Thank you for affirming my HR Flex Prime purchase. Your video was what made me what to consider the unit in the first place, and I could not be any happier with my purchase. Thanks for the good video Do you have any opinion on Addictive Drums (specifically the metal pack) compared to something like the krihm or trivium drum plugins from bogren digital? I've not been able to find someone who has done a comparison between them. I currently use addictive drums and I'm happy with it but would like to know if there is something better for metal before I pull trigger on something like bogren (as I would like to expand and try something new) Also addictive drums don't need kontak where as a lot of other drum plugins do (not sure if this makes much difference)
I'm not sure I've seen any other people do a tier list of their own reviews... Very smart move tbh! A good way to summarize the year, and then send more traffic to the videos you've made of the higher tier items. PS: I want to request a review of a somewhat out-of-pocket guitar--the Yamaha Revstar lineup (Element, Standard, Professional). John Browne of Monuments made a review which sent me down a rabbit hole of reviews... Oddly his was one of the only reviews demonstrating the Rev's metal/overdriven tone capabilities. I ended up with a Revstar Standard, and it's now one of my most prized possessions/favourite guitar. The build quality VS price point on the Rev Standard seems.... illegal. In a good way.
You will now lol. In all honesty, I always try to do some sort of recap video like this at the end or beginning of the next year. This year I just decided to do a tier list instead. TBH, it worked out great because I'm constantly getting asked "what do you think of X now that Y time has passed?", and this is a really efficient way to address all those questions at once without making dedicated videos! Interesting guitar, I've never heard of it, but if I get the right opportunity to I will!
my only comment is that the Headrush Core can do all the stuff that the Flex Prime can do, with the software, the superclones, cloning plugins, etc. Headrush provided every Prime/Core owner with free access to the revalver software with the 4.0 update that coincided with the release of the Flex Prime...I know that opinions are based on personal usage, but I use the Core for guitar, vocals, and backing tracks, with the "practice tool" feature. The Flex Prime doesn't have the I/O to support all of that. I actually wished that they had released a "Flex Core," as well, that was similar, but didn't include the expression pedal.....kinda HX Stompish, with cloning tech.
I have also thought about downsizing to the MT 15..... WAY loud with that huge transformer and has an awesome note clarity even with the high gain. I'm kinda broken so my monster tube amps and shit are just getting to be too much especially for rehearsal and a miced cab live anyway.
The JS11 is also great because it's HIGHLY VALUABLE as mod/upgrade platform. 2 point trem, 2 hum, 3 way toggle, full size pots. Also, there is a JS12 model with 24 frets that is similarly spec'd and priced.
By the way, some of us beginners are old and are better at fixing things than playing things. Just saying. I live in Portland and I'm in the market for a pointy guitar if you've got any that you're sick of. I want to try something I can angle up and straighten out my wrist, it might improve my playing, haha. I would trade 1 or 2 or 3 or more of my guitars for a pointy one. I've got a new black JS22 7 string that I installed red Fishman Fluence open core moderns in so it looks like a stovetop with 2 hot burners, but now it's too good for my apartment/practice amp. It needs a real amp. I would trade that as well. You get partial credit for turning me into a gear junkie.😎👍

@@needsLITHIUM yeah, I unmade it lol
I appreciate the video but the camera tracking your head movement is jarring to watch.
If you buy a Fesley guitar, put a one star review and say that the setup is trash or whatever. They will send you another one and you don't have to ship back the first one. And I even asked for another model and they accepted. They both have trash setup but if you are open to adjust action and stuff, it's an ok guitar.
Sounds illegal, bro! I'm calling the police 👮🏼♂
@@karlblanchette5217 that’s hilarious, but I actually donated the guitars they sent me to a local charity. I didn’t go into it much here, but there’s a full video on why I think they’re not a great company.
