Great video and AAR! An absolutely amazing table, with possibly the best representation of hedgerows I've seen (while also being very playable). Appreciate the way you convey the essence of the battle, from the plan of attack to the decisive moment of victory, in under 10 minutes. Incredibly well done!
Wow, great stuff guys. The audio is high quality, you have a good lighting setup, attention to detail in shot compositions (particularly enjoyed the shot of knocking down the fence gate), and on point editing choices. If I had to nitpick, I would've liked either a few more overhead shots, or another mapshot à la 3:28 with the positions of troops overlaid - the sprawling network of bocage isn't confusing only for the troops on the ground. I think this is probably the strongest entry to this challenge thus far, I'm excited to see what else is to come.
Great format and editing on this! Definitely look forward to more. I like rules that play out like a movie script - and reward combined arms. Nice work!
Nicely done! Your video told the story of the game in a way that was easy and fun to follow. Also I really like the portrait of the dog-general on the wall!
Huge fan of this channel already; only thing i'd say is maybe so a private talk with the players to say what their plans are, so we cab see how well they go
Well presented and structured. One point to consider possibly in the future is the analysis and tactics deployed at the end segment which I think can tie in with the operational aims. What went well, what didn’t etc. In the QS format there is very little time and I thought this video was really well done with the time limit and was appreciated. Best wishes
That was cool. I too have Battlegroup rules with Tobruk...cause I have LOADS of North Africa miniatures :) These Quick Strike reports sure want me to make one as well :D
You guys make excellent videos. The edit made the video quick and interesting to watch. The quality of your maps is awesome. I would love to see some videos on how you've built them as well : )
Thanks alexdamado! we appreciate our comment. Make sure to stay tuned for more videos soon! We will be airing a Kursk video soon with a table the does the battle justice.
I would be interested in you lighting and camera. Perhaps a picture of how your lighting is set up. Oh wait, I’m seeing the ceiling. However, are you supplementing the lighting for some of the close in shots?
Great job! We've been regular Battlegroup players for over ten years and it is definitely our Go To WWII rule set. Interesting artillery template you are using there, how does it work?
Thanks Stuart, it is the best 15mm/20mm rule set for WWII! We devised that template to aid in determining random direction. The long portion is always pointed at the unit that called the fire mission and a D12 is rolled for random direction of deviation. It is probably overkill but it certainly takes the judgment out of artillery deviation.
Hey Steve thanks for watching our video! We're just getting our sea legs as a channel so we don't have much planned as far as t-shirt distribution, but who knows what the future holds! If we do another batch of t-shirts i will send you one on the house as you were one of our first views/comments.
That is a really good looking table! Great AAR.
Thanks, this was our first crack at video making.
@@LongShotWargaming if this is a *first* effort we have really great things to look forward to!

Great video! My father in law received his Purple Heart with the 29th division in the battle for St Lo.
Thanks for the view! We owe a lot to the 29th for their actions on D-day and in Normandy!

Awesome on all levels.
Thats a sick gaming den!

Luckily our overhead lighting is pretty good which means we don't need any supplement.
Is this the same longshot who flies DCS with GS? Great video either way! Definitely a lucky find for me and will certainly be watching more. Thanks.
Nope not us but welcome to the channel!
