- In the second installment of my Telethrasher series, where I am building my ideal metal weapong from a TheFretWire TL deluxe kit, I'm taking apart the stock build to prepare for mods and finishing. I also quickly go over some things to reference and try to make the building process easier to manage. It's not an incredible door busting mind blowing list of tips, but it is really helpful. In the next video I'll be attempting to install binding on this bad boy!

Also this whole video (except the guitar playing intro) was filmed on an Iphone 13 pro max. How did it come out using the phone? Look good to you or should I switch back to the DSLR?
iphone did a good job.
@@BrianVaughn Glad you thought so! It made it easy to move the camera around and set up compared to the DSLR.
It seemed pretty good, though a little noisy in the beginning.
@@JamesStoup the beginning with the guitar playing scenes? Because that was my dslr. Lol. The settings got all screwed up or it wrote to the memory card really weirdly. It was disappointing to see on the big screen lol

Use guides next time to get straighter lines instead of freehanding it. That's the only tip. Also your solo while you were cutting strings was dope.
Yeah I thought about setting up some sort of guide for straighter lines but ended up just being lazy lol. Since it’s under the pockguard I wasn’t too worried though it would have been muuuuch cleaner looking. Thanks for watching dude. Also that was a hell of a solo hahaha
Did you use the internal audio from the phone as well for the video? Taking a router to a guitar body looks like a horrifying experience, but glad it worked out. Looking forward to episode 3
I'm using a wireless lav mic for the iphone. It's a Movo Edge DI lav mic. IT works pretty damn well and I think sounds good without any hiss like a lot of cheap lav mics. The routing wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. Also I finished routing for bdinging today and it went pretty damn well...not perfect but good. Episode 3 is in the works!
