Some of these tierlists feel like they have predictable placements even for me as a casual player, but a chipcode tierlist would be a WEALTH of knowledge o_o
Something you glossed over about Roll, if you boost her damage it also boosts her healing by the same amount. Since she hits 3 times, that means a doublepoint will raise her damage AND healing by 60x3, meaning an hp swing from double point roll 3 is 720. (360 damage + 360 healing) A game changing amount for 2 chips. You can also get a free rageboost against rush by not mashing.
10:30-10:35 Count hits 5 times with the rain so that's 250 damage in his effective area (which is basically just the opponent's default area regardless of area control so its a 3x3 attack radius) and the blood spike is at least an extra 50 (I know its 50 on his weakest version but I forget if it increases in damage on his SP version). If you add ATK +30 and dblpoint with it he now does 140 per hit for a total of 700 damage + whatever his blood spike deals. Add in the 2x damage boost from rage/counter hit and you're looking at a mega chip doing at least 1400 damage. Additional ATK +10s bring that up to 1600 before blood spike as well. Outside of elemental counters, I'm fairly certain this is the hardest hitting "consistent" chip as it's probably possible for something like Gregar Bass with the same 30/Dblpt setup to do more damage but that's pretty RNG dependant. If it weren't for B tier being defined as "situationally" good, I'd honestly argue for an S tier placement because of that potential damage, but needing the right chip line-up as well as hoping you're not in Slash-lock positioning kinda matches the B-tier description perfectly.
Looking back at this, I'd combine C & F tier. Bump Elecman and Heatman down a tier. Maybe bump up Colonel but doesn't matter since it doesn't see much play. Slashman in B tier. Aquaman down to A tier and Blastman to S tier. Setting up grass isn't much of an issue for the 2x plus half the time it's already done for you. Aquaman SP is very powerful but imo the A code brings it down a bit, otherwise i agree with it being in S for the other reasons mentioned.
I definitely think I under-sold Blastman a bit, grass panels are very easy to setup and hitting Tomahawk is massive! And at that point you may as well add Protoman who decrosses Tengu too
I’m curious to know why Double beast is the strongest mega chip in the game, can it be boosted in terms of damage in some way? Since booster chips don’t seem to work when I try it. Also what else does it do that makes it a god among the mega chips.
Hey Gabriel! So funny enough, Double Beast cannot be boosted. The reason it's so good is because 95% of the time it can't miss at all, and it multi-hits to kill people through Undershirt. It also can be used while you're standing on a hole and I'm pretty sure it can break obstacles in front of the opponent too. There may be other things I'm forgetting to mention but it's VERY strong!
Nah, unfortunately Dustman gets an F because of Dust Cross. Most strategies have you Dust Cross first to dig for what you need, and with a single back b you remove the objects the chip would poltergeist. Doubly so if your opponent also Dust Crosses because then it's a reflex race to deny them the objects. And I don't know what bonus damage it gives the chip but it gives Megaman a 200 damage attack at a buster trigger, and I know I've seen it stay at the ready even after a decross! Dustman's chip could only be guaranteed to reach full potential in the hands of a Gregar player vs another Gregar player
It's been awhile since I made this video but I probably meant that Tomahawk Cross heals on Grass panels but also takes extra damage from Fire moves (x3 instead of x2)
Thanks for the continued love for the series! You are a pillar of this community

We've talked about doing it, yes! Definitely on the docket : )

The fact that Roll can never truly "whiff" even against Invis or AntiDamage is super notable. Healing is always nice!
A chip code tier list would be nice. So would a Single-code Folder tourney!

Django also has an input code (L,L,L,A once he rides down) to do something like an extra 120 damage
You're right! Definitely worth mentioning

Nice to have this as a refresher. Looking forward to the next tournament
I wish DiveMan inflicted the Bubble status, even if it came with a little damage nerf. It would give him much more utility.
That's such a cool twist on Diveman, I kinda love it! Reminds me of Cancer Bubble from Starforce
The B bros in S and Aquaman in A imo

@@scoutmasterdemi 750 damage to tomahawk on grass 👀 👀

We probably could have dumped most of C tier into F tier hahaha!
what do you mean grass panel on tomahawk

Have you tried ranking all the Navi chips in battle network 4 or 5? They are pretty good.
Maybe one day! The PVP for those games isn't as deep as 6 but it might be fun to mix it up
@@scoutmasterdemi ok sure
