All we're gonna eventually be able to buy are SUV's and Crossovers from Haval, Cherry, Hyundai etc.. And i hate stupid crossovers. Give us nice sedans like the ones in America, the Kia Forte etc..
This car was always too expensive for what it offered past the first generation. Chery,Haval,Suzuki, Toyota and even Kia have better value models in their lineup. overall Nissan cars for what they offer, the price doesnt add up.
Yes you will. Dealers are required to stock parts for at least 10 years after a product has been discontinued. After that non-oem (after-market) parts are generally freely available.
They just decided to discontinue Qashqai while they’ve just down a midlife facelift which now looks like the Chinese cars and here in South Africa it was gonna up their sales now.
It's the pricing. They've outpriced themselves out of the market. Next will be Honda. Old Japanese cars have become too expensive. Thank goodness for Suzuki and the Chinese. Korean Brands best take note and rectify their strategies - they also seem to be going that way. VW is on a big downhill - They have done the same with pricing but seem to be more resilient because they have had chart topping sales previously but the last 2 Generations have not been good value and not as reliable as the models of the 2000s upon which they built their reputation. Its pretty much Suzuki, some of the Korean models and the Chinese Brands which are not only affordable but give you most value in terms of features.
Nissan Micra, NP 200, Almera and now the overpriced Qashqai. Man at 670k for a 1.3 L , four pot CVT... quite nervy of Nissan SA . Next will be the X-Trail, because doesn't matter how good it is I'm not paying 810k for the AWD CVT which is the one to have. 550k max when new.
I think they also take us for granted! Why did they not put a sunroof on it top of the ranger Qashqai model in South Africa? Why don't we have a diesel engine? Why don't we have all wheel drive? While other countries have all these options?
Ei whatever is happening @Nissan SA they better get their ducks in a Row. 1st the current model arrived late on our Shores. Now they discontinuing it and bringing a Facelift instead
The Chinese onslaught, next it will be honda CRV, Xtrail, Outlander, Peugeot suvs, they cant survive unless they bring substandard products like suzuki to reduce prices The qashqai is a good reliable car, still drive the first generation, as a run around, and no issues 12 years later, but I doubt I would buy another Nissan, nissan service was very bad, I kept the car running using independent garages.
There’s something Nissan SA is not telling us. First it was the NP200, now it’s the Qashqai… 🤔
And the Z and the GT-R and the Micra and the Pathfinder
they are trimming in all markets except Europe for some reason.
Nissan SA is and always hasbeen useless
Nissan South Africa will have no products left. Still sad they got rid of the GT-R and refuse to bring in the new Z and Pathfinder.
the only things Nissan will sell by the end of next year will be the Frontier and the NP200
Another chopping block candidate is the Honda CR-V. I don't foresee lots of sales of that model here in Mzasi
This seems to be the start of many more well "known" car brands that will be closing up shop in our country... eish, Mzanzi is not alright anymore
Lol don't worry with the DA investment will rise

Nissan SA should have played open cards.
There have been quite a few specials on them, but they should have said it is a run out
So that young man is Skobho😭
i am still asking myself the young boy is an example of "skobo" manje😳. Is this one of those Clicks stunts we need to make trend?
Dave spitting the facts. Goodbye Nissan, hello China??
You must be crazy buying a SUV with 1.5 liter engine😂😂😂😂
Especially paired with that annoying CVT
Nooo Nissan SA nooo!! 😢😢 we loosing you slowly bit surely
Any review on the Magnite?
Beautiful car,
No Sunroof, high price.
Chery Tiggo7 is a much better value proposition.
What more of Nissan SA is left, Navara and X-Trail?
I will miss the diesel 1500km Qashqai
would i still be able to receive servicing and car parts of the nissan qashqai of the current generation?
I was about to ask the same.
Yes you will. Dealers are required to stock parts for at least 10 years after a product has been discontinued. After that non-oem (after-market) parts are generally freely available.
@@antonels4571 Ek is baie dankie. appreciate the clarity. very useful information, we really do learn everyday.

this looks like nissan Kicks which is discontinued in india 2 year back
This one is not that tiny in real life like the Nissan kicks
Their catalog will soon be only Navara and trucks. Qashqai is expensive in relation to the Chinese onslaught.
“Okay bye” 💯👏😂
They are going to leave South Africa, closing down plants.... watch this space.
So sad
SA can get all the dumping chyneese cars. Good luck with reliability in the tyolos

Np200 , dead
Quasqai, dead
Almera,dead.
Nissan, dead.

It was WAY too expensive! Beautiful car but it had NO chance against the Chinese SUVs.
Ford went down this path. Once you lose market share, it's very difficult to gain it back.
Ei whatever is happening @Nissan SA they better get their ducks in a Row. 1st the current model arrived late on our Shores. Now they discontinuing it and bringing a Facelift instead
We're not getting the facelift
Nissan SA is useless, always have been! So many good cars they refused to bring here over the years
Dude you sound like the other guy hahahahahaha Ciro De Silver hahahahaha that's what I call him anyway.
The skobo part killed me 😂😂😂
Has the new Nissan Juke not come to SA?
Quiet quitting at its finest..

All these jokes are painfully cringe
