Hi good one slightly higher inlet than normal but you sussed her out well. It’s never straight forward helps if it’s a stud wall and bit of play in pipe. The showers where the inlet swivels both sides and also electrics is handy. I guess it’s a compromise between what’s handiest to install and what customer wants etc. Great video and nice silicone round the tray as well. Keep em coming.
very interesting job. combine plumber's and electrician's job. replacing shower in special location shall notice building control and sign off electrical certs with some test carried out. such as inspect circuit breaker current rating, type, cable size, RCD etc.
@@SmartPipePlumbing sorry mate. not offend. that is noticeable job. you can consult with some electrician or NICEIC. the old wiring maybe has major fault such as no RCD protected, cable downsized, circuit breaker not suitable, earth loop impedance high, to protect yourself , had better get part P qualified and get instruments to test after job done. thanks a minor works certificate is supplied for an alteration or addition to an electrical circuit. You are not technically making an alteration or addition to the 'circuit' .. however, for the replacement of a shower unit i always issue a minor works . Wouldn't do one for a replacement socket for example but this is equipment installed within a wet environment, a few minor tests would help.
@@SmartPipePlumbing I know the reality of what the trade it is now. in reality I found lots of electric shower not installed properly, when you replace like for like shower, that doesn't mean what the replacement shower is right model suit for the cable size ,circuit breaker type, RCD device etc. The person replace old shower shall inspect all aspect of the shower installation and make sure it will apply latest requirements. If you carried out inspection and done necessary test, I would say yes you can do it. otherwise has advice customer to find electrician to do this kind of job. totally not offend, just remind you this kind of job is high risk.
@hu yongquan with respect to what you are saying the same can be said about the sparky being upto date with the water regs . Do they know how to alter the pipework if its too short are they cihp registered , do they understand plumbing systems . We can all wax lyrical & beat our chests as to who should be installing these showers. A decent plumber plying his trade will know about cable sizes rcds etc & kW rating. You seem to elude that this guy doesn't know what he's doing. I agree not every shower is a 1 size fits all. You are also missing out on the DIY guys , they're the ones that you should be telling but of course they don't really run a you tube channel for plumbing!!
Cheers mate. Gave me the confidence to change my own mira sprint which is knackered. I was concerned it was going to be an electrical mess!
Glad I could help

Yeah, you’ve read too many books, find me a plumber that actually doesn’t that in a replacement not a new install?

id argue that the mira sprints are better than the sports !
I’m one to agree
Forgot to say good tip on siliconing screw holes thanks sometimes it’s easy to miss those cheers.
Little tip I do is , instead of using a compression elbow through the wall I use a bent iso valve 👍
Not a bad shout at all is that cheers for the tip 🙌
how long duration of the level 2 plumber course to start a job or work to start earning in the UK and need your valuable reply.
Thanks
Experience is key, time wise everyone is different
Nice one
Cheers mate
Good one pal 👍🏻

Mine goes from extreme hot to extreme cold, it has the correct water pressure but still gives me this problem
It could be the heating element or sensors in the unit it’s self

I always go like for like 🤓
I Don't give a choice to the client.
Everything lines up and no screw holes or stress 😬
I usually do too, but like to give a cheaper option aswell
@@SmartPipePlumbing Good work ain't cheap and cheap work ain't good 🤓
