.7bar to come on
it's not rocket science though. i find commissioning triton showers a complete breeze compared to mira though.no silly bleed valves. just turn temperature to cold, power setting to cold and turn on power, alternate thermostat dial between cold+hot 5 seconds each 10 times, then turn the power setting to hot to check feel of water.very very easy indeed.

A lot of skill is required bro, to be this super smooth.
Salaam.
Wslaam, practice practice practice

But it was happy ending

I would go for Mira & yes use soldered joint instead of the bend
Thanks.
Good video , the only bugbear I have is levelling up something when the tile lines should already be level ..but that's just me .
True that
Very good, very explanatory, many thanks!
Thanks
Wicked videos I learn so much from you . You are a top dog
Thanks
All round very professional job enjoyed the video
👍🏻
thanks mate a very easy video to follow

Very good information you make it look easy cheers

Nice Video You never said you have to buy pipe bends yourself not supplied in box would be nice if they did.
yes would be nice but would cost a premium 😀

Them flexible tap connectors do the job but are not recommended

Insha'Allah... i usually do but will keep this in mind

Price varies

Need to come from the mains you should be able to use any compression type fitting to confirm you could give the manufacturer a quick call
@@PlumbingDoctors ok thanks for that .
Great instructional video. Thanks.
great video 👍
So many different showers with different connection locations
Thanks for sharing your work.
No probs
Respect awesome video as always.

Hello sir, do you use a standard brass elbow that has washers for the shower inlet?
Thanks for the great helpful channel.
compression brass elbow with olives

Thank you! Cheers!
Great vid 👌
You ever fitted a Mira sport max shower? Just wondering if that air boost makes much difference?
Yes i have.. I have video on my Facebook or Instagram showing you the difference in pressure with Air boost ... & yes it does improve the pressure
What's up. Respect
respect
Hi mate good vid, could you do this using push fit, I've got loads of it spare
You don't want to use push on on the actual shower connection only compression
Great Video
😀
nice one, cheers
Enjoy the Vid's Waseem, but Dang - cover them trays Bro. 👍
Lol thanks for feedback but ive never covered the trays and never had an issue bro
Nice thanks
👍🏼
Nice one

What tile drill bit you use? That pissed through the tile
Bosch muti purpose from SF or TL... used them for years on tile and brick

Hey! its like any other shower to be honest
Hello! …….. From Canada.
Hello sir
job done
Mira jump control knob is not adjusting temperature.
Any suggestions
not sure sorry
Hello, how do i go on, because my water pipe isn't hidden in the wall, is it still possable to fit?
yes u can remove the grommet from shower
Why not use a shower pump
Why use a pump
Have one of these keeps going if after couple of minutes hot water will come for few minutes then cold will start coming don’t under like u said only needs 0.7bar to come on
Don’t understand*

usually low pressure issue or if old best to replace
And you didn't show the commissioning process
😶

Is it dangerous if the shower is leaking from the bottom it a mira soort
it shows you have an issue
